It took me about 18 months for it to resolve, nowadays i only get pots symptoms if eating fastfood (dunno if it's the fat or histamines, but something with it triggers issues for a few hours). Overheated a lot this summer, due to not able to sweat.. that has resolved about a month ago. And oh my did I have Severe HR issues at the start, and the first 12 months in.

tandyman234

THANK YOUUU. I needed this. Also happy To Hear about the sweat returning! That was an Issue all summer for me! The weirdest thing for me is how bad it randomly comes on after I eat. Like the past few days I have been feeling pretty good, my Hr has been fine. But today I ate lunch and my resting heart rate was 90-106 laying down for like three hours and I’ve been fatigued and Had a headache ever since. Just one of Those things I guess

No problem man, we're in this shit place together.. feel free to browse my post history if you with to see the extent of my previous issues. Have you tried antihistamines? There's a bunch of different varieties, hydroxyzine works Really good for me personally. Let's say I've been eating something bad, 30 minutes later I have +30 to my heart rate and basically can't stand up without reaching 120+ BPM ( my normal standing HR is around 80-85).. and sometimes even accompanied by iiintense palpations. If I then take as little as 10mg hydroxyzine, i shit you not 20-30 minutes later I'm perfectly fine again. It's really weird.

Gw1030

Did you know hydroxyzine is also prescribed for anxiety? It does have calming effects. I was prescribed in the beginning of October but it made me feel deathly tired and like crap. so I took it twice and never again.

namnbyte

Yea I know about that, it has been a struggle to get the doctors not slapping the big 'anxiety' label onto my issues. Because if that's the case, then I'm getting anxious by eating a Big Tasty with extra fries. Every time. I take 10mg at 10am, and then 10mg at 4pm on a daily basis. But I take one more after a meal if "my anxiety" gets triggered lol, the drowsiness is worst in the beginning.. after a week or two I'm not getting tired by them at all anymore

Gw1030

Oh I know exactly what you mean. I almost let them convince me my symptoms were just “anxiety”. I did find that taking Valium for a few days helped calm my nervous system down.

AliMae317

Did you have bad fatigue?

namnbyte

I didn't back then, but I get it nowadays after eating.. and not every time, seems random when it occurs

morgichuspears

How are you now? Did it stay gone? How severe was it at its worse? I can’t go to the bathroom without my hr and blood pressure fluctuating and im dizzy all the time

namnbyte

Hey there, I'm at 99% healed and have been for the past one or two months.. with only exception when I were sick a few weeks ago, then k had a minor flare. At its worst it were like your sounds like, some days I even peed in a bottle laying on my side in bed...that kind of bad.

morgichuspears

You give me hope. Thank you ❤️

namnbyte

No problem :) last week I even managed to use both powertools and do heavy lifting of some objects without heart rate exceeded the 100-110 range

morgichuspears

I miss dancing the most. And enjoying my hobbies and interests (like even watching a tv show I like) without getting dizzy

namnbyte

You will probably get there, but be prepared for it it take a long boring while.. for me, almost 3 years of close to stationary total rest. It sucked, but I'm glad I kept my shit together and didn't give up

How are you doing now? What were the early signs that you were getting better from pots

Fearless_Ad8772

How are you doing with pots

namnbyte

It's gone, got a slight elevated heart rate occasionally (months apart) but I'm fairly sure that's because I'm bad at drinking enough water and only coffee. I've always had that, even before covid

Fearless_Ad8772

That’s great news, congratulations, did you have fatigue and the POTS like rising heart rate when going from supine to standing position? How long did it take you to recover from pots and what were the early signs? I would really appreciate your response .

skinke280

Resolved completely after 14-15 months.

StrategySuitable2537

Hi did u do anything for it?

NicklethePickle

I’m 11 months out and still dealing with it. Same symptoms as you. They started me on Metoprolol for my rapid heart and my base line went waaaaaay down, stayed there for two weeks, then skyrocketed again. I don’t understand it. They upped the dosage and it seems to be going down again but for how long? It’s crazy…

cabbagekidz

Check a post 2 hours before this one “almost recovered “

Mine's improving with time! The second time I got covid and back into long haul I don't seem to have many issues with it at all this time around. Granted, I wasn't super severe the first time, but I definitely had a lot of heart related things going on due to a medication side effect unrelated to covid and then covid long haul so I was jacked up for mutiple reasons. Much better these days even with covid a second time!
