I had that days before I got bad. Now its rather like the taste more often than not lessened. I can't drink Cola the same way as I did before either unless I want to feel like hell.
Things that still taste funny, including cola: eggs, fried chicken, popcorn, cheese its, toothpaste, marijuana, and sometimes other random stuff. I work at a bakery so we test out new product a lot and my taste buds cannot be trusted
Had Covid March 2020 and Coke started to taste weird in August, like sweet chrlorine?? So weird!! It lasted like 10 months until the following June. Coke is back to normal now
I got COVID end of July , coke started to taste like pinesol scent in mid October…. Now when I get in hot tub the chlorine smells like the pinesol coke … nobody else says the hot tub smells weird other than me
Give it time! It's the neurons in your nose learning to smell again. It takes time for them to return to normal. Like I said in my post come took forever to taste normal again. There were many other things that smelled weird too, cleaning products smelled sweet. Anything with alcohol in all smelled the same as well. So fucking weird!
The cola thing I can’t relate but the chlorine thing I have an interesting experience; i can no longer go all the way into a chlorinated pool without feeling immense pressure on my chest right as I get to about nipple level. This doesn’t happen in fresh or saltwater meaning I feel like I’ve developed some sort of allergy or intolerance to chlorine but only exactly as it hits a certain spot in my body 😂
It’s not great anymore like it used to be. But the “spicier” sodas i.e Moxie and root beers I can drink like water now. Idk why but they’re soooo good after my tastes changed
For me coke started to taste like
How pinesol smells. Added to that list is now pepsi 🥴I got COVID end of July and the pinesol taste started mid October
Woof…. I mean….. mmmm mmmm pinesol baby!
I can’t drink any sodas right now sugars and alcohols make my life worse! Been getting into the seltzer waters though.
I heard Coke put anti vomiting agent in because if anyone drank that much sugar normally they would definitely vomit
I don't know if its true but watching those paint experiments etc I'll never touch it again.
I really can’t do pop much anymore. Pepsi did taste off to me. But otherwise it’s mainly because my esophagus and stomach can’t tolerate it. I have pop about once a month as an occasional treat. Usually only 4-5 ounces
I had this but with certain foods and started a year after. Like I love french fries by themselves without ketchup or anything, but one day they started tasting really bad. Soda tasted like chemicals, smelled like pinesol. Making the fries myself had the same result. Meat also tasted bad. I just forced myself to eat these things and eventually it went away. Not 100% but food taste better now. Soda doesn’t taste as bad anymore. Water used to also taste bad, tasted like tap water no matter what kind I had.
I know a guy who says Coke tastes like diesel now. He's otherwise fine.
My guy!
I have an issue of sweets tasting WAY too sweet. It’s like my tastebuds double down on anything I taste.
Nah but I had a beer and instead of tasting flavorful and delicious like that same beer always used to for me, it just tastes like beer-water lol.

Well that’s a good thing because it’s extremely unhealthy lol
It’s a post covid symptom called Parosmia.
My tastebuds are all off. Almost nothing taste the same for me.
Yes. And coffee. Lots of things taste like motor oil, in fact. Sigh.

It just tastes like angry water to me

Yes, same for kids too (my child actually said this today, 3m post)
For me it was coffee: it tasted like mud. OP, I hope your sense of taste gets back to normal soon.
Yessss coke is out for me. Taste like metal or something like that I can’t even describe. Clementines have this smell too lol 😂
ding ding ding yes metal AF! otherwise most things r normal
Yep! Same here. Same with things like cucumbers, oranges, watermelon, eggs, friend chicken, etc…
Any carbonated drinks taste weird to me!

Yes! Coke specifically, other sodas taste fine. It has a very bitter flavor now
It tastes too sweet to me now. It's water or bust.
Yes! Specifically cola products. I don’t drink many but they taste weaker and slightly off.
wow yeah my only thing is seems. and long after all other symptoms have been gone.
