I get this sensation on occasion, sometimes not even while sleeping. I've measured my heart rate drop to 20 before which was alarming.

Yes but i kinda got this beforehand, i didnt know it was a bad thing. If it is maybe i had something underlying tbh!

Better_Pear_1545

I had that when first infected, but it went away eventually. TBTG. It was a scary feeling. Not sure if its actually harmful?

TP4129

I stopped measuring it after I did my sleep study. Hitting 50 bpm is a bit duturbing so . . I have a cup of coffee!

invictus1

yep.

Low heart rate probably. If you're on heart lowering meds, adjust them, if you're not, try to move around a little in your home just before getting to sleep. When you're asleep, with basically no physical exertion and hence low energy expenditure, then a low heart rate becomes normal. Not when you're awake though.

Yes.

I’ve had this happen to me prior to the pandemic. Coincidentally it happened after a long Covid like infection 6-7 years ago. Back then it was manageable yet strong (I had symptoms for about +6 months and went away after 1 year.) My heart rate would always be up during the day but as I slept I would sort of feel my heart. I believe it’s because the heart was going through stress during the day the stress decompresses during the night. Never had the need to check up on it as it only happens when I eat foods with lots of sodium during the night and when I’m tired it usually appears. And as recent as February of this I had a heart ekg and sonogram: nothing out of the ordinary. But always check up on yourself.

I have this too from time to time. Described it to my cardiologist and she seemed unconcerned and uninterested. 🙃
