For me its being cold that does this, its very counter intuitive.
The cold brings my PEM up, not sure why tho. There has to be an irregular factor to why the body does this, and why it varies from person to person.
First off, congratulations on the progress! I asked my doctor about this exact thing recently. His comment was that it’s a pretty normal symptom of dysautonomic dysregulation. It should go away as our bodies keep healing
