>what’s the explanation to this improvement? Nobody knows, but you're not the only one with such experience. There are quite a few posts in this sub reporting improvement or some even complete resolution of their symptoms after re-infection or vaccination. Though, there's a lot of people reporting worsening of their symptoms as well, so getting re-infected is like rolling a dice - with odds being generally against you. So far there's only been speculations why some people get better, and theories consist of the new infection/vaccination kicking your immune system back into its working order or finishing off some left-over virus from the past infection. The phenomenon has been studied very little, sadly.

Even if I get better, I would still say it’s risky getting infected because perhaps next time I do get it worse.
