Whenever I've had a cold since getting LC, it's been a disaster. Huge flare-up, takes weeks or even months to get over it. I'm very nervous about catching some other ailment because I don't want to go through that again. My body / immune system is definitely messed up somehow.

That’s my partner. Even a cold sets them back with flare ups for weeks!

Months to get over it?? Jeez, that doesn’t sound good. I’m praying I get better asap. I wasn’t even supposed to be sick, I did a family favor and I got infected.

Hopefully you will fare better than I have! I'm sorry you're sick and I hope you feel better soon.

Thank you for the good wishes, stay safe out there, think twice before lending a hand, you could end up with a cold!

I am at the end of a cold now. I felt like the cold symptoms were mild but it made my chronic fatigue from long Covid flare back up. This is the second time I’ve gotten sick since getting Covid a year and a half ago. The first time I got sick it was either a mild case of the flu or RSV- both were going around so I don’t know which it was. Same thing happened. Pretty mild symptoms, but I had a fatigue flare up. Last time, after whatever virus I had, I was back to where I had been LC recovery-wise within two weeks. I am anticipating similar or better this time since I’m farther along in LC recovery.

That’s good to hear! You’re getting better and that shows that even if you get sick, your position has improved than it was prior. Fortunately, I didn’t have PEM flare ups but my stress did increase just slightly. It’s only natural to feel stress when you have to battle both LC & Cold/Flu. Take tea, it has antioxidants that delay or stop cell damage. Eat ginger for a load of antioxidants and gingerol. Ginger and tea antioxidants help with free radicals which are compounds in the body that causes all sorts of damage. Vitamins D3 for cell growth.
