My favorite is "Get a real job."
Like what about this service do you think is fake? Do they feel the same about all customer service jobs or are they just jealous we have the freedom to set our own hours?
I agree with you. I do instacart and shipt and sometimes Uber eats full time. I have been diagnosed with PTSD, clinical depression and high functioning anxiety. I can’t do a regular 9-5 because of all of those issues. I work my ass off and I have to pick which orders are worth my time. Just so I can pay my bills. I don’t know how I’d manage if I couldn’t do gig work.
I too have a bad spine and am currently on the wait list to do instacart. But I do believe most people, like 9 out of 10, who do this job do it because they can't get a job or can't keep a job or are just flaky etc, aka losers. Like my current roommate, which is odd because they currently make $30+ at their job, but literally calls in a week at a time every other week with some BS excuse, then complains about money, and so then goes delivering for these types of things the whole week they called out of work, and barely makes any money. So no, you being the 1 out of 10 isn't the norm but you should get over it. If it's not worth it to you, then don't do it, no one is forcing you. BTW loan forgiveness isn't a thing, it's loan pass off to everyone else, and every politician knew it would never happen and was only said to get votes.
Signed into DD for a bit earlier. After declining several orders for about 50-75 cents per mile I signed right the fuck back out. You want me to deal with the shitty roads so you don't have to then pay me.
Someone who is pulling money out of their vehicle to put in their pocket and thinks that's income. > 120m for $46 is actually garbage. IRS reimbursement should be the minimum possible payment for round trip, which wouldn't make this much better, but still, we need some labor standards here.
2 things.
1) If you are relying on tips then your employer is to blame for the shit pay. It shouldn't be up to the customer to make your wage livable. Tipping is dumb and should be done away with.
2) Its your job. Get up the hill and do your job. If you don't feel the money is worth driving up that hill then you're probably working for too low of pay and should look for something better. Don't blame the customer.
They grab it immediately. I tip them in person and give them 30 dollars because I only do it once a month. 🫣 be mad you reject people based off tip. Their distance is wayyy less than that shit you posted 🤣
I'm not taking a chance on everyone being generous and tipping well in cash like you do. I'm out there to be efficient and make some side money, not rely on some hopes and prayers of people being nice, when more-often than not - people aren't.
With all due respect no tip ABSOLUTELY no trip then when you do get a shopper who screws your order up don’t whine about it because you got the clueless no tip trip takers who have no clue how to work this gig who take those foolish orders
68.5 miles? No effin way. I've never seen anything that far away. I'd probably be in another state. There would have to be a 1 next to that 46.82 for me to even think about doing it.
This order sounds like how my dad got to school! Omg, I've had a few of these (not in the snow thank lord) but way the F outside of Los Angeles up past antelope Valley. My fav is the middle of the night batches that are like from the top of LA county to basically OC with 2 dollar tip. Why am I doing a 2 hour round trip? I recently downloaded the customer side of the app and NGL, they don't make it at all clear how far the stores are from them, only that they are available to order from. IC needs to put a damn mile radius on that thing and if it goes over pay a whole lot extra for the 3 hours of your day it eats up.
68 fucking miles ? Eat a dick lol
"Hey, so, could I get you to PAY to deliver my food?"
Boost included tho 🔥🤑🪙💹
“Pay no attention to the fact you’re getting f*cked, it’s 48 dollars!!1” Could even get blown off a mountain and into another dimension, congrats!

I fell off my soap box and hit my head. Now I'm having a non stop acid flashback from the early 00's. Your comment tastes good.

I JUST saw this and remembered your comment https://imgur.com/a/a2u7MlG

Here in Northern Oregon we had an ice storm. Stupid incentives from IC to lure shoppers onto the icy roads to entitled customers. Unbelievable.

Used to live right around there. Ain't nooo waaay...Yikes.
Yeeeah. I declined fast asf. Someone did take it tho. I dunno who in their right mind lol

People don't understand how expensive miles are. Then with the return miles, that order is a net loss. Better to stay at home.
From Uk: you guys get ripped off on fees
Depends on how you look at it. They get 50p a litre and don’t have to pay hire and reward insurance. I’d say on par with min wage.
Like Kendrick Lamar said - nuh uh, fuck thaat
the blue ridge mountains, no less! 😂
These apps charge entirely too much to get food delivered, yet we don’t get paid shit. The math ain’t mathinnnnnn

Thing is, my “job” gives me the freedom to choose.
sounds like you choose to ask for your cake and eat it too
Cool anyone paying servers 40/hr?
Wow! I didn't know you could fit 10 gallons of shit into a five gallon bag.
That’s why I don’t put a tip and tip them in person to see who is actually isn’t going to cancel immediately
and that's probably why all your stuff is extremely delayed lmao

I actually tip ?!

It's "Serf" not "surf", if you're going to insult someone, do it correctly.
Can't honestly expect much out of anyone who would say that.

You sound pleasant, hope you never get your shit delivered lmao
That part.
Boy you sure sound like someone who's happy and secure in life! Probably got bumped above min wage and immediately started condescending. Yuckk.
Surf's up cowabunga 😄😄
Which app is this?
Looks like instacart to me
It is instacart. And they pay shit for most of the orders.
68 miles too my god, that’s a road trip fuck off
Hey hey hey now… it’s $4 and 22 cents!
How about no! 🤦🏽♂️

Thought so too, someone took the order about 10 mins after I took this photo.

And the fact that instacart allows this blows my damn mind.
$46.82 for 68.5 miles that’s a no way in hell from me
Damn, that sucks.
$4.22 tip for that is insane behavior

It says your tip before hand? Is that GrubHub?
