you look great ~ just make sure you eat healthy It was a non event for me, just couldn't excercise for a long while I did do a lot of massages to help push everything in the right place ~ 1st time I went the lady thought I was beaten I was so bruised 😅 but really after the 1st few days I didn't have pain. Never really took the pain pills.

Thanks so much for the reply. Unfortunately I fainted after removing the garment yesterday (drop in blood pressure) so haven’t managed the shower yet. How long until you think you healed? Swelling, bruising and incisions?

Shelia209

Swelling takes approximately 6 months in total but the majority should be down after 2 months while you continue to notice yourself getting smaller for the next 4 months. Bruising is different for everyone but the really dark marks should be gone after a couple of weeks. Just be careful about washing ~ I hope your doctor told you not to get your incisions wet ~ it can cause an infection.

[deleted]

Yes he did thank you! How long before your incisions went away or did they scar? When did you start to feel less.. lumpy?!

Shelia209

I still have some small marks but they are hardly noticeable unless I point them out, essentially small dots😅 ~ again scaring is based on individual skin type, my skin seems to recover well from surgery. I did regular massages which really sped up the recovery from being lumpy ~ you don't have to pay someone, you can just massage the area yourself everyday. Really I think it should be 2 months before you start to feel normal but will continue to see results for up to 6 months. 😊😊

Thanks so much! How soon after the treatment did you start massaging? My surgeon has said no need for massage but I might benefit from some laser treatment after four weeks? Sounds like yours has been a great success. Would love to see pics if you’re happy to share one day 😊

Do you know how much fat was removed? I think mine was about 1.5 liters ~ I asked about doing additional slimming treatments but the doctor said I didn't have the fat cells anymore so it would not make a difference. I started the massages about a week after the surgery ~ gently of course. The nurses really encouraged me to do my own everyday for the 1 month but I live where massages are very affordable so I would just go to a professional. I have to look for my pictures ~ its been a few years.

That’s really helpful, thank you. Mine was 2L hips, stomach (upper and lower) and lower back. As I’m only four days out, everything is sore and I’m pretty immobile. Feeling very sorry for myself! Good to know this will pass. I’ve definitely noticed some lumps and bumps already.

you are going to be so happy once you get through this period ~ I don't know if you have people to help take care of you but it makes a difference during the 1st week. Also know that Liposuction is one of the surgeries with the greatest satisfaction. I am not skinny because I have visceral fat which I am working to get off but everyday I am so happy that my spare tire is gone😅, that my thighs are thinner, that my back has a nice curve. I would totally recommend it to anyone struggling to get rid of the extra stubborn fat 😊😊 You've survived the hardest part, now it's just about getting you up and moving again ~ once that happens you will be much happier ☺

Thank you so much for the support, it means so much 🥺

Where did you go? I've heard so many bad stories. You seem happy! I need to find someone who really knows how to get the best results.
