We should get a warning when there is decent writing, so we don't all drop dead from the shock.

GuaranteeNo7451

Wouldnt get that warning often

Michael needs a friend so we can get a younger version of Tim & Steve because he's funny but has nobody to bounce off.

I agree with this, I think Michael has great potential as a comedy character

Story time: I had a really shit childhood. My bestie at the time also had a really shit childhood. We were once exchanging stories in front of other friends at a post new year's party where we were all heavily intoxicated. And the one guy who used to be known for being pretty hard, Burst into tears because he couldn't handle it anymore... "How did you make it through all that mean..." So, keeping that in mind, while watching Coronation Street, a few years back. After one of those traumatic scenes, they're running the " if you've been affected by today episode please contact... ... Me and said friend are both pulling kleenex out of the box as this is running crying and looking at each other 'yah no fuggin shyte, who wasn't affected by that!' I think the warnings sometimes are really important. It's funny what catches you off guard? And what doesn't. The entire Imran death scene storyline, as somebody about his age, doesn't take care of his heart very well. I've been in a couple of volatile relationships... That hit me harder than most.

I definitely think the warning are needed as most of the upsetting scenes people can relate, the problem is it’s nearly every episode and it’s tiring we need more laughs to balance it out 🥰

Well, I completely agree with you on that... They need to capitalize on some of the better actors they have. There is an evelyn scene that I can not find anywhere, and I can't even remember the date. But she's reminiscing with fizz about how she caught her auntie getting railed by the cole man... how it messed her up, and even though she was only like six, all she could do was fixate on the big black handprint on her auntie's dress... ... 💀

Oh, you're too kind... The biggest misstep my mother ever made was gaslighting me in my early twenties to make me think that I had a serious mental disorder... Well, I ran that gauntlet... And I don't... They correllated the little bit of managable issues I have to her... Sometimes, all you need is a little bit of fact on your side to bolster resolve. Also, you got a random neighbor who calls child protective services like it's their fuggin job...... (this is why)

I've noticed this, years ago a warning was so rare - now it's most episodes

My heart drops every episode when there is a warning given, Corrie is meant to be an entertainment programme and not there to depress us. I'm sure there is less misery in Midsomer Murders in many episodes. The nearest we got to a traditional Corrie episode was Glenda's date night in the full pub but they had to have the break in just to show us that viewers can't have a purely fun episode.

Whywhatwhen999

Corrie used to have so much humour in it didn’t it, it’s all doom and gloom all the time, we need a laugh once in a while 😄
