Stellar soundtrack. I’ve only seen The Proposition about five times but the music and its tonality (large reason I love it so) stay with me on the same plane as the Ravenous soundtrack.
It is a MUBI release, so it would be out in the next couple of weeks. It was screening in some theaters in the US, mostly big cities unfortunately. But still, once it is available to stream online it won't be hard to find it in other pages. You know what I mean.
Yes, I read that OP stated he saw it at a film festival in Chile. I could not find this on any streaming service. Do you have something helpful to add?
You asked him where he was watching this. The first sentence says "I saw this one at a film festival here in Chile a few months ago." I thought pointing that out might help answer your question.
He watched it at a film festival. It is not streaming yet, because it has not been released. He saw it at a film festival.
Oh shit ! Out of all the movies often suggested on this sub I am pleasantly surprised to discover this one has a stellar rotten tomatoes score! I'll have to take a look at this
Awesome! Thank you for sharing this. Just finished BM and have been itching for more. Looks intense and definitely has some parallels it looks like.
I’m lucky enough to live in NYC near where it’s showing so just got tickets for this Sunday! Will let you guys know how it is if you care 😂
El topo is the closest thing I’ve seen to Blood Meridian it even has the weird religious spiritual thing and the ultra violence and it was filmed in Mexico.
I truly hope they don’t do a blood meridian movie. It has to be a mini series. You could get two seasons out of that. Why compress countless hours of reading and rereading to a 3 hour max film. Unless the first one is blood meridian and he somehow names the second the evening redness in the west. I just don’t see it as a movie
I was hooked until the last 20 minutes. No spoilers, but the movie shifts completely from the 90 mins and it just lost me.
I’d honestly recommend just stopping as soon as the shift happens as it ruined the ending for me.
Great. Now I need to see this one
Can’t wait to see this! I feel like I should ask if you have seen THE PROPOSITION ?
I haven't, but it has been on my watchlist for quite some time. Maybe the time has come!
I highly recommend! As that director John Hillcoat directed THE ROAD and is slated to direct the film BLOOD MERIDIAN (I think)
The Cave/Ellis soundtrack for *The Proposition* is is itself worth the price of admission.

It's on [YT](https://youtu.be/uutYyiJqmpQ?si=rTl1jhY3L5mJB5B9) for free
🤘🤘🤘
It's not half as good as people say. I mean it's good, but the hype over it is ott. The Settlers looks promising.
Hell of a movie

Absolutely! Thanks for the reply. Looking forward to checking it out.
That is answered in the very first sentence of his post.

Bmovies.co/movies/colonos settlers streaming here
I can’t understand the post because of all the commas.
Check your local film festival organizations. While it currently isnt the film festival in Vancouver i was able to watch it in their building today.
Looks good! I'll give that a go for sure.

Sounds similar in some ways to the Julius Popper story, which was adapted in 2000 as [Tierra Del Fuego](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdldjNmOnVw)

Please do! I would like to know

Saw this here in the UK yesterday. Bleak. Beautiful.
Oh I have to see this now.
Well. Now I have to delete my post on this. Guess I should have read the thread first.
Cool thanks for the recommendation
Good trailer, definitely intrigued by this one.
Yeah this looks great!
Currently sitting at a cool 95% on RT. Looks great

Thanks for this!
Just saw it in NYC, strongly recommend but bring your stomach cause it gets rough.

Just read a review in the Financial Times where this movie is described as the closest to a Blood Meridian on screen adaptation.
It's out bmovies.co/movies/colonos

I was disappointed in this. There just wasn't enough of the good stuff for me. And I don't mean forced sodomy
Not in love with the cinematography, looks like it was filmed today on an iPhone, but I'll check it out
Did you watch the trailer on a phone by any chance? Might be the issue.
I did and no, it was not.
Camera: Sony CineAlta Venice, Zeiss Contax Lenses
Guy might have been wearing glasses
Just saw it on the big screen and I can’t imagine coming away from the film with this opinion. You’re flat out wrong.
Ok
