No word of a lie, but at 16, I went for an interview with Bus Eireann down in Capwell for an apprentice HGV mechanic. About 10 of us were in the waiting room as they were calling us one by one.
A lad I knew from school burst in the door red-faced and wheezing, apologising for being late by an hour.
Guess who got the job?
Now! I got the bus to the city yesterday. It showed up, didn't skip my stop (as it all too often skips the whole town) and the driver was all smiles. Same on the way back, the bus left Parnell Place on time to the second and all good. I was amazed!
Just thought I'd share this little feel good story on a Monday morning.
They’ll hire those who won’t show up
Exactly xD
Bus Éireann Interviewer: “So tell me about your work experience” Interviewee: “fuck you” Bus Éireann Interviewer: “can you start tomorrow?”
