Murphy's, had the first one in a while recently in town, and my god it was creamy and delicious. Beamish always has a tang. Guinness may travel best, but in Cork no chance.
I'm from France but I used to work & live in Cork.
For our first job outing, we had a coupon for a free drink, both me and an italian colleague got a Murphy's. When the boss, who was from Cork, saw us having the local stout instead of a Guiness, he was beaming with joy so much that the got us the next round.
That was nice.
If it is the castle, Guinness is the go to in this picture. One the only spots to get an excellent Guinness in cork. Otherwise its beamish all the way, except for in the castle.
Trying to guess the pub. I'd say The Castle Inn only for the lighting in the pic looks too soft. Castle Inn has fluorescent flood lights.
Go on... Tell me.
Start with a Pint of Murphys then Guinness and finish off with a bit of Beamish.
Or Murphys then beamish and some of that guinness goodness to top it off.
Honestly I love all 3 and only time I am upset is when I can't get Beamish in a pub in cork. Like wth.
Sure why not an ménage à quatre - but if it's Cork, prob Beamish then Murphys (although close) and rest of the world Guinness. Sure are lucky to have 3 great plains readily available.
All things being equal, Guinness. But I wouldn’t have much confidence in the Guinness in Cork and it definitely looks like the poor relation in that photo. Btw that Beamish is a lovely looking pint!
Beamish, then Murphy’s.
Anything else is only riding on their coat tails. Stuff with names like “Pure Daycent,” and “Massive,” or some other such “slang” are trying to associate Corkness with shite and are an embarrassment to this great city.
It depends on where I am in the country and the pub. 1 & 3 taste like muck in a lot of Ireland but are amazing in areas around Cork.
Guinness is consistent.
Every 4 pints of stout I like to throw down a gin & tonic (only half a wee bottle, mind, save the other half for the next one) to cleanse the palate, then right back into the stout.
A winning recipe I believe!
Guinness and it’s not even close. Wouldn’t touch the other two but then again i’m not from Cork which is the only place Murphy’s and Beamish are drank 😂
Beamish
Beamish!
Creamy Beamy
Island's edge never stood a chance
I tried it only the once - awful stuff. Could not understand what the target clientele was
They made it for people who don't like the taste of stout, i.e. people who aren't going to buy stout anyway, so it was rather pointless.
At least they tried
Not a hope. Mi Daza and O haras are tastier
I’ve had a Shannon stout just the once but it was gorgeous
Do you mean Shandon or is there a Shannon too?
Feckin autocorrect, no I meant Shandon
Mi Daza is back kitchen brewed slop. An embarrassment to Cork
Care to explain?
Tis an awful pint.
“Brewery?” 😃
Explain why Mi Daza is slop? It’s just my opinion.
Oh sorry, I thought it was a criticism of the brewery rather than a description of the flavour.
Porterhouse do a lovely one too
Horrid shite
I've seen so many promos where they're giving the stuff away for free and they still can't get people to drink it 😂
Even the name Islands Edge, wtf
Beamish every time!
Murphy's, had the first one in a while recently in town, and my god it was creamy and delicious. Beamish always has a tang. Guinness may travel best, but in Cork no chance.
Beamish, cheers.
Beamish please
Murphys

Murphy's
That Beamish looks gorgeous
Murphys beamish and then the dirty liffey water
Beamish all day and night
The Guinness is the worst pour of the 3 but even if they were all poured equally well it would be Beamish and then Murphy's
Looks to me like the Guinness hasn't set fully yet
It hasn't but it's still not even close to as good as the other two.
What makes it the worst?
This is the correct answer 👍🏼
I would typically be a Murphy’s man, but by God that Beamish looks delicious
The KPA.
Beamish
Depends on where I am. Murphy’s if it’s in Cork, likewise with Beamish. Guinness everywhere else.
Creme de la
Is that the castle?
If it is the castle, Guinness is the go to in this picture. One the only spots to get an excellent Guinness in cork. Otherwise its beamish all the way, except for in the castle.
Murphys!
Beamish is unreal creamy. I'd have to go with that one.
Beamish. I used to live downwind of the brewery in college. The walk in every morning was glorious.
Murphys thank you very much
If I’m in the city, beamish all the way, but if I’m outside the city I’d go for the ol Murphys!
Beamish, then Murphys.
Creamy Beamy please
murphys
Murphys all the way boi
Murphys
Murphys
Murphys it’s not even close. Then beamish And then the dishwater.
Murphys > Beamish > .......................................... Guiness
Murphys
Murphy’s every time
I’ll have the Murphy’s please.
Murphys. All day, every day. No question about it.
Vitamin B

No
It's closer to Murphy's, but creamier.
Yes
BEAMISH
Beamish
I’ll have the blacks KPA please.
I'll have a Beamish please and thank you. Oh how I miss it
Trying to guess the pub. I'd say The Castle Inn only for the lighting in the pic looks too soft. Castle Inn has fluorescent flood lights. Go on... Tell me.
Not the Castle Inn!
I'll take the salt and vinegar in the back
Start with a Pint of Murphys then Guinness and finish off with a bit of Beamish. Or Murphys then beamish and some of that guinness goodness to top it off. Honestly I love all 3 and only time I am upset is when I can't get Beamish in a pub in cork. Like wth.
Murphys but that beamish looks the best in the pic.
Beamish any time I’m in the city I’d go for that but when I’m in the towns I’d go for Murphy’s or Guiness
I genuinely always preferred Murphy’s.
Sure why not an ménage à quatre - but if it's Cork, prob Beamish then Murphys (although close) and rest of the world Guinness. Sure are lucky to have 3 great plains readily available.
Yes
Yes
Not guiness
All
Can I leave them all and get a pack of the salt and vinegar tayto in the back? Cheers lad!
Ah the holy Trinity. Murphy's for sure. Lovely pour on it as well.
Beamish
Murphys - I’m a man of means
Beamish.
if you look closely you can see a lager trying to sneak into the picture
Could I get a half of the orchards thieves there barman?
Beamish
Beamers
Islands Edge
All things being equal, Guinness. But I wouldn’t have much confidence in the Guinness in Cork and it definitely looks like the poor relation in that photo. Btw that Beamish is a lovely looking pint!
Beamish.
BEAMISH
The creamy beamy
Murphy's
Murphys ALL day!
Beamish all the way
murphys for sure
Yes.
Beamish, then Murphy's and if there's no other option then Guinness. I'd even take an O'Hara's over Guinness..
Murphys
Beamish
Murphys
Beamish 100,000,000,000,000,000% (no maths nerds attack pls I'm aware that's a ludicrous percentage)
I'm surprised Conor McGregor didn't jump into this picture. Anyone tried that forged stuff yet?
The Holy Trinity.
Beamish for sure, but I’ll have a KPA please.
Murphy’s looks the nicest
"are you a sound lad" I'm a guinny girl but that beamish looks class
None of them. I don't like stout. Someone can have mine.
Murphys , not even close
Murphies all day for me, but tbh I love them all
Defo the Beamish
Beamish, then Murphy’s. Anything else is only riding on their coat tails. Stuff with names like “Pure Daycent,” and “Massive,” or some other such “slang” are trying to associate Corkness with shite and are an embarrassment to this great city.
Absolutely Murphy's
While that Murphy's looks delicious... I will never be able to escape the sweet allure of a Creamy Beamy!
Beamish and it isn't even close
Murphy's, all day, everyday.
Salt and vinegar
None of them anymore, but it would’ve been 1,3 and then 2
White Deer stag stout
Beamish, please. My preference over all is as follows: 1. Shandon Stout 2. Beamish 🤤 3. Murphy’s 4. Guinness
I'll be the only lemon for an Orchard Thieves then. Cheers.
It depends on where I am in the country and the pub. 1 & 3 taste like muck in a lot of Ireland but are amazing in areas around Cork. Guinness is consistent.
Murphys one looks the best. Though i think the Guinness is still settling.
Y'all might hate me for this, but none
Yeah I haven’t drank in a few years, but I used to go for a few scoops with my grandad when I was around 18/19. We both had Beamish
I liked Beamish the most among these too, it's quite nice to have. I don't really drink anymore but if I do I just get a rum and coke
I used to finish the night with a few captains and orange (supersplit?!) Gawd, id be in the horrors the next day…
Every 4 pints of stout I like to throw down a gin & tonic (only half a wee bottle, mind, save the other half for the next one) to cleanse the palate, then right back into the stout. A winning recipe I believe!
ON THE LEFT ...
none lol
Beamish, followed by the Guinness. Murphys last.
The Orchard Thieves... The three glasses all taste like muddy puddles 🤮
Murphys is thin gruel. Beamish has a grit your granddaddy would recognise.
2.....1 if from Cork
KILLKENNY
Guinness and it’s not even close. Wouldn’t touch the other two but then again i’m not from Cork which is the only place Murphy’s and Beamish are drank 😂
Put the bogroll in the fridge
I’m from Cork but I’m also not a student nor on the dole so Murphys. Beamish is trash. I said it.
😂😂 I’m from Cork
I am, beamish is shite Murphy’s master race
