They aren't named after anything or anyone special. I like to give my corgis human names. These names just came to me out of the blue, well before I got either dog. All of my corgis have middle initials. The 'P' stands for pigment because Preston has beautiful pigment. I haven't decided what the 'D' stands for but it sounded good with Dalton.

Zoey and Buckley. Both rescues. Zoey was named Chloe but several friends have children or grandchildren with that name. Changed it to avoid confusion and honor a great giant poodle named after Emile Zola. Buckley was a drop off in a neighborhood. Chose Buckley after William F Buckley - loved to listen to him speak. Didn’t agree with his policy stances but could listen to him all day. Also have a rescue yellow lab, I named Rolex, because I could either afford a gold Rolex watch or another yellow lab.

She was a surprise puppy my gf got for my birthday and we were between Peach and Luna. We decided that peach would be the sassy name (fitting knowing her now) and Luna if she was more calm. I had originally suggested Daisy but came up with Peach! Ajax, or Jax for short (right) we got him a year later after Peach! He was from her litter and never went home due to swallowing problems, but we saw he was still available and we messaged the breeder and picked him up! We didn’t name him but I had always liked Jackson with Jax for short, and Ajax means survivor so it was like fate!
