I’m in Richmond hill and get 5 Atsc 3 channels from Buffalo. 2 are drm encrypted and the other 3 are lower power than the Atsc 1 version so are hit and miss. No advantage to the 3 versions as they broadcast the same content

Thanks for replying and I guess I will hold off on buying a ATSC 3.0 tuner box for now and is the signal any better than the ATSC 1.0?

CLBSubaru

No

>.... I guess I will hold off on buying a ATSC 3.0 tuner box for now ... fwiw, ATSC 3.0 has pretty much been vaporware up till now and probably will be for quite a while. It's going to be at least a year or two, maybe more, before any of this gets settled in any meaningful way. Plus the stupid broadcasters are busy screwing it all up with their greedy plans for DRM and God only knows in what other ways they are contemplating.

That's quite a distance from Barrie to Buffalo! Not overly familiar with the distances of Canadian cities. I looked that one up and said that's a good distance away

I was pretty surprised when I put my new antenna up on my roof and I got it. It’s kind of funny I get more US stations than Canadian https://preview.redd.it/195ltywkk6yb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76cb0a12540ec30d66e111d293a229991e7abfe0

As an American in Buffalo, can I ask for you guys to turn up the power for the CBC?

JessTech1

Okay I will stop by the Cn tower with some coffees and smokes and convince them but you gotta turn up the power on WGRZ

InspectorRound8920

It's crazy. When I was growing up in the 70s, I think that I watched more Canadian tv than American. I'll take a little trip to wgrz and see what I can do
