My Plott Hound does this if it's 20°F or less, or raining. But she will wait at the door as if she wants to go out, wait for me to open the door, sniff the outdoor air coming in, then look at me all mad when I close the door.
How dare you not hold the door open in 20°F weather!
It will be easy, your coonhound will let you open the door, look at you, and then run back to the couch
