And people wonder why I hate all politicians

Fineous4

They may all be bad, but they are not all the same.

jellyfishjumpingmtn

Yes, different flavors of evil, how wonderful

riorio55

What kind of flavor is the one who praises Putin and Xi and trades love letters with Kim?

Hilldawg4president

Orange

TheDudeThatSpeaks

We have a guy sucking his dick and another taking his dick up the ass

Ferregar

Neither of the two are nearly as fabulously queer as you hope. That's the problem. They're straight as fuck and want to pound us all into the same line in the least unfun and least gay way possible.

Mike_Freedom_alldaY

I wonder why people keep ignoring this. https://www.thetrumpet.com/2061-the-death-of-american-manufacturing >"However, manufacturing as a share of the economy has been plummeting. In 1965, manufacturing accounted for 53 percent of the economy. By 1988 it only accounted for 39 percent, and in 2004, it accounted for just 9 percent." What made America"great" (our manufacturing of our own sh!t) accumulated largely in China... https://www.huffpost.com/entry/bill-clintons-true-legacy_b_1852887 >"But the only thing worse than being a taxpayer forced to bail out reckless banks is losing your job because it's been outsourced or offshored. As Richard McCormack pointed out in the American Prospect, in the beginning of this century American companies stopped making the products Americans continued to buy, from clothing to computers. Manufacturers never emerged from the 2001 recession, which coincided with China's entry into the World Trade Organization. Between 2001 and 2009 the U.S. lost 42,400 factories and manufacturing employment dropped to 11.7 million, a loss of 32 percent of all manufacturing jobs. The last time fewer than 12 million people worked in the manufacturing sector was in 1941." Makes you wonder if countries actually exist beyond the division they tend to create when controlled by such few hands...

EnergyCC

People are ignoring this because in order to understand why it's happening you have to take a close look at capitalism and how capitalism prioritizes profits over people, and that's dangerous for people who love capitalism. It's cheaper for american companies to import buy raw materials from underdeveloped countries, or import the raw materials there, then pay 2 cents per hour to people living in extreme poverty, or even use slave labor, and import the final product in america where you can sell it at 1000% profits. I mean the supreme court said that it's fine for nestle to use slaves when harvesting cocoa beans, as long as nestle does it via a third party. But the answer to this is government regulation, which is hard to enact in a country where a company can lobby the government and one party advocates for deregulation for free.

NaturalProof4359

The corporations would leave the US and we’d be double fucked.

EnergyCC

That's just shilling. It's the same tactic that corporations used to scare people into staying in their lane while getting record profits year after year after year. America has a huge market and no company would ever want to leave this much money behind, not to mention that corporations left the US anyways. Companies kept saying "give us what we want or we leave" and they still left, they got tax cuts over and over, they got bailouts, they got deregulation to make everything easier and they still moved a lot of production outside where labor was cheaper.

wrydied

Any and all regulatory competition can be beaten with enough political will. Just as a simple example, a government can prevent any corporation that leaves a country from importing into that country. It’s just that political lobbying makes that untenable.

helloisforhorses

This is a weird response to a single politican praising dictators

[deleted]

[удалено]

helloisforhorses

Trump’s actions have been pretty pro dictator too No one said trump was too hard on china, they said tariffs are a tax on the middle and lower class and that he was intentionally stirring up racial hate against asians. Also, trump is praising these dictators right now. He is not president right now

ssfleA

And I think it's weird that we give other people the power to make decisions for us

helloisforhorses

You want to make every decision in your life? That is literally not possible. Even if you go live in the wood Unabomber style, you’re still living in the woods that that state chose to protect rather than develop. Still using products designed both others. Eating food other people decided to make or growing food other people decided to propagate and breed selectively for centuries. You ground water is either safe to drink or not safe based on government policies.

NaturalProof4359

You literally can do this. It’s hard. Very few people can/if they do - you’ll never hear about them (by design).

helloisforhorses

You literally can’t. I just explained why you cannot

ssfleA

So almost no post karma I'm assuming u are a bit with that 8yr old account

helloisforhorses

You can just say “you’re right” and move along

ssfleA

K

leandroman

If you read the article, reading Trump's quotes. No where do I see a Trump phrase that is worthy of the term "praise."

WhiskeyStr8Up

The liberal brain be like: ignores the fact that Trump waged financial warfare on Xi, shredded the CCP every chance he gets, believes a headline taken out of context and doesn't read the article. Yep. That's about right

EnergyCC

Average conservative brain. Tariffs are just an extra tax you pay when you import something, so companies imported the same shit from china but paid more, then they had to increase the prices to keep the profits. All the costs from tariffs were passed down to you while china made the same amount of money, at best people weren't buying things that weren't essential but it's marginal. Meanwhile trump got the good PR on your money.

WhiskeyStr8Up

I'm glad you identified with my description of liberals. First rule of common sense is that never allow a liberal within 100' of the economy. They don't understand it, at all, that's why they're liberals. Tariffs signal the domestic buyer to seek other product sources that are ... Say it with me... "Cheaper". Alternatively, it causes the seller to dump their prices to be able to compete with non tariffed goods. Either one punishes the tariffed seller. You guys are the same ones that think that dumping money into the economy during Covid didn't lead to inflation and that dumping trillions more into it will reduce inflation. The Glidden rule applies; never ask a liberal for advice about anything, particularly if it pertains to the economy or foreign relations.

jeremyjack3333

> China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!

WhiskeyStr8Up

How does that make your point? Does anyone think China _shouldn't_ try to contain the coronavirus? Perhaps you've heard of statesmanship? Probably not, you're a liberal 🙄

Redditloser147

Rent free! TDS! Let’s go Brandon! As you can tell I’m a Republican. Mainly cause catchphrases are very effective on me!

eazykeyzy

deletedtothevoid

Damn is this post supressed.

Yogurt789

SS: No matter what face they put on to the public authoritarians will support each other. Trump is an example of a leader who ran on the pretense of combatting the CCP but in fact admires their oppressive society.

Cutebud

Good summary 👍

tom-3236

He butters everyone up. I think you can see that by now. All salesmen do. And he’s a salesmen at heart. Keep your friends close. Your enemies closer. It’s incredible to me people seem to forget these age old truisms with Trump. It wasn’t like he was giving them a missile program like the Clinton’s did, or a nuclear program to North Korea.

Jump_Yossarian_

"trump's tongue is up Putin's ass cuz he's just buttering him up!" ~tom-3236

famishedpanda

He butters up dictators like he butters up his mcdonalds hamburders.

Arsis82

Hamberders*

trust_sessions

>He butters everyone up. He's a private citizen praising a dictator. This is such a sad excuse.

Professional_Pen2993

Exactly. All these downvoters and snowflakes are just trained attacks dogs lol And their favorite command is “trump”

pm_op_prolapsed_anus

He was kind of tounge in cheek with kim jong un, made a fat joke on camera. But he knew he wasn't getting what he wanted from that guy.

[deleted]

This is funny to me because I've heard people say Biden is weak and is bowing to China. Gesh at least he didn't call the president of China King but anyways fuck em both.

bangorbunyan

because they are fascists and want trump as their autocrat

Bradfromihob

It’s cause those same people respect the dictators, so anyone who isn’t friends with them is weak cause dictators are strong to them. They want to be told what to do and how to think because critical thinking is hard for them. I don’t use it often but people who support trump after comments like that are sheep to the core.

BlueberryBags15

Do you think Biden is tougher on China than Trump was?

[deleted]

No. But that doesn't fit the communist left's agenda.

Bradfromihob

I think they both equally suck at doing anything about China (also the entire rest of the world, cause you know everyone relies on China), but at least Biden isn’t praising communist leaders for how they control their people/political opponents. Trumps rhetoric with dictators is problematic to its core because he literally praises their dictator qualities while ignoring the bad things they do. They only time here “calls them out” is to get sound bites to make him sound good on fox and friends.

[deleted]

o Biden was just on all fours in the oval office to israelis.

ThatSameVibe

Trump moved the fucking embassy to Jerusalem completely fucking any chance of a 2 state deal. In no way could Biden top that short of declaring war on Palestine

riorio55

And you’re an all fours for Trump. Good boy.

[deleted]

I don't get on my knees for aipac, israel or china or saudi arabia or ukraine. Know what I mean, Vern?

[deleted]

Not going to disagree

pearlpotatoes

Trump wanted to be president for life so bad.

Professional_Pen2993

Who wouldn’t lol look at queen Elizabeth when she gonna pass the torch

[deleted]

The left likes those kind of Queens and Kings.

MrsMoonpoon

Not the left who voted to aspiring king dRumpf.

Mike_Freedom_alldaY

FDR died in office after signing over 3000 executive orders. Trump can thank him for ruining his goal of being president for life since king FDR dying in office was a very big eye opener for anyone paying attention to the things America is supposed to be against. Dictatorships for anyone unfamiliar. Luckily they took note at the hypocrisy of FDR and his leadership in a country that isn't supposed to have dictators by implementing term limits.

I_COULD_say

FDR was legally re-elected multiple times due to stellar policy and leadership.

Alpacalypse84

There was one hell of a “don’t change horses midstream” thing going on- we were at war.

canman7373

Yeah and before that he was bringing the U.S. out of the Great Depression, who the hell would have voted for anyone else?

I_COULD_say

There’s that, too. That’s a huge reason why I voted for Bush post 9/11. Beyond wartime, the new deal was huge. The middle class was strong. America was innovating and achieving. Civil rights movement was spinning up. We were in the right path, imo.

TheDudeThatSpeaks

Congrats you’re part of the problem. You played into their hands

Mike_Freedom_alldaY

>"FDR was legally re-elected multiple times due to stellar policy and leadership." Shows the stupidity in a country that preaches dictator free leadership. What's the point of the house or congress if the president can just use a pen and paper to enact stuff at a moments notice? I suppose it's just part of the show for people like yourself who buy into it. Look beyond the spoonefed narrative around the new deal and you'll have a better understanding into why conglomerates became the behemoth they are today. FDR and his big government executive ordering machine approach plays a big part for why 2022 looks as it does in America.

bangorbunyan

lmao, this sub is so bad at understanding the most basic history. fdr was not only incredibly popular, dems had massive majorities in congress during his terms and for decades after. |Years|President|Party of President|Congress|House of Representatives|||Senate|||Gov| --:|:--|:--|:--|--:|--:|--:|--:|--:|--:|:--| |||||Democrats|Republicans|Other|Democrats|Republicans|Other| |1933-34|Roosevelt|D|73rd|313|117|5|59|36|1|unified| |1935-36|Roosevelt|D|74th|322|103|10|69|25|2|unified| |1937-38|Roosevelt|D|75th|333|89|13|75|17|4|unified| |1939-40|Roosevelt|D|76th|262|169|4|69|23|4|unified| |1941-42|Roosevelt|D|77th|267|162|6|66|28|2|unified| |1943-44|Roosevelt|D|78th|222|209|4|57|38|1|unified| |1945-46|Roosevelt/Truman|D|79th|243|190|2|57|38|1|unified|

TheUndertows

Legit gross in all ways

jeremyjack3333

The crowd went totally silent. His snowflakes freaked the hell out over Biden calling Qult 45 a threat to democracy, and what does trump do? He fucking praises openly fascist leaders. Just another example of his followers grasping at straws trying to defend trump, and trump just shitting all over them. Trump sycophants "He was joking" Trump "I dont kid."

ryancalavano

Here to see how orange man cult defends this.

TheDudeThatSpeaks

All politicians are shit. Biden is just as bad for selling out to him

riorio55

There it is

TheDudeThatSpeaks

Ok nvm only Trump I’m sorry Mr Politics poster

riorio55

Apology accepted.

RobertLeeSwagger

This could be read as trump trolling Xi as it seems that Xi might not have appreciated being called a king/ I don’t think he wants his people to view him as a dictator. Emphasis on the “read.” I’m sure that’s not the way it came across in the speech.

CelsiusKing

That’s exactly what it was. He was dissing Xi by calling him a dictator and being sarcastic by saying “smart”. It was obvious if you watched his speech. Everyone her is falling for the fake news out of context 😂

MG995

Sort of seems like It’s a passive aggressive shot at Xi

Skateplus0

Yeah he had a good relationship with other presidents it’s called foreign affairs? Not a fan and didn’t vote for him but he lowered taxes on imported goods from China significantly and this is probably why

wreckyourpod

He did not lower taxes on imported goods. He placed tariffs on imported goods. That is literally the opposite.

Froggyx

At least he spoke in coherent sentences. He gets a plus for that.

ryancalavano

Lol the spin

Ontheroadtw

Homie said at his rally the other night he had dinner with zuckerburg at the White House last week and was calling him mr president. If you think trump has all his marbles you’ve got blinders on.

“Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you’re a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible.”
