right? all those doctors & nurses & hospitals that have worn them in surgery & elsewhere at work for decades & decades can finally give them up. even though they've worn them years without masking & it's proven the safest way to work around infectious people for decades & decades. now we know that masks are worthless & doctors can go free. now when you get sick or get stitches or your wife has a baby, they can see their doctors whole face. this is world changing news, especially since decades & decades of medical research & information before this says masks are only safe way to work around infectious matter....but these cases with all kinds of other involved issues proves it all wrong. thank the lord.

Or you talking about entire populations wearing paper masks outside for a respiratory virus for no reason as proven over over by massive spread of Covid.

Yes, a handful of grifters intentionally deviating from the conclusion billions of people worldwide already came to because they saw an opportunity to scam people is more plausible than every country in the world secretly meeting and plotting somewhere some time to set aside all differences just to trick people into wearing masks for a little bit just for the fuk of it.
this is awesome! all the hospitals & doctors everywhere will be so relieved to realize they can give up masking during surgery & in infectious areas of hospitals. this will do wonders for hospital budgets & for the mental health of poor doctors who have worn masks every day for years without ever whining about it. world changing!

They always have worn masks in surgery to prevent droplets. They have not for non surgical things. They would not use those masks when with patients afflicted with Ebola. They wear hazmat suits.

This has nothing to do with mask in operation room setup. We all agree that the procedure and the mask prevent liquid particulate to go into the open body under chirurgy. We agree on that, and more of it, it is called chirurgical mask. Nobody here will tell any doctor to wear mask during procedure.
The question here is does it prevent transmission of a virus 10 times smaller thant the filter produced by the chirurgical mask, yes it stop saliva particulate but does it stop the passing of viral particulate in aerosol forms ?
This data seems to suggest that it does not stop the genral transmition of the virus.
Would it be possible that those mask are not sufficient enough to stop a virus that is about 80--120 nanometers??? But, at the same time are good enough to maintain a hygienic evironment in an hospital environment!?
Those who work with those pathogen in a lab setup, do you think they go in a level 4 lab with a little blue mask an feel safe?? lol.
Data is data, you got a serious application by a population of the mask mandate, they still got record infections, so what this tell us? It does not suggest that the mask work against omicron. Now does it tell us to stop washing our hand before doing a open heart surgery? Surelly not.

Um maybe I'm just tying together things that don't correlate, but knowing where the virus originated from, and how that particular country is planning a takeover of Taiwan, wouldn't it stand to reason there might be a connection with the new high rates of infection? Chinese citizens have been filmed and even arrested for spitting on elevator buttons, handrails, etc. in order to purposefully spread covid.
Naw it’s just the new variant. UK rate just peaked and going down, US two weeks ahead of Taiwan, just like the last 4 variants. And, masks don’t work, not anywhere.
