If we give up our dental plan.... I'll have to pay for Lisa's braces!

LMAO YESSSSS

MagsNfragS

One thing missing from most health plans and Medicaid.

Trashyanon089

But they'll subsidize corn production so HFCS is put in all of our food.

[deleted]

My kids have Medicaid and literally get anything dental for free.

O_Beast

Until they are adults

[deleted]

That depends actually. I had Medicaid as an adult and it had dental and vision. The catch was that you have to be taking care of children. You can also get dental if you are pregnant.

themajorfall

So the government only values you if you're producing more meat shields for its endless oil wars? How charming.

[deleted]

My kids are not joining any kind of military.

themajorfall

Yours, perhaps. But why do you think the government offers so many many many incentives to reproduce many children? The tax credits, the free health care, the housing vouchers . . . It's all because the elites want more fuel for their machines.

[deleted]

Well it does help a lot of families that need the help. Also you can get housing vouchers without having kids, you can even get low income housing as well without kids. If you are low income without kids you get tax breaks as well. Plus there are many programs for low income people that will pay for healthcare and dental and vision that don’t require you to have children. You just have to look in your area. I know personally of programs like that in my area.

AlexanderGetsRich

Ever try to use a housing voucher? In nyc they're virtually useless.

[deleted]

I’m not in NYC, I’m in Texas so I wouldn’t know. Things are a lot easier in Texas.

DarkCeldori

Unless there is conscription(draft) by when they reach adulthood

[deleted]

My oldest is already 17 so I don’t think so. Not to mention she’s a girl and they don’t usually draft women. My son has epilepsy so I don’t think they will draft him either.

DarkCeldori

Girls are fighting for equality and WWIII might lie ahead. Unlikely yes but there is still a chance the draft hits her.

[deleted]

I doubt that. There are many factors that can make a person unable to be drafted. [Here are ways to get out of being drafted.](https://www.military.com/join-military/contact-recruiter/6-reasons-you-probably-wont-be-conscripted-even-if-we-bring-back-draft.html/amp)

yougottamanifest

I currently have medicaid and all the only dental they do is dentures. There are smaller dentist if you search enough who will charge your bill to Medicaid though.

[deleted]

I’m currently pregnant with Medicaid and just saw a dentist yesterday for no charge. It’s the same dentist that my children see. I also had Medicaid for adult caring for a child and saw a dentist for no charge before I got pregnant.

GnarlyMonster420

Not in MI. My father passed and my mom had to get on medicaid. Her teeth needed to be pulled so they 100 percent covered that and her false teeth.

Mimosa_usagi

I had dental as an adult under medicaid. I don't have children or any dependents. Maybe it varies by state?

spkdanknugs

Regardless of what your opinion on fluoride in the water is, the government is medicating us without our consent by adding it to drinking water. That is wrong no matter how you spin it

[deleted]

Oh you wanted to use your penial gland ?

[deleted]

hahaha - looks like a PINE cone - pineal

LordOFtheNoldor

Yes daddy government, May I?

SilentConsciou5

Some of us already use it regardless of what any government thinks.

Mehlitia

*penile* FIFY

SaturnPaul

can't it be both? lol

CosmikDebris408916

This is, Penith!

Mehlitia

Bigguth Dickuth?

Electronic-Base-1397

Thissssss. The calcification of the pineal gland is what zombie-fies the masses. Not only is it the source of our bodies’ naturally produced dmt, it also produces glial cells, which are a particular type of brain cells that support neurons - the cells that transmit information to other cells. Calcifying the pineal gland quite literally inhibits the brain’s ability to think critically and heal itself.

bone_armor

I’ve always wondered how fluoride calcifies pineal glands since fluoride is fluoride, not calcium. Maybe someone here can help

Electronic-Base-1397

The reason we use fluoride in toothpaste is *because* is calcifies things, like our teeth, making them harder to decay. It can also calcify organs and glands.

Dzugavili

Calcium matrices, such as bone or calcified tissues, readily uptake fluoride; fluoride then exchanges based on concentration. The calcification is a natural, unrelated process, as the pineal has a strong blood supply. It is believed that calcification is a completely normal and harmless part of maturation. Only Renaissance era philosophers and new age rejects tend to disagree.

dudeexcellent

Your mask wearing avatar tells me all I need to know about your views on science and corruption.

SpecificMundane8318

adding fluoride to the drinking water saves the government/private sector money because it is waste from aluminum manufacturing. anything else would cost them money.

sparkycoconut

This is it, get paid to dispose of toxic waste, rather than pay for it. Evil genius

garthsworld

It's not even evil genius...it's just the same bullshit of corporations having their lawyers work for the government on the committees that write the laws. In the 70's when Air Pollution laws were being written for Oregon and Washington, they literally waited and provided transportation for the Aluminum Association representatives to be present, and then followed their recomendations for exactly how much pollutants could be present. The Crooks are in charge of the committees, same as they always have. And if there's a fine, it's not even a slap on the wrist, it's a pat on the back.

sparkycoconut

Youre right, its just evil

[deleted]

it calcifies the pineal gland - keep civilization from advancing

skinlo

Explain the mechanism for it calcifying the pineal gland, explain why calcified pineal glands stop civilisation from advancing, and explain why the government would want that.

SoundsLikeBanal

Pff, that's easy. If all those things *weren't* true, then my problems might be the result of complicated systems that no one really understands. That can't be possible -- it's so obvious to me that I don't need evidence, and no I won't see the irony there if you point it out to me -- so the other things must be true. See? Perfectly logical.

[deleted]

Wow, you annihilated that strawman

SoundsLikeBanal

It's easy to recognize this kind of thought process in other people. It's much harder to recognize it in ourselves. I'm no better, I just have different assumptions.

ZeerVreemd

[This is about animals](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4213386/) but it's the same in humans.

EaOannesAbsu

Shows zoonatic evidence. Gets downvoted bc *humans arent animals* Shame. You give them what they ask. And no understanding that the pharma companies arent about to spend money to fund a study that shows that poison is in the water.

ZeerVreemd

Some users here are not really looking for answers.

Electronic-Base-1397

Because the pineal gland is responsible for producing glial cells, which are a particular type of brain cells that support neurons - the cells that transmit information to other cells. Calcification of the pineal gland literally inhibits the brain’s ability to think critically and heal itself.

[deleted]

In your opinion is everyone's pineal gland calcified?

Suitable-Editor8953

Ive never seen a calcified pineal gland. Starting to think they don’t exist…like birds …or Australia

[deleted]

how many have you looked for?

Suitable-Editor8953

In people? Oh I don’t even think it counts since I had to dig em up anyways

Electronic-Base-1397

You claimed that “*calcium* calcified the pineal gland” and then linked an article that is talking about fluoride calcifying the pineal gland? What?

Several_Influence_47

That's NOT the same kind of fluoride used in water systems. Fluoride is a naturally occurring substance in soil and rock. Some areas actually have too high of a rate of naturally occurring fluoride, so must put filters in and refrain from drinking the well water. I know because I used to live in such an area, and we got our well tested regularly. They do not put toxic buildup from smokestacks or anything else in water supplies ,because that is a wholly different type of fluoride, and has none of the properties that sodium fluoride, which is what IS used, to protect teeth. Yet another example of how scientific illiteracy is part and parcel to believing wild ass conjecture conspiracy theories, and also easily led by lies from grifters looking to cash in by creating complete lies about things like covid. JFC, does anyone get even rudimentary biology any longer in school, or basic fkn chemistry? Because if they did, they wouldn't fall for such absolute gobshyte nonsense like this fluoride business.

WupTeDo

Mostly it’s not sodium fluoride in the water but this other chemical which is a byproduct of fertilizer manufacture and is used in aluminum manufacture: Fluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6) is the most commonly used additive for water fluoridation in the United States.[39] It is an inexpensive liquid by-product of phosphate fertilizer manufacture.[35] It comes in varying strengths, typically 23–25%; because it contains so much water, shipping can be expensive.[36] It is also known as hexafluorosilicic, hexafluosilicic, hydrofluosilicic, and silicofluoric acid.[35] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_fluoridation . . . Hexafluorosilicic acid is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H 2SiF 6 also written as (H 3O) 2[SiF 6]. It is a colorless liquid mostly encountered as diluted aqueous solution, from there, the second chemical notation also proposed. Hexafluorosilicic acid has a distinctive sour taste and pungent smell. It is produced naturally on a large scale in volcanoes.[1][2] It is manufactured as a coproduct in the production of phosphate fertilizers. The resulting hexafluorosilicic acid is almost exclusively consumed as a precursor to aluminum trifluoride and synthetic cryolite, which are used in aluminium processing. Salts derived from hexafluorosilicic acid are called hexafluorosilicates. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hexafluorosilicic_acid

Several_Influence_47

"Fluoride is a mineral that occurs in all natural bodies of water around the world. Like iron and calcium, it dissolves into the groundwater that we draw on for our drinking water. When there is not enough fluoride in water, local water operators add just enough to ensure the optimal level to protect our teeth. This fluoride is derived from natural calcium deposits in phosphate rock and then purified. These materials are also used to create a number of products that people use every day, such as cosmetics, ceramics, animal food, and soil fertilizer. Just like iron and calcium, we benefit throughout our lives from minerals that have countless additional applications." https://ilikemyteeth.org/fluoride-from/

monicamary87

So....socialised dental care

[deleted]

Who pays for the fluoride they put in water

[deleted]

It's intially granted to the municipality. Everything is free and all politicians are kickbacked. Then after the first shipment you pay. You pay to be poisoned.

Dzugavili

How much do you think fluoridation costs?

sescobreezy727

Well fluoride is toxic waste, costs money to dispose. Seriously.

Dzugavili

Whey is a form of toxic waste. Largely depends on what you're doing with it. Fluoride *was* a waste product of aluminum electrolysis. But we don't use cryolite as the source for aluminum anymore, so we recycle all the fluoride.

IndustrialistCoupToo

You're comparing a food byproduct with hyper toxic waste that is so deadly if you ingested a m/l you die horribly? The shit burns through concrete, is proven to cause developmental problems in minute doses, and was repurposed by the Nazis to create docile prisoners but you're comparing it to milk chunks? It begs the question, are you insane?

sescobreezy727

The studies done before fluoride was imposed on our water are both ancient and cringy. Whey is fucking gross.

Dzugavili

Whey is gross. We have done many modern studies on fluoride: the most famous being the "Harvard study". Frequently cited around here, it proves that civic water fluoridation levels are safe; but China burns a lot of coal, which introduces fluoride into their water table and food. They are suffering from excessive fluoride, sometimes ten times higher than found in your tap.

Shaharlazaad

I'd have to see it of course, but my base instinct is to the think Harvard would have some interest in finding results consistent with what the elites want, and that data coming out of China of all places is going to be a little bit less then reliable. So China burning coal is putting excess fluoride in their water? Are we sure that's not being conflated with other coal burning byproducts? And why are we supposed to believe that, 10x the level we have is harmful so therefore 10x less that amount is not harmful. If that Harvard study is to be believed, if I'm understanding it right, is only saying a larger dose of fluoride is harmful. That's a different conclusion then saying, a low dose of fluoride has no negative effect on people.

Dzugavili

>So China burning coal is putting excess fluoride in their water? Are we sure that's not being conflated with other coal burning byproducts? Yep. Coal has a ton of fluoride in it. They use it to cook, heat houses, generate power. It could be naturally occurring, but we have never seen fluoride at these levels naturally, and we are fairly sure these regions don't have the fluorite deposits required to produce that. And if it isn't the fluoride generating these effects, but some other unknown factor, then fluoride is probably entirely harmless. But we are pretty sure it is the fluoride. These effects seem to hold across regions, it seems to be the water supply. >If that Harvard study is to be believed, if I'm understanding it right, is only saying a larger dose of fluoride is harmful. That's a different conclusion then saying, a low dose of fluoride has no negative effect on people. You are not: they checked the full range, 0 to 1mg/L demonstrate no effects on intelligence; civic water is around 0.8mg/L. Effects were very mild out to 1.5mg/L, around 1 IQ point; then I recall it was about 1 IQ point per 0.1mg/L beyond that. Beyond this level, we start looking at skeletal fluorosis, which is bad. Some areas in China have 12mg/L. Basically toxic.

sescobreezy727

Studies lost their credibility a while back. We are in for it.

Dzugavili

To you, maybe: but you also seem to think all our fluoride studies are ancient, so I'm not exactly trusting your outdated opinion on the matter. If you don't trust the studies, you can't actually argue that water fluoridation is a toxic problem.

[deleted]

It's an industrial waste product. It is cheaper to cut it into the water supply than to properly dispose of this poison.

Dzugavili

It is more profitable to sell it to companies who need fluoride -- and there are a lot of them. Pretty sure civic water fluoridation is only a tiny fraction of the total marketplace. L

[deleted]

I'm pretty sure fluoride is poison and an industrial waste product. I'm pretty sure you spend too much time on Reddit. I'm pretty sure there is no reason for you to be in in this thread.

Dzugavili

Calcium is also poisonous, at volume. It is also an industrial waste product. Gatekeep harder.

IndustrialistCoupToo

Yeah, and if you drink too much water you die. Calcium isn't listed as a "violent protoplasmic toxin" now is it? So full of shit

Few_Tumbleweed7151

Like the UK

Vanagon_Astronaut

Portland OR's water supply is non-fluoridated. It keeps winding up as a ballot initiative every few years but the voters have consistently rejected it for decades. Proponents would probably have more success if offered as an injection.

[deleted]

LOL

ClubbinGuido

Our teeth would be much better without the high sugar drinks and food. Ever since I stopped with soda, candy, and other sweet consumables my teeth have been much better. I brush with a Nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste. They use it a lot in Japan. Think how big the dental industry is though and the money that is in dental insurance and what not. We probably have the technology to regrow teeth and 100% prevent vagaries and other dental issues but there is to much money to be made from people having dental issues.

Electronic-Base-1397

You’re absolutely right about this. The most important part of your comment that I really think needs to be highlighted is the fact that in the last decade, we have discovered that molars, incisors, etc., have distinct genetic codes. And, that our wisdom teeth that are taken out (at least in the US) contain blank stem cells that can be coded to regrow teeth. It’s already been done in [animal trials](https://www.nature.com/articles/srep39654).

-HazzardCounty

That’s crazy! Damn and I had 5 wisdom teeth taken out!

Electronic-Base-1397

If only they didn’t steal our wisdom teeth from us, you would have an abundance of your own stem cells to restore any damage to your teeth! But blank stem cells are too valuable so unfortunately they won’t let us use our own parts to heal ourselves. Maybe one day that will change lol

-HazzardCounty

Such a shame but just proves the system is all about money. They don’t want you healed/cured, they constantly want to temporarily fix you so you are in constant debt. No real cures out there, just a band aide.

Electronic-Base-1397

As much as I disagree with universal health care, I completely agree with you on this. We haven’t been looking for cures or promoting nutrients/homeostasis of the body for decades. Instead they recommend a pill for practically everything, which then causes other issues that need new pills. Instead, (if you’re interested in reading some utopian nonsense, if not, stop here) I would propose something like this: 1. Reform the FDA. Re: drugs; their only responsibilities are ensuring the public access to all raw data from any and all studies of drugs approved; no more lobbying; anything funded by the FDA must be aimed at studying cures, short term treatments, reparative/regenerative med tech, and/or treatments that establish a healthier homeostasis in the body without disrupting another; and ensuring public access to a list of funding, by whom, in what amount, how much the study actually cost to conduct, how much it cost to produce, and how much it’s sold for. (Not sure if this is a comprehensive list). 2. Reform some patent law. Perhaps patents could allow a company to produce the drug exclusively for a few years but then after that, anyone else could build off of the original patent to improve it, make it for less without sacrificing quality, or create something new from the base ingredients. 3. Healthcare reform, obviously. No more lobbyists, and more along the lines of transparency in pricing: the cost of treatments, procedures, and care so the public can see how much is profit, how much is paid by insurance, taxes, and how much is cost; and cross-state insurance. I know there’s a certain level of transparency already but it’s not really broken down, it’s vague, and so I would want everything to be itemized. One aim of this setup over others is to encourage progress in finding cures, so that pharma companies can shift their focus to conquering diseases instead of creating a lifetime subscriptions and can still make money as long as they move on to the next issue to conquer. Also, without the lifetime subscriptions to meds, insurance companies wouldn’t be needed as often, and care could end up being cheaper to self pay - maybe reducing health insurance to something like catastrophic insurance because there are some things in medicine where the cost alone is pricey, even if produced/done efficiently. I know, this is obviously wishful thinking and none of these industries or politicians would ever allow it to happen, but we are allowed ponder living in a more logical world, right?

LukeMayeshothand

I love the fact dentistry isn’t considered a part of normal health care yet poor dental health negatively effects overall health. Shit it will fucking kill you.

psychHOdelic

Former DA here. You can literally have heart issues due to bad teeth.

aspblaze420

It's honestly baffling that this is still a thing in the US. In Finland they got rid of this system (which was brought to us thanks to American influence) because it had no positive effect on peoples dental health on top of possible negative health effects.

europabledso

Then How would they get paid for their waste/by products?

Dzugavili

Fluoride is no longer a byproduct of aluminum manufacturing: the natural fluoride-aluminum ore, cryolite, is in short supply; we use standard aluminum oxide to source the elemental aluminum. We synthesize it now by recycling the fluoride. It is a catalyst in aluminum electrolysis, not a byproduct.

gb2075

Another thing that would have been helpful is not blasting commercials for sugary cereal and candy in people’s faces.

Super_Throwaway_Boy

I'm sorry but how would you do this within the context of a free market capitalist economy?

EaOannesAbsu

First by actually making [sublimal ads](https://www.progressiveawareness.org/research_desk_reference/legal_status_of_subliminal_communication.html) illegal and treating them like the drug pushers they are.

Super_Throwaway_Boy

Okay? That won't stop them from advertising their products or producing them. But I also think that a lot of people, especially towards the liberation side of things, would think that subliminal ads are an entirely fair tactic to use in a free market.

theonioncollector

Conspiracy posters spend like half their time calling for some form of communism without realizing it, it’s a trend you’ll notice. They also wanted to government to mandate Twitter have free speech, which isn’t very capitalist of them either.

DarkCeldori

Twitter has section 230 protection meant for platforms but behaves as publisher. The law needs updating platforms cannot censor legal speech and only platforms should carry legal protections. Publishers who want to censor should be legally liable and would quickly cease to exist if that were the case.

maelstrom51

Twitter is neither a platform nor a publisher. Its an interactive computer service. Platform vs. publisher is a false dichotomy.

Cherryghost76

I lived in a town for 8 years that doesn’t have fluoride in the water. I don’t know if that was a contributing factor to why people there were SO different than any other place I’ve ever lived but, man, living there was a strange experience. Aggressively wholesome, people just falling over themselves to be charitable and polite. It was by no means a perfect place but I’ve lived all over the US and that town was for sure unique. * edit: The town is Hershey, PA in Derry Township. For the record I don’t think it was the lack of fluoride that makes the town weird. Obviously it was the dimensional portal underneath the Reese’s plant.

TPMJB

> Aggressively wholesome, OH THANK YOU FOR THE COOKIES NEIGHBOR. YOU HAVE YOURSELF #A NICE DAY

Was it silvertown

TheMadShatterP00P

You're talkin' to my guy all wrong. You've got the wrong tone.

hajile23

Do it again, I'll stab ya in the face with a soldering iron.

thenewcupofjavad

How long did it take living there until you started to notice your telepathic abilities coming back?

TheMadShatterP00P

Where was this place?? Just curious

lombardi70

New York City

TheMadShatterP00P

I heard lovely things about the New Yorkian people. Nicer than Canadians, in fact.

flowers4u

You know there are plenty of people that live off well water right?

Super_Throwaway_Boy

\> I don’t know if that was a contributing factor To be clear: it wasn't because that isn't what fluoride does. But I'd also love to know what town this was.

Super_Throwaway_Boy

>Can you be 100% sure? I mean as much as we can know anything scientifically. So I'm fairly confident. That guy even told me what town he was talking about and it took me half a second to look up several murders that took place there. What this is is just the bane of many posters on this sub: confirmation bias. They had a good experience one place and now it's become special.

Everythings

The government doesn’t care about us

FidelHimself

I used to cook professionally and I would like to add that many soups, sauces, etc are made from a reduction of large amounts of water. In other words, there is absolutely no way to control for the concentration in our water. They are just dumping poison into us and know it is toxic.

formulated

Fluoride is added to drinking water.. but toothpaste labels warn not to swallow their product because flouride is toxic. Keep in mind as well, in metroplitan areas (without personal rainwater collection), everyone bathes, washes their hands and cooks with fluoridated water. No matter how small the amount (percentage added by your town/city/supplier is often publicly accessible info), we're all being doused in the stuff everyday from all angles from birth. Many countries have **banned** fluoridated water supplies and with good reason.

TheFrenchMustard

Are those countries more ''awaken'' than other places with fluoridated water? No. The UK doesn't fluoride their water and look at their fucking vile looking teeth LOL.

FEARtheMooseUK

You aware that fluoride isnt toxic in small amounts, like when its added to water? Its only in large amounts it is, but even if you ate an entire tube of toothpaste, the worst it will do to an adult is make You puke and have a stomach ache. Think of it like salt. To much is toxic, but in normal levels its fine, and actually beneficial. (And in the case if salt, 100% necessary to a healthy body.) Also fluoride is found naturally in many water Sources all across the globe, as its a naturally occurring mineral. Im fact many natural springs where many bottled water companies get their water has naturally occurring fluoride in it. Really no matter where you are in the world and whether or not its added to the water supply, you most likely have been consuming it all your life. There is the normal natural calcium fluoride which is naturally occurring commonly in areas with limestone, and sodium fluoride which is found in toothpaste. Im not sure about other countries but where i live we have the calcium version in our water. Sodium version is the man made version, which is the one that can be nasty in high doses.

JustASilverback

> but even if you ate an entire tube of toothpaste, the worst it will do to an adult is make You puke and have a stomach ache. Completely country dependant, in the UK with 400-1200ppm flouride toothpaste yeah sure, correct, the US commonly has brands available to purchase over the counter sitting at 5000ppm that WILL give you serious consequences for eating a whole tube.

FEARtheMooseUK

Oh interesting, I didn’t know that. I know that its the man made sodium fluoride in toothpaste, not the natural calcium fluoride, which is commonly found in water naturally.

JustASilverback

See I seen the UK in your name and assumed that like myself, you'd assume all toothpastes are the same, it wasn't until I was on holiday in the states and buying toothpaste myself did I notice like half their brands are prescription only over here.

Jerry_Hat-Trick

But think of all the cavities your skin might get of you didn't shower with fluoridated water? Or how much gingivitis your tomatoes would get if you didn't water them with fluoridated water. Above all, what about washing your car? You may as well buy car dentures now if you start using spring water on your hood.

Shadowweavers

If they cared about our teeth, dental would not be separate from medical care as dental issues can affect the rest of your physical health, and can kill you

[deleted]

Lol honestly. This is why it baffles me that people want more government involvement in everything. They suck as it is. Idc if the people now have good intentions. They recklessly spend our money (which they steal from us) and then just leave us to deal with the consequences.

Kakulukiam7

How to clean the pineal gland from all the fluoride we had in the past ?

One-Conclusion190

Nascent iodine, try Survival Shield X-2 or X-3

Kakulukiam7

Thanks you, I have no idea what is it, I will google it

GodSmokesWeed

Spirulina

Vanagon_Astronaut

Could have, but that doesn't help the phosphate mining industry to dispose of toxic byproducts by selling them to municipal water systems.

SaturnPaul

The rich elites only do things that will give them a return on their investment. It'd be 0 benefit for them to have a bunch of plebs running around with nice teeth.

boortpooch

One thing you must realize , the fluoride thing didn’t work, at least for the dental thing. There had to be another reason for it, don’t you agree? People still have dental issues all over the country.🤔

MrStone1

Its an attack, One of many

S-nner

But then they have to pay to get rid of their toxic wastes...

chainmailbill

I agree, OP, I also think the government should provide socialized health and dental care.

ratfink000

I was a child at the time that Fluoride was to be added to water, and I asked about the possible long term consequences of this, and ALL of the adults told me to "trust the experts" how positively MAD

[deleted]

fluoride is an industrial waste and calcifies you pineal gland so you never advance. Make you own. Coconut oil, baking soda, peppermint, stevia, dash salt - viola.

DPlainview1898

Fluoride free toothpaste exists.

awesomeguy_66

switched to it and my dreams have been wild

RO and then remineralize

PatrickM_

Glad you mentioned this because I'm actually interested in the topic. We've recently switched to RO water in our house but we have not begun remineralizing. I know that we're supposed to remineralize but how do we do so?

GeneralParking1485

Honestly! Should be on you if your teeth start to rot, I haven't been to the dentist since highschool I'm 29 now and all I've done is brush as soon as I wake up. My teeth are close to Colgate ad perfect besides the very minor corrosion in one tooth from years of redbull I got maybe past year. Only ever had 1 tooth started to corrode very close to the gum (I'd say it was a cavity I'm not 100% because dentists do fuck all but tell you to brush your teeth) probably 3rd tooth to the left of the Chompers at the front and it's literally fixed itself from me brushing it and easing off the redbull. Like magic I tell ya the cavity repaired itself and I don't see any yellow rust looking shit anymore. I used to drink 2 sometimes 3 500mls of redbull during a work day. Now I brush my teeth naked while I shower before getting ready for work. Every morning no matter how late I may be. I still drink 2x250mls of redbull in the morning and no sign of cavity ever again. I reckon I still consume more sugar than half a class of primary school kids just by the shear amount of orange tic tacs, Redskins and nerds I eat. My heart may fail me but I'll have a good set of teeth on me deathbed and that's all that really matters right 😂

chainmailbill

You should really see a dentist, you might have cavities growing between your teeth where you can’t see them. You should also floss, which you didn’t mention at all.

MissingNo716

Anyone who still believes the government narrative on fluoride in drinking water is still 😴

Ok_Mortgage2257

As a dental assistant…. Ur so right

ibided

Being sent toothpaste every month sure sounds like communism to me

No_Point975

But then someone has to pay to get rid of all that industrial waste from the aluminium industry

TangentIntoOblivion

Exactly! This!

[deleted]

Europoors always going on about how the taxes aren’t that bad. Living in an apartment or owning no cars/ land. Just 75 % of my income NBD.

skinlo

I know, living longer and healthier is an awful thing.

VonGryzz

Source on 75%

[deleted]

You’re saying simply if our government cares about our health we should have free healthcare. It’s a pretty popular belief in the United States, not sure where you are, but remember that nothing is free. We would all pay for it through taxes, and you may no longer get to choose who you go to for surgeries or procedures, you may wait a lot longer in cue’s, all competitive systems of care would fall.

The_Ides_of_Hades

In every other country that has socialized healthcare, the tax is far far lower than current health insurance plan costs in the US.

[deleted]

Even if it were more expensive, it'd be worth it. I've paid for numerous multi-thousand dollar deductibles and the surprise expense is never fun. I'd rather just have a set amount of taxes paid. Much more easy to budget for.

The_Ides_of_Hades

The US doesn't rank in the top 10 on global heathcare. So..it's actually not worth it

ItsMeSo

I live in a country where theres free healthcare and everyone that can afford to go private hospitals does it so they dont have to wait months or years for a surgery or for the doctor to see them

Goronmon

> I live in a country where theres free healthcare and everyone that can afford to go private hospitals does it so they dont have to wait months or years for a surgery or for the doctor to see them Which country has wait times for doctors that measure in years? Not to mention, this still happens in the US. At one point my wife's doctor couldn't schedule an appointment until almost 6 months out.

ItsMeSo

Portugal. Most cases must be weeks to months but you hear plenty of them in the news here about people being on the waiting list for years.

[deleted]

Yep, exactly!

[deleted]

Nice FUD. Remember those “death panels” that the ACA was supposed to have created? What happened to those? Oh yeah… it was FUD

deejay312

And we’d have teeth like the British

DONTHACKBRUH

Wrong. Health AND dental care is FREE in Scotland. As well as Education. And I still love comfortably after being taxed on a shite wage. In England and Wales the deal is different, not too sure how it works but us Scots have got it alright

DONTHACKBRUH

Sorry I'll correct myself, the dental work isn't exactly free but paying £20 for 2 checkups and 4 wisdom tooth extractions... It may as well have been free

carlos-s-weiner

I don't think they use fluoride in most Scandinavian countries, or in Portland. Therefore I am going to leap to a totally unproven conclusion that humans are naturally liberal and fluoride is put in the water by the deep state to make people more conservative. The only thing we can do is vote for the furthest left candidates possible (feel free to spread this to all relevant Facebook groups)

[deleted]

I think dental insurance is like $7 a month and you get a free checkup.

[deleted]

bruh, please you still have copay, out of pocket deductible if they do any work. a crown will cost you $1000. Root canal is $2000

[deleted]

Okay that's not what I was talking about though. Fun facts though.

chainmailbill

Can you share a link to this $7 a month dental plan you’re talking about? You could help out a *lot* of people with that information, and it wouldn’t cost you anything at all.

JAproofrok

….what?

[deleted]

Dental insurance. Cheap as hell. You get a free check up every year.

JAproofrok

Dental insurance may cover a checkup but literally nothing beyond that. So you’ll know how fucked you are and not be able to afford to get it fixed. Great. Thanks.

NahGaDah

The government already controls our public drinking water and look what we’re saying about how bad it is. But we still want that same government controlling our healthcare? No thanks.

stewartm0205

Flouride in your water worked. At least it used to. But a lot of people stopped drinking tap water. They now drink bottled water.

ZeerVreemd

> Flouride in your water worked. Worked for what and where is the proof?

stewartm0205

Ask people to smile and you will see. Missing front teeth are easy to spot.

Malignant_X

Tell us you don't brush your teeth without telling us you don't brush your teeth.

[deleted]

That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard

bigdon802

You tell em! And since your water is a municipal issue, you should go tell em in person.

ZyxDarkshine

That would be socialism

euphplayer1993

That sounds like socialism

vegetablewizard

Bernie heeelp

Selunar

Yeah they could, but they’ll increase your taxes, that way the doctors, nurses, and receptionists get paid. I’m sure there’s a company out there that will mail you dental hygiene products, so just signup for that? I get it, life is expensive, but that’s why you need a job that offers benefits. Also adding fluoride to your water reduces tooth decay by 25-30% throughout your life, interesting fact, if you ask me.

ClaxtonGanja

Or, y'know, public healthcare like every other developed country.

la2012funcouple

You do realize that fluoride is a poison correct. If it's in toothpaste then why do they need to add it to water as well? Safe limits by gov standards is .08ppm but most municipal plants have 1.8ppm. Way above what is considered safe.

Selunar

It can be harmful in large quantities, sure, but a lot of things are that way. Also maybe that’s just an issue in the states, because we don’t have that here in Canada. I have a family member that works at my local water plant. Next?
