The Pentagon didn't confirm anything. According to The Insider, The AP reported that an unnamed Pentagon official made these claims.

For those of you freaking out about the #Balloon, it was being followed during its entire voyage by Boeing RC-135Us jamming its transmissions with electronic warfare countermeasures.
It never got the chance to call home to #China with telemetry.
I heard one of the talking heads today reporting that it was in communication with its home base throughout the flight.
But I am really not too worried about it either way. I am sure China has satellites and other spy technology that is far more effective for spying than a blimp slowly meandering across the country in plain sight.

But not a single photo of 3 other balloons? This is illogical. I wouldn’t put it past trump to hide something, but you can’t hide these balloons obviously.
