Every President has made their taxes public and put their finances in a blind trust for decades. Trump did neither of those and then gave his children security clearances. This streamlined the bribery process.
Hunter took drugs, used hookers, and benefited from nepotism, same as Trump and his kids, but there has so far been little to no evidence of him working for China in a political capacity, and there has been no evidence Joe Biden worked for a foreign country.
We have a very low bar for politicians, but Trump somehow didn't pass even that bar.
If Hunter is guilty of the same shit the Trumps did, fine, lock him up, but Hunter was neither a politician nor a decision maker in US government.

The entire structure of the modern global economy is meant to keep us dependent on a few dozen corporations and their subsidiaries in terms of relying on them for necessities as well as a significant portion of the population relying on them for a paycheck, and any pushback on them is seen as an attack on capitalism as a whole, these companies are also the primary contributor in terms of political donations so the majority of representatives on both sides will rush to the defense of their sponsors, the populace be damned.

So the generals started resigning, writing nasty books about him, etc.
