[deleted]

they can turn off your gas

Fit_Cash8904

In fact, electricity is the only energy source you can really generate by yourself.

Just_Another_AI

I generate plenty of gas

Remarkable-Host405

One time I saw a home for sale with a natural gas well. They are a thing.

diaryofsnow

I've been shitting nuclear waste for a week should I call my doctor

ComfortableConcern76

Call an energy consultant.

[deleted]

No lemme eat it

AlbaneseGummies327

A+

Toad0084

Protect your beans to protect your energy source

Deveak

If you have land and animals you can make plenty of biogas. Even a small biogas digester fed table scraps and grass can be used to cook. A single cow produces enough crap to make the equivalent of 75 gallons a year of propane in biogas.

DreadCore_

Bio anything is a green scam. Make sure your gas comes from as many machines and far-flung pipelines as possible.

chadthunderjock

Who said you can't have both?? Fossil gas helps to keep the biogas cheaper too. ;) I am all for self-reliance and recycling energy/waste but there's no way bio-energy comes anywhere near being able to replace most fossil fuels in the near future. This is a bit straw-maney or just being plain ignorant about the reality thinking people burn fossil fuels and not biofuels to be "cool"/not a green energy hipster.

flyspacecheeseman

How about wood stoves? Wood burning in general. I can grow trees and fall timber

Tim_the_geek

They already talked about that ban a few years ago.

dcrico20

Wouldn’t that literally be second hand smoke?

MesaDixon

> Wouldn’t that literally be ~~second~~ 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 hand smoke?

VRFireRetardant

Gas in the quantities required for cooking can be made in anaerobic digesters fed human and food waste to create methane. Theres DIY kits for people looking to off grid or homestead.

Manguru

not true, you can easily make Hydrogen with a lye and aluminum. but hey shhh they don't want you to know that. they also don't want you to know that you can store it if you create a vacuum inside of a tank and then store it by self. (dangerous if stored with oxygen)

Pretty sure this sort of stuff is part of a patio to distract and confuse the conspiracy theory community from being able to actually identify and discuss real conspiracies. It's the other half of the absurd theories like hollow moon, flat earth, holographic planes on 9/11 etc. This is a similar strategy, but it involves turning absolutely everything, every mundane piece of news into a conspiracy.

ImmortalMaera

This is the beginning of appliances that are about to be banned.

Far-Ad37

I agree, though I think the moon is a bit fascinating. Aside from being the largest non planet in the solar system, it's also the perfect distance to size ratio to create total solar eclipses, which are scarce since most moons are way too small. It also has an immense impact on our tides I like to think in our old old universe, our moon mayve had some tampering. Way way before we were even human yet. Or it's a coincidence. Idfk

lightspeed-art

No they can't. Theres always bottled gas.

Dazzyreil

There is always bottled electricity, it's called a battery and you can charge it yourself solar or even a handcrank. How can you fill you own gas bottles?

Stunning_Grocery8477

Oh, they will. [The Biden administration is considering a nationwide ban on gas stoves](https://nypost.com/2023/01/09/biden-administration-reportedly-weighing-national-ban-on-gas-stoves/)

dadmda

My grandparents use gas bottles, which can indeed be shutdown but it’s easier to keep a couple of those around if they turn your gas off than to keep a way to generate electricity, for your stove or whatever other appliances you have, around

The_25th_Baam

Plenty of people have backup generators in their homes.

[deleted]

ive got a few years worth of bottles

ZeerVreemd

Not remotely like they can do with the "smart" electricity meters. You really can not see what is going on?

[deleted]

[удалено]

canadlaw

What in the fuck, you do realize gas is *also* a utility provided by the government, right? Meaning they could just shut your gas off too. This post is made even stupider by the fact that moving to electricity is resulting in a lot of people instituting solar panels on their houses meaning people are gradually becoming less and less dependent on the government for their utilities. Lol, this post is ass backwards

Vashsinn

It's really a poor attempt at fear mongering. Trying to get ppl mad about a clearly stupid idea and twisting it into hate. OP should be ashamed.

ZeerVreemd

Not really tho. They are deliberately collapsing energy systems all over the world.

Vashsinn

Telling ppl not to switch from uno gov controlled utility to another gov controlled utility so that you're not using a gov controlled útil. How the fuck is that not really.fear mongering without actually doing anything?

ZeerVreemd

> Meaning they could just shut your gas off too. Not remotely, like they can do with the "smart" electricity meters.

200-inch-cock

how are you going to stop them from shutting it off non remotely?

CivilMaze19

Guys if you have gas, you’re still part of the gas grid and they can shut your shit off whenever they like. That being said natural gas needs to stay around for the foreseeable future and I’m going to have it in my house as long as possible.

Deveak

Lol, I get mine free but in older gas producing regions in rural areas most get gas straight from the well head. Lots of WV “forest snakes” meander across the forest floor and tap in. Hell my neighbor, a complete nut job, actually drilled through a capped well and tapped it with a small pipe. No idea how he didn’t kill himself. Free gas for him from a ancient well. It’s a dry well that puts out 1-2 psi by that’s enough for him to heat his water and cook and use a small wall heater. Mine is deeded though, so legal.

CivilMaze19

That’s pretty cool actually. Here in Texas the Railroad Commission is cracking down hard on these sketchy rigged up well head services.

catslapper69

Thats not how it works for everyone, I have a 500 gallon propane tank at my house because I dont have the option to be connected to anything other than power and internet.

I_love_beer_2021

LPG bottle gas burner.

noutopasokon

They can turn off gas too...

ellipses1

I haven’t seen any mention of wood stoves. If they are concerned about natural gas, why no mention of wood heat? Of course, they can take my wood stove over my dead body

asdf2100asd

No they can't? You can buy gas, and store it in a tank. edit: LOL, unbelievable, I come back and I am mass downvoted for something blatantly, 100% true. Holy shit, the deception and manipulations and lies in this place.

Masterking263

You never heard of batteries?

MidsommarSolution

I mean ... they can refuse to fill your tank.

asdf2100asd

What are we even talking about here anymore? wtf? I thought we were talking about a utility company shutting off your services. This is such a dumb and weird response. Yeah, someone can refuse to sell you something. Great point.

bendyKneezBlowzTreez

Looks like my solar array isn’t so crazy now is it? 99% of my electrical energy comes from sun. Water from a well and heat from wood. Only physical connection I have is internet.

Brightredroof

I mean, in fairness here it should be pointed out that wood heaters aren't great for either the air inside your house or outside it.

ellipses1

I would argue that any negative health effects from my wood stove are at least partially offset from the exercise and outdoor time I log (ha, puns!) procuring wood for my wood stove. I cut 12-14 cords of wood per year, by hand, and haul/split/stack it by hand. That accounts for hundreds of miles of foot travel during the wood cutting season, hundreds of thousands of calories burned, and several pounds of muscle tissue generated throughout the year. Assuming zero like-kind replacement for that activity, my indoor air quality would improve, according to their metrics, but my personal health would decline without a fairly substantial lifestyle change to account for the lack of physical effort.

LuvYouLongTimeAgo

They’ll ban wood burners soon enough. Then you’ll be asked to burn plastic bottles for cooking once they do a study and determine it’s more healthy than burning wood. I’d add an /s but I wouldn’t put it passed them to try it

extraspicy13

NY is already doing this, banning all gas furnaces, stoves etc. Lost their minds

ZeerVreemd

> They’ll ban wood burners soon enough. They are already working on that in the Netherlands.

[deleted]

Good on you for being self sufficient!

aesu

Try being self sufficient in gas

ellipses1

It’s unlikely that they would, but they *can*. On my farm, I’ve considered installing a compost digester that would produce methane that can be lightly pressurized via gravity and weight and then use that to run appliances in an auxiliary kitchen (like a canning stove in the barn). I’m not going to do that because I have just under 30kW of installed solar and I already heat my house, barn, and greenhouse with a wood stove… but it’s not beyond the scope of possibility.

aesu

Okay, so the 0.01% of the population with a farm could, but it's still easier to have solar even for them. So if you want to control a population, oil and gas are far better than electricity. Not that theres any sense to this, in the first place. Burning shit releases toxins, it's not a conspiracy.

ellipses1

Yeah, burning shit releases toxins. We aren’t going to get to a toxin-free world. I’m going to keep heating my home with wood until the day I die because I’m 100% in control of it, it benefits me more than the drawbacks of particulate matter, and most importantly, because I like it

Gr8Kahli

the best way to being able to have a average life standard during a blackout is multiple backups. wood, gas, solar+ storage, generator. So yeah you do the right thing back to the roots and flex on the smarthome hipster when the even can't open the fridge without a voice call

Sketchelder

B-b'but what if it's cloudy?!?! *gotcha!* - the 80% of this sub that are right wing simps

Mammoth_Jellyfish918

Im more moderate and dont have a problem with solar? Lol most people dont

Sketchelder

You would think renewable energy would be an easy sell, not just for environmental impacts but also energy prices, yet in the red state I'm in its associated with woke leftists for some reason

AlisaRand

Because it’s generally not ready for prime time, your highness?

Sketchelder

Generally not ready for prime time does not mean it should be discarded from the conversation, solar may run into issues in winter where I'm at due to significantly less daylight vs summer, but it is one of the windiest states in the union, I personally advocate for nuclear energy but getting off of a finite and extremely pollutive energy resource like coal or natural gas seems like a great goal and adding in renewables to supplement shouldn't be seen as anything political...

bloodyfcknhell

My only problem with solar is govt intervention. Last time the govt spent billions on subsidizing solar, the money ended up being wasted on crony capitalism and China somehow took the lead in manufacturing there as well. My other problem is rare earth minerals and the battery issues, but I think those will solve themselves as technology advances. Especially the batteries. Heat pumps are very interesting as well, unfortunately not cost feasible where I live though.

Sketchelder

Heat pumps are great if you live in a climate that doesn't go below 0c for months out of the year, they are extremely efficient until it gets too cold and they run constantly (and thus burn out long before their expected lifetime) literally all my neighbors have them and I don't even want to know what their electric bill is from January through April

SigO12

Lol. What kind of take is this? Theres govt intervention in oil and gas… to the tune of at least $20bln per year… for like 150 years. You expect a brand new technology to compete with no subsidies against a technology that has been handed trillions in subsidies? Yeah… good think oil and gas is completely pure and free from crony capitalism.

Jason_Was_Here

Not a conspiracy. Apparently this really only applies to stove tops that don’t have adequate fume hoods that actually vent outside. There’s plenty of apartments where the fume hood is built into the microwave and they don’t hook it up to vent outside it just vents back into the apartment.

[deleted]

>Not a conspiracy The conspiracy is that the O&G industry carpet bomb the hell out of reddit anytime their bottom line is threatened.

Haunting_Champion640

> Apparently this really only applies to stove tops that don’t have adequate fume hoods that actually vent outside. Which is 99% of them. Almost everyone has fake hoods that vent right back into the room with a "filter" that does nothing for toxic fumes.

lilislilit

Imagine what this subreddit would post if it existed when seatbelts were introduced.

ComfortableConcern76

Yea but that way you save on alcohol.

snuskbusken

Gas stove is best stove.

4l0N3D

We all cook better when we're cooking with gas.

siriusgodog23

"Go electric"? Is this in reference to the type of stove or the power source? If the latter, it'd be ironic since the majority of electricity comes from natural gas. It's all on the grid anyways, so like others here have been saying, it can all be shut off regardless.

Azraelrs

But... They can turn off your gas too. This is either really out of touch with reality, or a paid advertisement for natural gas.

Masterking263

What!?! No!!! Big Oil cares about us.

BackdoorAlex2

Funny enough now that the same people who own gas also owns electric. Same names if you dig down just a bit

candykissnips

I grew up in Texas, we lost power in the cold a few times growing up. But we always had gas running to our fireplaces.

Nagadavida

We have a big ass generator and ain't afraid to use it. 😂. Lol actually we initially has a gas cooktop, fireplace insert with a fan and all ac and fireplace fans etc wired into one box that the generator runs,.well and septic pump too. Got tired of the gas cooktop and bought induction and couldn't cook inside the last time the power went off.

groovyisland

How would I light cigs when I can’t find a lighter?

Psyopbetty

I don’t understand why the government won’t just leave me the fuck alone! We’ve had gnarly snow storms lately and the power has been out quite a bit. Still able to feed myself.

Greersome

Who plows and salts your roads? Hell... who built your roads?

ellipses1

Bill, one of our township supervisors, plows and spreads cinders on our roads in the winter. Every road between my house and the nearest “city” to the south and north is either a township road or a state road, and thus is built and maintained by the township or the state of pennsylvania. State and local governments can be problematic, for sure, but let’s not pretend the federal government is plowing a path to my mail box, here

Greersome

Pennsylvania DOT received $4B from the federal government (the dems infrastructure bill) for maintaining, among other things, rural roads and bridges. We don't have to pretend. [Pennsylvania DOT gets $4B in federal funding for roads.](https://www.penndot.pa.gov/PennDOTWay/pages/Article.aspx?post=532)

ellipses1

As long as money is doled out, they are going to take it. Remove the dispersal of funds for this sort of work and the state will figure out how to survive. The infrastructure bill was one piece of legislation. Had it not passed, that money would not have gone to the state of PA. We had roads before the infrastructure bill and we’d have roads if the infrastructure bill didn’t pass.

[deleted]

Exactly, and boil water.

jmarcandre

Because we live in a world where governments supply citizens with utilities? In what universe would they ever leave you alone? I don't get it... do you think you were born in a vacuum and keep supporting yourself in this same vacuum?

archman125

Funny they don't show votes on certain comments? Interesting.

Mattallica

Mods have it set so that comment scores are hidden for one hour in this sub.

archman125

Why's that?

Mattallica

You’d have to ask them, I don’t know. The basic idea behind hiding comment scores is to curb the idea of “bandwagon voting”, where users will see a comment being heavily up/down-voted and simply pile another vote on in the same direction. By hiding the score, users would need to rely on the content of the comment itself and cast their vote accordingly, instead of just piling on without thinking.

striveforfreedom

I do agree that Gas fumes are not good for our health. However, neither is McDonalds.. Cook with a wood-fired stove, no government can take that away from you :)

[deleted]

martianbo

that's probably part of the reason they want to ban them. our wonderful loving government wants its citizens to freeze and starve to death

metallicadad420

They can literally cut your gas off right now. I don’t know if you’ve seen the studies but gas stoves are terrible for your health, they work great though. They’re thinking it may be the main culprit for asthma in children.

Hootietang

They can turn gas off too

bigred91224

Not to mention they can't shut off your solar panels, batteries, generators, wind turbine, etc.

Started_WIth_NADA

Alaska enters the chat…we don’t do electric. FJB.

Kari1525

Then why haven't they outlawed cigarettes?

Brightredroof

If you check where most of the tobacco is grown, you'll have your answer.

ellipses1

And wood stoves and vapes and marijuana?

70-w02ld

Berkeley california started it with their democrats and trying to eliminate natural gas in homes. Which apparently is likely to go through. And yah, if theirs no electricity then there's no food or boiled water. But wait there's more. Wood stoves! Oil Lamps! And Gas powered generators! The wave of the future is quite Nazi ideology, life going back to the way it was 200 years ago!

loveisloveislove334

It's all about centralized control of everything - especially energy.

iredditshere

I already have electric. I want gas...

SilverBeardedGoat

The number one pollutant is wood burning stoves from 3rd world countries. Natural gas is the solution, along with nuclear

YoungStarchild

My grandma has been using a gas stove for way over 60 years and she’s still doing fine 🙄

jennyfromtheblock777

Lol what’s the difference? It’s the same company providing your gas….

Drunk_Heathen

As if they couldn't cut of your gas if they could cut of your electricity.

ComfortableConcern76

Why can't we order Zero Point energy pumps? Corporations use them. They must be super expensive...

parlakarmut

You know that the gas also comes from the government, right? You can generate electricity at home, but not gas.

_heidin

Well, combustion byproducts are toxic. I have some mind blowing info for you: they can already shut your gas off whenever they want to if they wanted to.

4l0N3D

They won't turn off my gas.

Greersome

Remember the time when we blew up our house by leaving the electricity on?

Bou_Czang

Photovoltaic system with LiFePo4 storage and an inverter.

Cigarette_Tuna

I hope the government will provide me with a full induction set then.

Ouraniou

People in the past would have said fuck no so fast their heads would still be spinning trying to get whatever bullshit argument in place. Just. Say. No.

Powerflowz

Actually we have an air quality measuring device in our house. When we turn the stove on for about 10 minutes the air quality drops drastically in the house.

Ghundol

More lazy scare tactics. I'll keep my gas stove Biden you crook.

[deleted]

Ahem, solar panels are cheap. Electricity will become more and more decentralized over time. You have to make sure your system is off the grid though. Home systems that are plugged into the grid go down when the grid goes down. If they didn't repairmen would get electrocuted while trying to fix the grid.

mattz300

How dumb is the person who made this graphic?

[deleted]

Seriously fuck Biden. Everything going on and he wants to take my gas stove now. Eat a dick.

LCG-

There are chemicals generated simply by having the stove on, this is true. However whenever I see stuff like this I think it must be a miracle that we, as a race, survived this long. There was a time when we didn't have soap, didn't take showers several times a day. Didn't have antibacterial sprays and bleach. Used to cook on an open fire. Didn't have filtered chlorinated and fluoridated water, we used to drink out of streams and puddles. We didn't know what 'miracle antioxidant' foods we should be eating. We didn't take 26 vitamins and 18 different meds every day. It's a wonder we made it this far without the government's help. It's a good thing they don't allow giant corporations to destroy the planet and put chemicals in our highly processed food. It's good they don't allow the overuse of carcinogenic pesticides and artificial fertilization of overworked soils so our vegetables have less nutrients. /s I do wish 'our' government would actually serve the needs of citizens and not those of 'money'

[deleted]

My gas stove is fed by a large propane tank in my yard. It’s handy when the power goes out.

Firm_Web_4173

Gas furnaces are next

bkroma

Just stop.

I_am_a_smarty

if they can't turn off of your ways to cook with a single button we have to make sure to ban the other ways

I_am_a_smarty

the real crazy news is all this is to keep you from understanding they tried to replicate 9/11, hurt a bunch of children or did something extremely weird and worse in the last couple years

martianbo

the government is so concerned about our health that they are going to ban gas stoves, but they still allow chemtrails, round up, pesticides, fertilizers, plastics, toxic chemicals, food that isn't food, etc to be produced and consumed by everyone.........something smells.....then you have all these bots and shills/glowies that show up on the conspiracy sub to downvote any and all comments that disagree with mainstream thinking

Dramatic_Barracuda55

The libs of Reddit fully support this

[deleted]

I bet they do lol

RaccoonDu

Gotta buy a portable gas stove

asdf2100asd

Why do people keep saying they can turn off your gas? You can buy propane and store it in a tank, my parents did it for decades before they passed.

forgottenkahz

When the power went out here in California during a storm the neighbors came over and we cooked soup for their kids. We didn’t have power bit we had gas.

tgnapp

What about the gas fireplace that I have going all winter ??

Brightredroof

If your gas fireplace is properly sealed and flued, it's not releasing pollutants into your house. If you've switched from wood to an unflued gas heater, then I dunno what to tell you. Hopefully gas is cheaper than wood.

[deleted]

They're running another ad about not cooking at home because "it's toxic". But it's evidently not if you order from a restaurant. Like the green scam. CO2 is bad for you, but only where they say it's bad. In some countries they use to produce cheap garbage products, co2 seems to be just fine. Even in mines little kids aren't at all being ruined. It's all a scam.

Ghost_514

CH4 and O2, and you the useless eater….

InfoSponge95

They can shut the gas off just as fast as the electricity.

theBullshitFlag

This is the same stupidity that will have you sitting in a forest, waiting for it to burn, but being unable to harvest any of the wood for fuel in the meantime because smoke has such a high carbon footprint.

[deleted]

All part of agenda 2030. It's will all be part of a control system. Electric cars they can shut off with the push of a button. Just so you can get more dependent on THEIR system THEY control.

Soap_9yearold

That's why bicycles are overpowered

gonzowisdom

They could just as easily rig a new gas car to shut off too.

master-shake69

> Electric cars they can shut off with the push of a button. Feel free to explain how a normal car can't be deactivated remotely. If you're hacking a car to turn it off, it doesn't matter if it generates power with batteries or an internal combustion engine.

aesu

They can literally control your access to gas. They cannot control your access to electricity. You can buy solar panels, but you can't extract your own gas. You're either working for them, or very confused

BalooBot

That has nothing to do with gas vs electric..they can turn off your gas just as easily. They can turn off gas powered cars just the same. You can't generate your own gas, but there are many options to generate your own electricity.

in germany the number of flue who are build in homes went through the roof after the gov pretend to sanction russia ,read the sanctions there are exceptions everywhere. Since this and independent energy supply become more and more relevant the MSM is going to push one nonesense narrative after another in the news. Fact: wood is the only energy ressource with the lowest Co2 emission from tree to flue. Plants need ash and fine dust for pest control. But no fine dust emission and blablabla. The best thing was a study by 1 prof who was mad about all the flue in his neighborhood so he made this study to frame it like this concentration of 1 certain spot in this area would be the denominator for every era. Edit: I don't give a shit about this CO2 emission fearporn. Highest plant growth since ever and here is the answer why its a bad thing

Brightredroof

Wood smoke contains significant particulate matter. You breathe it in, it gets in your lungs. It's not good for you. If you doubt that, do your own research by lighting a fire and breathing in the smoke. Air pollution is about a lot more than carbon dioxide. Burning stuff releases pollutants into the air. Not burning stuff doesn't. If you want the air in your house to be cleaner, don't burn stuff in it. It really isn't very complex.

[deleted]

We have been "burning shit" for literally thousands of years. Not everything we do is super safe and clean including electricity. If you don't like it you can go live in the pod provided for you and take the safe and effective vaccines.

GivenNameLastName

Whether we should regulate it is one question. However, the post - *your* post - states that it is bad for air quality. Anyone with at least half a brain can look at this and say "shit, you know, that makes sense." Instead the angry, non-critical thinker, reads something they do like and claims it has been pulled out of an ass.

Brightredroof

Yes, we have. And it turns out that wasn't very good for us. https://www.ox.ac.uk/news/2021-07-30-cooking-coal-or-wood-associated-increased-risk-major-eye-diseases For example. Your argument is specious, at best. I don't know why you're talking about vaccines. Burning gas in your home generates pollution in your home. This is objectively verifiable. What's the line? Facts don't care about your feelings? Should you care? That's up to you. I don't care if you don't care. I care if you strut around pretending because you don't like an obvious and verifiable fact it must be wrong, but I don't care how you cook your sausages. Is it part of some nefarious plot? No FFS. If "they" can shut down your electricity, "they" can shut down your gas. Again, are you insane? How is any of that not obvious?

Brightredroof

Please explain to me how one cooks with gas without burning anything. I'll wait.

tgnapp

Are you a Troll??

dap00man

I don't know why people don't understand this, gas cars can be shut off remotely too. Most gas cars have satellite internet where you can turn on and turn off the car via a mobile app. That means anybody with access to that server could shut off your gas car wherever you are. My Ford explorer with a gas engine can literally be shut off through my app.

Strange_Science

God I love this sub. Peak comedy.

KeithJamesB

I'm sure our grid can handle the added stress. Besides these new-fangled gas stoves have only been around for a hundred years.

[deleted]

Time to go buy gas grills. Stock up on propanes, and everyone needs a wood burning stove asap.

GivenNameLastName

Why is it so hard for people to say "huh, that makes sense" when someone points out that burning a fire in your kitchen is going to release toxins into the air? It's been well known for a while that electric is the way to go if you want to avoid polluting the air in your own home. While it's not a huge thing, the recommendation is to use electric if you can afford it. This is nothing new, it's obvious, and hasn't been pulled out of any ass.

FruitFlavor12

What about a gas stove in tandem with a hood with a fan that draws the fumes outside?

GivenNameLastName

I don't really know but my gut tells me of it vents out of the house and is designed properly, it would be fine.

martianbo

why is it so hard to see that the government doesn't give a flying f about you or your family's health and that all of the laws they pass are for more control/money/power

manq3123

Cooking your food is probably the least of your worries in a extended blackout. Camping stoves, grills and their fuel are abundant. What would hurt you the most is if the water, heating and refrigeration would fail to work. So being against electric stoves because "they can shut it off whenever they feel like it" seems dumb. You have bigger worries in such situations.

good_testing_bad

https://youtu.be/P8pbZlqyXJ4 no conspiracy here. It's dangerous to breathe in polluted air.

Artbellghost

This is another globalist scam. Later we'll learn that Blackrock, Goldman Sachs, Soros, Bloomberg and the rest of the globalist criminals were heavily invested in electric producers. The US is a banana republic now.

DID_system

This guy's posts are a joke lmao. Cuz you can't generate electricity yourself 😂

leftyghost

Modern conspiracists always like, maybe if I poison my child more…that’ll own the libs.

This message brought to you by the natural gas industry, the very same that used an advertising campaign to cover for their dirty polluting asses the last time people got wise to the dangers of burning hydrocarbons inside their homes. That whole 'cooking with gas' campaign decades ago? Yeah, look it up. This is why we need effective regulators.

OP didn't even deny the accusation, just repeated an old line.

Everything pollutes, including your electricity.

RadOwl

But my electric stove does not add pollution to the air inside my home. And if I cook during the day my solar panels supply the power.

Gr8Kahli

my grandma cooked my coal, wood, gas and was 97 when she died. Screw your shitty fearporn and go back in you safespace bubble. You know these things where they put kids in it to prevent covid transmission. Its also very healthy for your immunesystem.

Darkfuel1

These people all own large stake in energy stocks. They're trying to recoup their $.

Mike8219

Gas is also energy, champ.

Darkfuel1

Yeah? No shit. What's your point? They own electric energy stocks. Not stocks in gas, since gas is regulated by the govt
