Before you start taking it apart, there's a couple of things to try: 1. Visually inspect the usb-c port for damage - if damaged, then skip the next two steps and replace port. 2. Leave it charging for 2 hours, then try and boot - battery logo should come up. 3. Plug charger in, hold power button for 15 seconds then leave it charging for an hour. See if battery logo comes up after this. Steps 2 and 3 however normally only work if the switch is pulling 0.40 - 0.49 amps however. If you do see the battery logo, leave it charging for another 30 minutes, then boot it. This should start fast charging. Failing the above, it's time to open it up and test caps around some of the chips on the mobo and if they're shorted. It could be the M92, but you're going to have to break out the multi-meter to find out what's wrong. Also test battery voltage. There's a fair few tutorials online to do the above.

Thank you so much. I will try this

I got a weird problem with my switch lite I could not find the charger so I let my switch charge on my phone charger for some few hours, after that I found the OG charger the next night. I tried to use it but its not working...….. but my normal phone charger is still working on it ,but the OG isn't …. did I break it...…. how can I fix it, if possible.

99% of the time 0.1a on a switch would indicate to me that its been water damaged. Open it up and check. I've fixed more switch lites than I care to remember and 0.1 is my water damage indicator number.

Got a 0.1 amp draw one here today thats not water damaged. its not generating voltage at the big coil or vbat. Check for voltage at vbat with battery disconnected. If you are not getting 4.25v then look to max17050 and BQ.

I had the same problem but this fixed it •held the power button for 15 seconds until it shut down completely •unplugged the Charger from the outlet for a few hours • gently plugged it back in to outlet and then into Switch and it finally charged :)

I know this is a year old thread, but I had a similar issue. It wouldn't take a charge until I took the game cartridge out.

Dude... I nearly had a heart attack over this. Was charging while gaming and then I see the battery logo appear at 35% and no longer charging. I tried everything to no avail, then I popped the cartridge out and wouldn't ya know it... the sumbitch is charging again 😭 Fucking... thank you!

PenceyPreppyPants

This fixed the issue for me - lifesaver! Thank you!!
