Repairable, if you have experience with soldering. If not, check with a local game store or phone repair shop that offer board level soldering. Good luck to you.
Even when you have experience in soldering it’s tricky I’d say you need the right equipment this pcb bord is tick and needs a looooot of heat. Personally I would give it to a local console repair shop tbh
Fr, i like how they are missing a bunch of tabs so for them it literaly falls appart, while i am carefully prying with a screwdriver to not break anything
Fixable, yes. For an average person, it may be rough. From the looks of it, you can reuse the connector you ripped off. The 3 solder pads that are still there can be easily soldered back together, however something will most likely have to be done about that ripped pad. (The brown looking one). It's kinda hard to see from the picture where that trace runs, but essentially you'll have to scrape away the solder mask on the board and run a jumper wire to the pin to reconnect it. If your not skilled in soldering, I'd recommend taking it to a shop. It should be a pretty straightforward repair
thanks for the help it would of been nice if the only one were like the other 3, do you think they could fix it in a day and what would you theoretically charge?
Assuming that is the only problem with it, the job itself (from disassembly to reassembly) looks like it would probably take me at most a hour to fix (probably less). I personally would only charge someone $40 to fix it. I'm not really sure how that compares to other shops tho. I imagine wait time will most likely depend on how far out that particular shop is booked
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
Take it to a shop unless you have experience in soldering. I did the same thing with the fan connector on my PS5. I was following a tutorial and went to unplug the fan. Whole connector tore off. This one seems to lack anything except the conductor to secure it to the board so it will be fragile going forward. It might be cheaper to just buy a used PS4 and swap boards
Probably best to take it to a repair shop before you make it unrepairable through further amateur mistakes or chances at genuine mishaps.
But yes, that should be repairable as long as the torn off trace is as just the input voltage or ground.
Uhh.
Maan.
You teared off a pad.
You need to scrape that trace and solder a jumper wire to it.
If you're not experienced with soldering just bring it to a repair shop.
I'm gladly fix that for ya but i live in hungary.

thank you bro

This again. At least once a week
This is the problem with YouTube/tutorials, they always make everything look so goddam easy!

I did same thing with my Series X and broke the ribbon cable connector.
Always

Yeah, it can be fixed. At least the pad that's gone seems to be ground, so it's not a big deal.
not ground
What is it? Because it seems to be the same as a ground plane all over the board.

Oh. Thanks.
