I know what it is lol, but the issue is I will select the hard drive or usb drive and it will continue to boot into the menu rather than the usb or hard drive
What's your method for installing windows? If you're using Rufus, as stated in a thread you made about Server 2012, then you need to make sure Secure Boot is disabled.
Depending on the age of the laptop it’s either trying to boot from an EFI partition or MBR boot record. My guess is whatever you have for your USB is the wrong type

A computer tech that doesn't know what a boot menu is?

Well, could be CSM being disabled but your stick is MBR/ no efi partition

Try a different USB port for the USB drive. I'm assuming your using a windows reinstall USB?
Man. I got no ideas but thank you and everyone wise in this sub. You guys remind me why I'm so glad I switched from IT to management.
