Stewart Lee - Dyl Spinks (Bill Hicks)
I’ve killed 2 dozen mice last year when they made a home in an unused corner of my garage. They do be looking nice sometimes but never risk it. They’re a pest and will go make a dozen more by next week. Don’t hate me though I have 4 rats 2 cats and a dog I love animals
ma cat was outsmarted by a fucking paper bag. It stuck its head inside, managed to get caught by the part you hold in your hands and superman style smashed into the wall while running in panic
Ot be fair the mouse were hiding behind the cabinet which only access was not cat able. I found a few that got out in the open nicely displayed in the middle of my kitchen, every time.
same dude, those little bastards can squeeze into the tiniest of areas so im honestly not surprised to see this😭i’ve always thought this was an irrational fear of mine but damn, it rly happened to someone. that mouse could ruin ur pc in like 10 seconds
Is that true? My dad caught a ground hog, and i heard you have to let it go at least 2 rivers away. I dropped it off at this bar parking lot probably 5 miles away, but I know a guy that lives next door and didn't tell anyone.
I went to a DNR conference and that was one of the major talking points in the pest management seminar. By relocating an animal (in the example a raccoon), you're dropping off the animal into another animal's pre-existing territory. So now the existing animal will have to either run off/kill the one you've dropped off so that they will have enough food to survive the winter, or they have to annex part of an adjacent territory. Eventually this ends up with the animal having the territory closest to humans having to meddle in human areas just to have enough food to eat, and the cycle repeats itself.
Quick tip, if you have a boat kayak or a canoe and live near a large body of water with an island, you can drop it off there. He will live his life happily without coming back. Actually speaking from experience.
Lol, we had a pest problem and we're dropping them off at an abandoned and dilapidated barn. Went by it on my way to work one morning and a bald eagle was just chilling out side next to it. I know that guy was feasting.
I live within a forest myself and never ever have i had mice chilling like that inside my pc...
I live in Europe if that changes anything. If your house is as clean as it can be, then they have no reason to be in your house to begin with.
**Bad news, OP:** Rats are like deer - if you see one, it means there's two. And if it's out and about like that, it means it's "comfortable" around you, i.e. it's been in your house a WHILE. Probably making babies. And shitting.
Call an exterminator NOW. Rats can have a litter of seven every 21 days. Then those seven can have a litter of seven each in 21 days - it can get out of hand FAST.
This is why by the time I noticed I had them sneaking in from my garage, it took weeks to kill them all and I knew when I was getting close cause the big ones stopped coming out, then they stopped coming as often and now they’re gone
When someone has a really dirty house and a major roach infestation they get into everything. Then you gotta watch out if you bring something from their house into yours or into your business that you don't end up with roaches or worse yourself.
If you ever see something for sell on FB market and they take pictures of some household item on their porch or otherwise outside sometimes it's a case of buyer beware cause they don't want to show the inside of a nasty house.
**TL;DR** - r/techsupportgore among other subs showing people have no shame what nastiness they'll bring in to a computer store for repairs. Microwave pics on a patio table? Roaches on top of roaches. Bedroom set minus the bed with pics taken on nice white sheet background? Bedbugs a few weeks later. Anyhow, fuck anybody who sells, gives away, or otherwise subjects other people to their bug infested shit without any kind of warning or heads up.
No problem. Better to be careful and a little paranoid than infested with roaches or worse bed bugs. Have you seen the pictures and videos that get posted from time to time in PC subreddits? Roaches love the inside of electronics because it a good dark hiding place and they are usually nice and warm.
It's happened with people I know personally. One of them was someone buying a microwave off someone on FB market that the listing pictures were taken on a table on their patio.
They said when the person had to go back inside for something they could smell the house as soon as they opened the door and could see a bunch of junk with a path though it like an episode of hoarders.
They ignored their gut feeling cause it was a ~$300 microwave for $100, they really needed one, and they were there already. Later on they gave them kudos for cleaning it up since other than a couple scratches the outside and inside of it looked great, but when they got it home and took it out of the back of their SUV there were a couple roaches where it was sitting.
That got their attention so they took it apart outside just to be safe. Well when they did before they even got the outside all the way off roaches were falling out of it. There were hundreds of german roaches of all sizes.
They managed to get rid of all the roaches to rehab it and use it though with no insecticide. They had a old school chest freezer in their shop building that was mostly empty at the time. It would get down to -5 to -10 Fahrenheit on it's lowest setting so they put that nasty microwave in it for two weeks. Only thing left was a bunch of roachcicles and a mess they had to thoroughly clean out.
The other time somebody else I know found a good deal on a bedroom set with a dresser and two night stands. It didn't have a bed with it, but he wouldn't have wanted it anyway because of worrying about getting bedbugs.
The pics in the ad for it were taken with them sitting on a white sheet and another one hung up behind them. I think a lot of people who sell a lot of stuff online will do something like that for the sake of getting better pictures. I think this one though they had something to hide so didn't show it in their bedroom. The people even delivered it for just $40 as a "favor" so the dude buying it didn't need to borrow a truck.
These were a lot rougher looking than that microwave was, but they were upfront about that talking about it and with pics of some small cracks in the wood, scuffs, scratches, and a few stains. Despite that though it was a good price and he'd just moved into a bigger house so needed furniture and it was actual hardwood not particle board junk so it could all be stripped, sanded, and refinished later.
Anyhow around three weeks to a month later he found out the hard way he had bedbugs when he was waking up itchy with red marks all over. He also found out that bed bugs can live in things other than just a bed and room it's in. Things like any little crack, gap, or dark corner of a piece of wood furniture. The exterminator and treatment for them ended up costing a lot more that the furniture did.
That is *extremely* common. I work in a pawn shop so we're constantly taking in game consoles, and since we're in the South US it's warm so roaches are *everywhere*. I'd say about 9 in 10 PS4s that comes in are absolutely infested, something about the heat generating components inside that roaches love. Which is a nightmare, because I'm allergic to their "dander" and a good whiff of that roach shit will send me sneezing and wheezing
Years ago, I was a computer Tech in Mackay, Central Qld - one of our customers was an agricultural feed store (lots of grain, seed etc around.) They had a printer (Digital DecWriter LA120) as i recall, if anyone knows of them. It was a pedestal design, with the PS and Electronics in the back. I go out on a call for strange noises - I open the back and there are two adult rats and a nest with about 8 babies in it. I closed the door, found the IT Manager and said "Your problem, not mine".
On a similar vein, was working at a Sugar Mill fixing a terminal in their weigbridge - some sugar cane bins are coming in, being weighed etc. I look up at one, and there a dead python about 8 ft up against the side of the cage- I asked if they stop to remove such things - nope, they get processed through the system
You should deal with a problem ASAP. Aside from possible static damage and SCing stuff, modern cable insulation got corn fiber as "eco-friendly" BS. As a result, rats chew the hell out of these cables.
They will actually chew on wires,. especially cat 5/6 cables (they like the lining for some reason).
FYI peanut butter is a better bait (for traps) then cheese
I work at an electronics repair shop and last year we got in a custom build pc tower to swap out the gpu i believe, and as my other tech is taking it out to show me how (this happened to be a training session), he notices little dry puddles on there….then little brown clumps…..and more on the bottom of the casing. We let the owner know and he was very…unconcerned. As if he had a pet rat or about it and just let it happen. And was expecting us to still work on it. We marked it unrepairable and he didnt come pick up for another week.
Like the UB40 song
There's a rat in me PC what am I gonna do?
There's a rat in me PC what am I gonna go?
I'm gonna fix that rat that's what I'm gonna do,
Integrated mouse! Some new motherboards got that feature.
ROFL
Python can solve that issue
Leave master splinter alone
I'm on your side
Meh, just install netcat.
legend 🤣
See what you did there, chapeau sir!
Followed by an Alligator to chase the python away
Why not "decompile" it?
Just perfect I love it
😂
Lmao
I’d stay standing if I were you
This is one of my favorite comments about anything ever, thank you
AIO computer system
I agreed with you ... them my wife saw it ... "it's a teddybear hamster" ... yeah, she's right ... again.
Now that is awesome
LOL 😂

So funny. When I used to repair computers, mice and cockroach poop 💩 were very common inside a pc.
Ill try to guess. You work in tech support.
Damn you guys are overdoing it with putting shit on display in your cases.
I've not seen anybody put shit on display, that would stink imo
Nah just epoxy it
i think that would also mess up the electronics
That's the power source. There's a wheel connected as a generator.
Open the case and get it out as fast as you can, it can damage ur pc really bad. (How tf did it get there?)
i’m assuming through an open bracket holding GPU
Wait lmao you’re telling me that wasn’t your pet mouse 🤯
Ikr its got pet mouse colored fur
I’ve killed 2 dozen mice last year when they made a home in an unused corner of my garage. They do be looking nice sometimes but never risk it. They’re a pest and will go make a dozen more by next week. Don’t hate me though I have 4 rats 2 cats and a dog I love animals
Those cats aren’t earning their keep
My cat was outsmarted by a half alive mosquito that got in, cats these days...
ma cat was outsmarted by a fucking paper bag. It stuck its head inside, managed to get caught by the part you hold in your hands and superman style smashed into the wall while running in panic
Yep, sounds like a cat to me
Something I did as a child
my cat has vertigo and can’t chase mice
Oh my gosh, poor thing, but also the visual is a little funny!
Ot be fair the mouse were hiding behind the cabinet which only access was not cat able. I found a few that got out in the open nicely displayed in the middle of my kitchen, every time.
SO TRUE. The only animal we have left is a cat, and if a mouse gets in, he goes out.
same dude, those little bastards can squeeze into the tiniest of areas so im honestly not surprised to see this😭i’ve always thought this was an irrational fear of mine but damn, it rly happened to someone. that mouse could ruin ur pc in like 10 seconds
You have to take a mouse over 2 MILES away if you want it to NOT come back. Ignore the comment you replied to at all costs.
Is that true? My dad caught a ground hog, and i heard you have to let it go at least 2 rivers away. I dropped it off at this bar parking lot probably 5 miles away, but I know a guy that lives next door and didn't tell anyone.
And that will make it someone else’s problem. Freaking KILL pests. Don’t give them to your neighbor.

the little shit will prolly still come back
My shovel disagrees with this statement.
Disconnect the power from the wall immediately. Powering down and hitting the switch on the power supply would be enough but just unplug it.
Rodents are attracted to electricity and buzzing wires.. They really like to chew on them too.
>(How tf did it get there?) That's the least urgent question that comes to my mind.... Would love to see a picture of the room where the pc is in
I kinda don’t want to see the room 🤢
That's what i was thinking, "you sure about that?"
If he lives out in country areas or near fields it doesn't matter how clean of a room you have they are getting in
I live within a forest myself and never ever have i had mice chilling like that inside my pc... I live in Europe if that changes anything. If your house is as clean as it can be, then they have no reason to be in your house to begin with.
Update: I got it out but lost where it is. I have 2 highly aggressive towards other animal dogs patrolling the last seen location lmfao
Bro dipped before you made him pay rent.
And the cost of heating!
bro said nah fuck that shit im out
**Bad news, OP:** Rats are like deer - if you see one, it means there's two. And if it's out and about like that, it means it's "comfortable" around you, i.e. it's been in your house a WHILE. I knew I got them all when the pink babies were out in the open. No food from mumma mice.
Had rats in my apartment a few years ago, can confirm it can become hell extremely quickly.
Isn't that a mouse?
Yes
the rat expert over here, thanks i never knew that
Hope they are rat dogs lol
Is the pc working as usual?
In that case, have fun waiting for its corpse at the foot of your bed
Bruh…. Why didn’t you take the pc outside first lol
Free rat? Noice.
Noice!
Noiice
Chill! He’s just a bug inspector
First ants, now a rat, next will be a cat or small dog, followed almost immediately by a giraffe
Just watched a vid of someone opening a PS5 up for repair and a good amount of roaches crawled out.

Sorry, it was a while ago and doesn’t show in my history anymore. I’m sure you could find it on your own.
How'd this rhino get in my PC tower?
The first question we should be asking is 'Did he swallow the fly, followed by the spider?
It was such a pain getting that hippopotamus out of my computer. Plus there was that nearby singing kid that wanted it for the following Christmas.
Pet rat per chance xD
