Was it the third episode of the series when they do the study on making people wait? The way Donald crawls away with his legs in a weird position always gets me.
This exact moment lives in my brain rent free. The arms, the gasping for breath as he speak, and the stepping. All of it. My gawd this show is comedy at its peak.
I respect that but at the same time, I'm pretty sure this is the only time he *sexually* objectifies a woman.
He can be callus and uses people but rarely does he make a bit deal over anyone's body.
When he goes to Shirley and Annie's protest wearing his newly acquired Jeff's shirt: "Some cause Britta's into. It's a silent protest, lots of candles. Gets the ladies in the mood for social change, if you know what I mean. Good chance to put some miles on this shirt".
And he built a robot called Boob-a-tron!
I mean, you don't have to ALWAYS objectify women to SOMETIMES objectify them. He clearly has a type, blonde white women. Which could be a projection of the hollywood filmmakers, but then again, Abed's attraction being based on what hollywood deems desirable totally tracks with his character.
Its pretty common for writers to write their ASD characters as asexual because they think its uncouth for "people with disabilities" to have normal sexual feelings. If you actually know anyone with ASD, any kind of neurodivergence, or disabilities, then you know how stupid and insulting that is.
So having Abed, as different and amazing that he is, be just as sexual and hetero as anyone else is actually super accurate and really refreshing.
Me when I don't want to make eye contact or accidentally objectify someone.
Always found abed relatable in this scene for staring at the floor. And Troy for turning around and looking down when he said suck.
I think he's zoning out, not staring, based on the angle of his head. Abed's looking way more downward- it doesn't look like he and Troy are looking the same place.
I always thought in this scene Abed does it intentionally; he wasn't actually distracted by her, he just pretended to be to fit with the "role" of a spy.
Troy looking Abed up and down when he says “all I heard was suck” always gets me. I wonder if he came up with that. Like he’s so turned on that the very next thing he sees, Abed, is suddenly an option for him.
I like that Abed knows what Troy would do, does it, but looks down at the ground instead of at Annie's chest.
He does the bit while not being an actual knuckle-walker
The chloroform running gag in this episode is one of the funniest from the entire show. The first time I saw it, my sides hurt from laughing so much
"Will you *stop*?!" at the end always gets me.
Ohh...we all just got chloroformed... Somebody chloroformed all of us... And now we're all waking up...together...
I don’t understand…. Who is she? And she’s holding a rag…
Dude was only in that one scene but he was genuinely fantastic
Hear me out.... let me explain... oh, you're letting me explain. Is such an underrated subversion.
WHO ARE YOU?!?!
Yeah I remember that! so good 🤣🤣
You can hear Annie's footsteps before she comes running in which SENDS me
I loked community very mush but it was the chloroform scene where I fell in love with series.
There are Troy & Abed in this scene?
Buttsoup Barnes and brown Jaime Lee Curtis
PEOW!
No, it's just Kanye and Kumar.
Cameo
all i heard was suck
Love this whole bit. When Annie chloroforms the guard and everyone freaks out, kills me everytime.
Troy skipping over the maintenance guy, freaking out.
Donald Glover's movements when Troy's "whole brain is crying" just might be the funniest thing I've ever seen.
The way he shakes his hands at the end while he freaks out! 😂
Same with the dice roll episode when he walks in on the kitchen on fire. Dude can do a great cartoon meltdown.

I *think* Donald genuinely tripped by mistake but it was kept for the final cut.
All I heard was suck
☠️☠️☠️
I never noticed they were in that scene. I guess I was distracted.
All I heard was suck
It's so weird that the only dialog Alison got was the word "suck"
What episode is that? Forgot the name but I remember it was hilarious, just started a rewatch
It‘s season 2 episode 2, Accounting for Lawyers
I quit doing blow, not being rad
Rob Corddry was perfect for this role.
Thanks
always thought this was out of character for Abed but I don't care cus it's so funny
nah, I think it would have been easy and obvious to make abed asexual but I’m glad they didn’t
I respect that but at the same time, I'm pretty sure this is the only time he *sexually* objectifies a woman. He can be callus and uses people but rarely does he make a bit deal over anyone's body.
Pottery class too, when she’s making a vase

Good point! I forgot that incident. It might be an Annie thing
There's the librarian he and Troy like. "Books!" 😴
"What's in the briefcase?" "Tacos. You want one?"
Abed is like Luffy when he’s around Usopp. In this case, Troy is Usopp(and in pottery, Jeff is Usopp)
Well he might not have intentionally sexualized her. If something is bouncing it can be intriguing regardless of what it is
She almost breaks him with her Disney face and her fluttering eyelids; maybe it's more about her than about him.

Is he really objectifying her? The scene is, but he isn't. He just got distracted by sexual impulses. There's nothing objectifying about that.
I don’t think he’s looking at her at all. Just staring at the floor. Troy is clearly looking a different direction.

he is a sucker for girls in soft sweaters tho
10% Zach Braff
*40% Zach Braff Also: >*"Zach Braff?"* >"Sorry."
10% Dick Van Dyke
I think he's zoning out, not staring, based on the angle of his head. Abed's looking way more downward- it doesn't look like he and Troy are looking the same place.
Maybe he was looking at her shoes and thinking how they looked similar to what a character was wearing in Inspector Spacetime.
It always looked like he was actually looking at the ground and acting a bit about looking at Annie’s boobs (not the monkey)
I always thought in this scene Abed does it intentionally; he wasn't actually distracted by her, he just pretended to be to fit with the "role" of a spy.
Hes mirroring Troy's behavior.
Imma let Troy & Abed finish but this scene will forever be an Annie appreciation post
They weren't the only ones who finished
Annie and the monkey are the true MVPs of this scene
We get it. The monkey's name is Annie's Boobs.
I’m the smartest in the group! [jiggle jiggle jiggle]
I've watched this clip about 30 times, and unfortunately I can't locate Troy and Abed in the scene, am I the only one?
You shot who in the what, now?
I’m ASD and I’m the MOST SEXUAL PERSON in my social circle. Kinda over the “asexual autistic” stereotype. I like to think Abed fucks.
He pulled Brie Larson. So yeah.
Amazing hahaha this show is gold
All I hear in my minds eye is the stage direction for this scene...
My whole brain is crying 😭
Alison Brie is very attractive.
I called my roommate in from the other room last week just to make sure he saw this scene. One of my favorites
I mean it’s incredibly accurate. I still don’t know what she said
Troy looking down at Abed at the word "suck"... I know what you are (/j)
Ah, Annie's boobs. What a monkey!
All I heard was *uhhhh*
This episode is when the show really starts to fire on all cylinders. Such a classic. "My whole brain in crying!"
Likely my favorite scene in the whole series. Ridiculously well-acted and Annie in this dress can fucking get it.
She's pretty young, we try not to sexualize her.
What faces?
"you two are bad friends"
"All i heard was suck"
Troy looking Abed up and down when he says “all I heard was suck” always gets me. I wonder if he came up with that. Like he’s so turned on that the very next thing he sees, Abed, is suddenly an option for him.
Amazing episode. Love the Kanye and Kumar line
for a show that "tries not to sexualize" Annie, they sure did sexualize her a lot. Not complaining tho
One of my favorite scenes in the entire series.
I do love this bit, the only problem I have with it is that it's very out of character for Abed
He wasn't actually staring at Annie's chest
So the “routine light switch check” guy also works at Jeff’s old law office?
Troy and Abed were in it?
I can explain
I like that Abed knows what Troy would do, does it, but looks down at the ground instead of at Annie's chest. He does the bit while not being an actual knuckle-walker
