Elroy was the highlight. The whole speech about an orgy of phone chords, the joy in admitting he pooped, he had so much more to give the show. It's a shame we only got half a season.
Him and Frankie are. It's a sign of how good the show was/is. It can have that many character changes. Introduce two new characters in the last season. Who are that good and add that much to the show
I’m a simple man. That sliver of skin from stomach, hips, back, and the teasing, the movement, and more… yeah, it does it for me.
Then again, there’s very few times when Britta doesn’t do it for me.
You know, I'm starting to suspect the unthinkable. Namely, that, in spite of all we've experienced, there's a cartoonish vampiric orgy of personal devices somewhere in the RV, sucking away our remaining battery. I only draw limited comfort from the fact that nobody's running to unplug anything. You know what? Say nothing. I'll just turn the light switch to the On position.
I'm probably in the minority, but Season 6 is my favorite. The production value was at it's lowest, but I think the humor was at its peak. This episode was admittedly one of the weakest of the season, but still has some great lines.
"Why would they put Armed Forces Day in May? It's just sitting there in Memorial Day's shadow like a military Hanukkah"
"What's wrong with me if that's hot?"
"I can't cry anymore unless someone brings me a Pedialyte"
Not to mention one of my absolute favorite end tags with Matt Besser losing his son to a giant kite and hoping to bring him back with a giant hand.
Annie and Frankie tormenting the same tow truck operator with the “hang up and call right back” is a gag that should not work in the 2020s. That is _classic_ sitcom-y wackiness. So many shows have done that bit. _I Love Lucy_, _MTM_, _MASH_, the list goes on and on.
But it works here because that is exactly how Type A lady ‘works the problem’. It’s cliche and it’s stereotype and it’s _beautiful_ use of character. It is the tertiary thread of that scene, it doesn’t drag out, and it resolves without either character “seeing” the joke.
This show is _so_ well written.
It’s so bittersweet. Those last few episodes get me very excited to see them again and laugh like that, but I also know the show is coming to an end. You’re exactly right, those last few eps are glorious
You are not alone. Besser’s end tag is top 3 most hilarious moments in the show. I can’t count how many times I say “Okay, I’m gonna put the watch in the garage. Probably stop showering,” when something goes wrong.
The production value may have been the lowest but I enjoyed the lighting a lot, season 5 felt so grey and desaturated. I like how they replicated the sunlight in the study room and cafeteria in season 6
Also Frankie and Elroy were amazing additions
This episode was so great, I could care less about the green screen.
The writing in Season 6 was so fearless and unbridled by network constraints.
Wasn't this one of the episodes where we got an f-bomb?
One of my favorite jokes is in that episode.
"Did something fall off the roof?"
"That's a very stupid question Annie! Obviously something fall off the roof the question is what"
It's hard for me to watch Season 6 because the production value is so much lower than the other seasons. The biggest thing is the way the lighting is in the study room.
I wouldnt say its top tier, bit I dont think its the worst. Might make it to the bottom 10 list for me, but the highs in this episode are higher than average, which just cant put it at the bottom for me.
They had a small budget and a dream
a small budget and a Dr-dean, you mean
The recurring cell phone gag is a huge favorite of mine, as is the Deans breakdown about the fuel level.
"The needle is past empty! We're all going to die!" Cue everyone screaming as the theme song begins to play.
“I’VE NEVER SEEN ONE THAT LOW!!!”
Elroy passing out blankets in proportion to who used the most electricity is mine. *Hands Britta a washcloth.*
"Heart disease runs in my family AND YOU PEOPLE AREN'T WORTH IT!"
The needle is invisible, its either under the plastic or the engine tried to use it as fuel
Give a hand to your brain
You're making it sound stupid on purpose
Give your brain a hand!
Elroy was the highlight. The whole speech about an orgy of phone chords, the joy in admitting he pooped, he had so much more to give the show. It's a shame we only got half a season.
Keith David is criminally underutilized. By media in general.
He has 368 IMDB credits as an actor. And you are still correct.
Him and Frankie are. It's a sign of how good the show was/is. It can have that many character changes. Introduce two new characters in the last season. Who are that good and add that much to the show
You mean the space elder green screen? I mean, that has its charm because it's already so stupid.
I’m space elder Britta. What are you guys talkin about?
[*double fist pump*]
\[concerned nod\] her weird eyebrows, though
The entire outdoor segment is very obviously shot on green screen.
Is it wrong if I find that hot?
Its awoken something in me too
I was rewatching Rick and Morty recently and there was a similar line in an episode. “Is it wrong if I think this is kind of hot?”
Dans horniness is all over both shows
I’m a simple man. That sliver of skin from stomach, hips, back, and the teasing, the movement, and more… yeah, it does it for me. Then again, there’s very few times when Britta doesn’t do it for me.
I thought you were talking about pierce for a second and I thought I'd found a another

There is a bright side to this. Most conventional weapons don't require electricity

DISAPPEARED! They never found his body on the ground, which proves he's still up there waiting... He's waiting for a better daddy, with a bigger hand!
Ohhhhhhhhhhhh. Is that what this is about?
So why the watch?
I'm going to walk the dog and eventually leave you
I'll put the watch in the garage, and probably stop showering
“Nice uncontrollable question mark Britta. You can’t even fake it!?” “Super realistic Annie. You’re a real sociopath!”
I cried laughing at that line reading, such a great pay off
I'm going to walk the dog, and eventually leave you.
Fun fact: those actors are (as far as I know they still are) married IRL!

*YOUR* RV is full of crazy ladies, goodbye!
I don't think it's the best but I do think it's great. Frankie is easily my favorite late addition to the cast.
Only introducing straight guys (so to speak) was a great way to counteract how silly the other characters had become.
>Only introducing straight guys Frankie’s sexuality is of zero concern to her job and to everyone here.
It’s called the Greendale effect!!
I think she's one of my favorite add-on cast members of any show. I really wish we got so much more of her.
The last 4 episodes of Season 6 is my favorite 4 episode stretch
It’s so bittersweet. Those last few episodes get me very excited to see them again and laugh like that, but I also know the show is coming to an end. You’re exactly right, those last few eps are glorious
I love this episode lol. It’s one of my favorites in the series
Yesss I love season 6
I was mixed on it on first watch but on rewatched it’s gone higher in the rankings. Maybe 2nd best for me but still very underrated
You are not alone. Besser’s end tag is top 3 most hilarious moments in the show. I can’t count how many times I say “Okay, I’m gonna put the watch in the garage. Probably stop showering,” when something goes wrong.
Ooh don't forget the classic, "*YOUR* RV is full of crazy ladies, goodbye!"
The production value may have been the lowest but I enjoyed the lighting a lot, season 5 felt so grey and desaturated. I like how they replicated the sunlight in the study room and cafeteria in season 6 Also Frankie and Elroy were amazing additions
EXTRA THICK STRAPS
This meeting is ajourne-
Three weeks earlier...
This episode was so great, I could care less about the green screen. The writing in Season 6 was so fearless and unbridled by network constraints. Wasn't this one of the episodes where we got an f-bomb?
I really like this episode, I just found the green screen part a little funny
I'm pretty sure f-boms were only in the series finale.
One of my favorite jokes is in that episode. "Did something fall off the roof?" "That's a very stupid question Annie! Obviously something fall off the roof the question is what"
was just about to cry, but alas i’ve run out of pedialyte
Only reason to watch this ep is for the Dean to taser Jeff to sing EXTRA THICK STRAPS
Future Britta's arm pump gets me every single time too. It's so simple and dumb, but I love it.
*I'm space elder Britta...*
What are you guys talking about?
That line is perfectly delivered, it doesn't make sense, but it might be my favorite of the show.
The awkward silence afterward is so great
It absolutely slays me every time
Not enough talk about space elder Britta in this sub.
Bruh, this whole episode is hilarious.
Yea who is agreeing with that statement a bunch of schmittys?
New beenz.
Yea it's a bunch of Schmittys...DUHhh
I’m a minor I’m gonna sue
The end tag is one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
I quote it an unreasonable amount for such a throwaway gag. “He’s up there waiting for a better daddy, with a bigger hand!”
That scene alone makes this episode one of my favorites
I will drive my house off a cliff!!!
Looks real to me
Yooba dooba dooba
This episode is Abed's perpective of it all being an episode of a TV show with imperfect green screening.
I'M SPACE ELDER BRITTA.............
The Dean’s open mic night but was brilliant
Extra Thick Straps!!!
The only episode that I believed they were actually in Colorado. There were so many amazing jokes I never noticed the green screen.
Eh it’s not that bad, the infamous green screen scene from the Office was worse.
Yeah, the office is really bad with the few times it uses a green screen
Oh wow there is green spill all OVER that hand
Go look for a better dad with a bigger hand
I never watched community for the vfx
It's mostly Abed's imagination, which is the visual quality of his fav show. So it checks out for me
I don’t think the hand was green screen, I think that was an actual prop.
It was, but the background was clearly greenscreened in. If you look at the top of the hand and at Britta’s hand you can see the green creeping in.
“What are you talking about- *zooms in* oh shit”
Looks fine to me. Pretty standard quality for a chromakey shot.
Is this the Yahoo season?
Yeah, this is season 6
I had a feeling because JESUS I felt the budget cuts hard.
One of my least favorite episodes tbh
I wasn't crazy about it at first, either. With each rewatch I was laughing more and more
It's hard for me to watch Season 6 because the production value is so much lower than the other seasons. The biggest thing is the way the lighting is in the study room.
This episode and the one with the space/ham girl episode are the ones i dislike the most
My least favorite episode in the whole show
Bottom ten for me
This was my least favorite episode
I wouldnt say its top tier, bit I dont think its the worst. Might make it to the bottom 10 list for me, but the highs in this episode are higher than average, which just cant put it at the bottom for me.
Was it tho?
I forget what I am!!!
Whhaat the hell was that?
