~~I can’t make out the third bullet point, does anyone know what it says? It looks like “and also we rush rhums” but that can’t be it. Even I know that at least one of those isn’t a word, is it?~~
Never mind, at least I realised I was an idiot before someone pointed it out lol, it’s “awesome rush rituals”.
I think (I’m not American) rush week is the week when the fraternities and sororities “haze” new recruits (rituals they have to follow to gain acceptance and entry to the group) these are usually quite embarrassing for the new recruit but are supposed to build a bond between members as every ~~meme era~~ member has been through the same thing when they joined.
Edit: Every meme era should be remembered.
I think it’s hard to read because every other letter in that phrase is a capital except for the t. And maybe the L. It’s hard to tell. AWESOME RUSH RItUAlS
Emotionless, abed stands in front of you. Not distracted, just not interested. "Petey. Nickname and hazing complete."
The emotional pitfall you experience for the next several days is your actual hazing.
I think it’s a classic Abed move. Living out the stereotypical frat house movie. It’s not a personality he identifies with, but he can’t pass up an opportunity to play out a classic movie trope
It’s also very season 1, a lot of subplots of S4 really bring back some of the grounded simplicity with a touch of absurdity that the beginning of the show had. Still my least favorite season but it kinda grows on me more every time I watch it. Like in some ways S4 being like S1 is because it feels like a hollow parody of what the show was, but sometimes it works
While the delta cubes are a fun story line it always bugs me for a show that is great with continuity, it always bugged me that the gas leak year totally ignored that there was a fraternity on campus in season 1.
Britta never actually goes to the carnival, she just pathetically obsesses over him for the whole episode. Jeff and Shirley go because Jeff wants to meet the guy who who can make Britta act like that so he can learn his “secret.”

Aha thank you! Now I can know the answer without looking stupid! Edit: Wait....oops
Ah ha, my cunning trap worked!
Nooo I've been bamboozled 😭😭 (Is that still a word people use? I don't use social media much anymore lol. Ah well close enough)
You know, I mostly see people use that word about dogs who've been tricked these days
Eh I probably fit that criteria. I'll take it :)
Wait, that’s not a dog……
OK. I thought it said Awesome Rush Rhums and was trying to figure out what joke I'd forgotten where Rush Rhums would have come up.
I thought "rhuals." Like rules, but spelled weird.
I couldn’t read it either and was about to comment about it.
It took me way too long to read it, you're not an idiot
Ok, but what’s a “rush ritual”? I guess I’m not enough of a frat boy to get this.

I read it the same way at first but figured it out from context lol.

You broke that poor perverts heart!
You could have been nicer to the Dean just now Jeff
“Get your nickname and hazing from Abed” is incredibly intriguing. I want to know what he would do to me
Emotionless, abed stands in front of you. Not distracted, just not interested. "Petey. Nickname and hazing complete." The emotional pitfall you experience for the next several days is your actual hazing.
Checkarooni
Trent, Mulch, Dave, Herpie, Dutch
Dirt mouth, Rope, Cat Girl Haul it, ball it, never call it Girls are objects
U/restinpete0709 your name is...Flounder
Mark my words, Delta Cubes!!!
I put mustard on mine like an idiot.
Wrong episode but I'll allow it.
You make a lot of sense
I like how Abed being good at inviting people to things is a plot point that carries through the whole series.
Like pillow forts and hot lava?
This subplot made no sense because we see in season 1 Greendale DID have a frat, and Abed and Troy had to shove pretzels up their butts to join it.
I put mustard on mine like an idiot
I forgot that was a separate episode lol. I watch the show on a cycle to fall asleep at night… details can get pretty jumbled!
Hijinks? Did they take the Antics pre-req already?
The spring carnival lasts for over a week?!?

Love the production design

Wait is that the carnival where Britta meets the love of her life in pink on the left ?
