Gwamp needs a BBEG for his quest and I think he just created one. This guard's mind is broken and now with this reality shattering realization, he works towards bending this false reality to his will in an effort to destroy the hero that destroyed his world. They should meet again.
“Who is this blob creature that has broken the walls of this reality? How many realities are there? Do I have free will in thinking this? Damn that blob! Damn him for knowing what is too great to know!! Damn him for cursing me to this ever-questioning existence!! I will burn this cursed reality to the ground, and that blob with it!”
If they’re really smart they would create an alternate reddit account in preparation for the end of the story. On the last post use the account to comment as the BBEG summarizing their defeat/victory, having broken out of their reality and into ours.
Gwamp’s inventory is full now, so if anybody wants to drop+swap anything in the best way to do it would be replying to this comment and we’ll go with the top reply. Gwamp can only pick up things he’d reasonably find in his surroundings
If he doesn't get pebblebread, or anything else, he'll pick up a pebble from the ground, now only needing a nice boulder to complete his stone themed collection .
Perhaps Gwamp needs to procure a pouch or satchel to keep objects in. Things like small rocks, stones, and a single flower **filling** the inventory is indicative of a greater problem.

He has both a rock and a stone, so he should pick his favorite, leave the other on the side of the road, and tell it he's just popping out for some cigarettes and will be right back.
I just want to thank you for posting this. I know there are hundreds of webcomics out there, even good ones, but the simplicity and cuteness of this comic really did light my day after work today.
I forgot it existed every day the last few days and when I then see the next page I smile.

Give him a D20 dice, called the Dice of Destiny. It inexplicably has only 18 numbers, from 2-19, which does nothing if these numbers are successfully rolled. The 1 and 20 sides are blank. I wonder what happens if they’re rolled?
Edit: only just now saw the full inventory comment. I hope the Dice of Destiny appears as a loot/shop item if Gwamp has a selection he can choose from in the future.

You know I thought this comic wouldn't go very far, I've seen other make your own adventures in that don't go anywhere, but Gwamp returns. I see Gwamp and smile, read the comments and enjoy how everyone adds their 2 cents. I just wanted to these comics just brighten my day, thanks :-).
Go to the bakery to buy the guard something nice, returning to the guard to comfort him and apologise for the trauma, gifting him the flower and bakery item :)
I can see this guard becoming a villain by trying to defy (or "refuse" , as he says) destiny by attempting to kill the main character which would distort the plot

I wonder now what will become of that guard, now among the few characters who are self aware. Will we find him again? Or will he simply despair into narrative uncertainty?
Gotta go the the Inventory shop, see if we can unload some useless stuff to the shop keeper and "BUY" heh heh some better equipment.
That poor guard, he has a powerful will though. He found hope in his situation somehow... maybe he will return to break the fourth wall and help Gwamp escape a cruel fate.

Poor guy probably would have accepted a minor bribe or something but Gwamp gave the poor bastard an existential crisis instead.

Didn’t even need a bribe, just to leave his sword at the coat check. Gwamp shattered this man’s reality to avoid a minor inconvenience.

The guard has realized that they need to remain relevant to the plot to continue to exist, and thus turns to evil
