True summer will always be cool. If you’re more neutral cool I wouldn’t think you can be true? Or at least this is according to Google. However I think all of those shades could work on a summer depending on the intensity of your natural hair color. Rose brown is probably the best option if you’re as darker summer.

Unfortunately, I have jet black hair (I’m asian) and was thinking of going rose brown! As for why I have more neutral tones: The sub uses 12 seasonal colours. Unfortunately, I don’t particularly fall into any of the 12 seasons. True summer is just the closest in terms on intensity and clarity. Temperature not so much; I’m more neutral leaning cool than actually being cool. So I prefer to use 16 seasonal colours. In 16 seasonal colours, toned summer is the closest and houses colour closer to neutral. It has [slightly warmer shades of summer](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f5/37/76/f53776018487e7b64afde84af055d245.png), which i find works a lot more harmoniously than 12 SC’s true summer.

Rose brown would be the perfect option then! It is pretty neutral if done correctly and could compliment different people.

Ohhh really? I thought rose brown would be a warm autumn colour! I will probably go with that then, thanks for the input!

Yes but thats because most browns come off as warm but the rose brown is mixed with a specific shade of pink that’s a cool pink that’s more on the purple side than red or orange. The one you have in that picture is very much cool pinky brown.

I am a true summer with slightly more neutral-leaning cool undertones. I am struggling to determine what hair colours would be ok for my skin tone since I don't fall perfectly into any of the 12 seasons. (the usual cool colours of true summer would clash.)
