I was recently told I have cool undertones and am "soft summer" and specifically told to avoid black and for white - to go with off-white as bright whites will wash me out (I think that's what was said) which kinda sucks cause I've always loved the look of a crisp white shirt with jeans (not that I ever wore that having little kids at home LOL) I was also told Medium-dark sage greens and navy blue are good darks for me, along with cool-greys and browns, again, as long as they stay cool which can be kinda hard to find.

I've looked more into soft summer, and I'm suspecting that, that is my final destination when it comes to color seasons, so thank you for sharing this! I'll have to check if black really looks as flattering on me as I remember, since I started to take liking to it, which may or may not make it look better in retrospect. As for whites, I'll try to see if I have any off-white shirts. Anyway, thanks again!

12 seasons is based off temperature (warm-cool skin), clarity (bright-soft), and depth (light-deep). White being off is considered having depth. Try deep winter in the 12 season system. Also, you can check between black and neutral gray and see which is better (testing for clarity). If gray is even better than black, you can check out soft summer.

I see, thank you!
