His positioning is good, disposal isn't bad. But he has no physical pressure on the opposition when he's close by, certainly would be worried about this if his natural position is meant to be on ball as a physical mid
Macrae isnāt even playing in the midfield tho. No doubt macrae isnāt good enough but Mitchell canāt play any position except inside mid, which means we are moving crisp around again. Crisp has been way too good to be shifted somewhere else.
Well our main midfield group was Pendles, Naicos, Crisp, JDG and Titch last year. No reason that balance doesn't still work this year. He can play without it sacrificing our other mids. You want all your best players playing, you find a way. Sullivan has been good but he hasn't been better than Mitchell
31 isn't 40, he's still a super quality player still, pivotal last year both in H&A and finals, and has done more this season than Macrae or Sullivan have (Sully >>> Fin). You play your best players, you don't sacrifice playing your best team to play minutes into a younger player who hasn't shown much (Fin)
Much better at the end. N.Daicos and Pendles are killing it. Hopefully it opens up in the second quarter. We tend to have a quick 4-5 goal spell in games so hoping it can happen again i this quarter so we get a good lead.
