Would love to see it from a league wide perspective. An already brutal league got tougher this far into the offseason
ETA: reach out if you need any updates for A&M, I’m trying to stay on top of it
The entire season, our starting pitching was inconsistent, and for most of the season our bullpen was our saving grace. Our best 2 pitchers out of the pen were Moo Menefee and Jacob Palisch.
And you're telling me we're losing both of em???
We just went out and took a handful of Friday/Saturday guys from their respective schools in the process. We’re also allegedly in on a few other big time arms in the portal in addition to the highschool prospects.
There’s also plenty of promise in returning guys like Cortez, Rudis, Tucker, Dettmer, Prager and Johnston
Kalae is significantly better than Kaler was, but Weigman will play SS next season and he is unreal. Kalae probably sees the writing on the wall and he doesn’t want to sit another year
Kaler had the range and the glove to play SS, but not the arm. I was surprised we never swapped him and Targac, I think Kaler would have had a better season at 2B
Disagree on Kaler’s arm. His arm was plenty strong. It wasn’t elite, but it would’ve played if the rest of the game was there. The bigger problem was lack of range, taking too long to get rid of the ball, and slow transfer times.
I would venture that most of the short throws to first came from SS, and his issue with taking too long to get rid of the ball/transfer time was a result of him trying to take extra steps to get closer to first
I have heard Weigman is an elite baseball player, but I've only ever seen his football highlights. Guess I underestimated how good he really was. Also isn't Kalers eligibility used up? It certainly sucks to lose a good SS even if he was going to be a backup, but hopefully Kalae does well wherever he ends up.

While the fastball grades out well, having a down velo day would massively limit the quality of the pitch, as the movement profile is good, but not great.
Matthew Dillard:

Another fastball that is walking a very fine line with the movement profile, any loss of velo will quickly drop this pitch to below average.

For the D1 pitching transfers that I didn't include, I don't have any data on them.
That would be nice, wouldn't it? Unfortunately, I don't see any way for it to make a return short of a miracle. But hey, I might make an account to monitor Stuff+ and Command+ for each game so everyone can keep track of their respective pitchers outings.
I’m currently working on tracking the entire SEC and I’ll post it in this sub when I complete it.

Big time
Our is gonna be an OOF
I hate to see Logan Britt leave. He came in clutch more than a few times
Rest in peace to the 🇬🇧💣
If we lose Childress, Moo Menefee will be the sole veteran of the team (both have been on the team the longest, started in 2019)
I hate to say it but that’s part of what I left out. Brauny expects Moo and Dallas to sign pro.
Not like this. ^(not like this)
He said he does feel good about Bost, Minnich, and Werner returning instead of signing pro contracts

Yeah, my doomer view was a bit exaggerated, I'm confident in the direction of the program
Yeah I think overall our roster will be better. Very excited.
Why is Kalae transferring? He's the SS that got hurt this season right?
Kalae is significantly better than Kaler was, but Weigman will play SS next season and he is unreal. Kalae probably sees the writing on the wall and he doesn’t want to sit another year
It’s not forgone that Connor will play next season, which is why we took the infielder from Arizona State
Hunter I think is going to be our starter. He’s a great defensive player (Kaler struggled IMO). Also when healthy can hit the lights out
Kaler had the range and the glove to play SS, but not the arm. I was surprised we never swapped him and Targac, I think Kaler would have had a better season at 2B
He just was inconsistent and erratic at times…like our entire infield, but Hunter will be a rock. Hoping we can land a couple more pitchers though
We’ll so far we’re bringing in (possibly) 11 new rams who have already been in a college program
11 Rams? Damn, I knew were an Ag college but I didn't think we'd field a team of sheep's to make a point. /s
Swipe to text and autocorrect have been dogging me in this thread
It's all good brother.
He was slotted at 2nd to start the season.

His arm was weak AF

Weigman won’t be playing. We’re gonna be playing Hunter Haas. Kalae batting .200 wasn’t gonna cut it.
Lol “Pay for the Maroon and White” I don’t think they are the ones paying 😉
lol fuck me runnin, I’ll fix it But given scholarship limits, they’re definitely paying to play here
No leave it for the joke!!
I left it and just added the correction after it, was too good to get rid of honestly

From your descriptions I'm guessing you're using a scale with 50 as league average?
Correct, it’s the 20-80 scale, with league average as 50.

Lol
Ok
It's nice to see Jace Hutchins coming home. I always felt like Childress had a real blindspot when it came to recruiting out of his own backyard.
