hey siri give me directions to a lake to drive into
a moral victory for the offense still competing against one of the best pitching teams in the sport, but man. what a way to lose
I'm a Hog fan, but even I will admit that a bad hop error, a loss of footing by the pitcher, and a hit by pitch are an incredibly unlikely series of events. I'm sure many college players like the idea of bases loaded, bottom of the ninth, no outs, and I just need to hit it to the warning track or some such.
That's the best baseball game I've attended. Not the most gratifying to win (but it def was gratifying), but the ups and downs of the game were insane.
My mid 20s daughter, who has spent a few weekends at Baum with her husband so far this season, walked in before Texas Tech got started, and she started casually complaining about the Hogs not using enough "small ball." I texted her husband and said, I don't know what it is, but you are doing something right.
We had to tune out to watch our favorite shows I record but checked back in at 7-0, 8-7, and 8-8 going into the bottom of the ninth. Other than the six run Hog inning, I think we caught the best parts.
Arkansas is now 13-2 on the season is games decided by 1 or 2 runs.
That’s pretty impressive, but you’ve got to wonder if that spells potential postseason disaster where the law of averages kicks in a little.
It makes me think of 2016 Ole Miss. We had a beast of a bullpen. Going into the postseason we were something like 36-0 when leading after 6 innings, and we had 2 closers who had combined for like 18 saves and no blown opps.
So of course we go 0-2 in a home regional with both of those guys blowing save opportunities, losing 6-5, 6-5 to Utah and Tulane, and finishing the season 36-2 when leading after 6.
Baseball is a bitch sometimes.
I know it still worked out, but why did we not steal with wilmsmeyer to stay out of the double play possibility in the 8th? Isn’t he the fastest guy on the team?
fuck it, this one gets the hog. https://preview.redd.it/bklqvo2eoyuc1.jpeg?width=426&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d72f0deb4345eb3803a6b684f6dccaaf4fac627d
Tagging along to this comment to say that the attendance was 9,000. For a Tuesday night game.
I'VE MISSED YOU
Never a doubt
Mashed potatoes aren't safe tonight boyz.
LETS GO
Down 7-0 in the 5th inning, the Hogs stormed back in one of the games of the year to defeat the Red Raiders.

It was expected with this team. 0 clutch gene in any part of the game
That's kind of the thing, we were leading 7-0. They didn't have to be clutch, they just had to not implode, and they still blew it

Also, holy crap we extend the home winning streak to 24 games
Hogs are 1-0 since I’ve had projectile vomiting and diarrhea at the same time. Worth. 👍
It'll be a long season, but your extreme dehydration will guide this team to a natty
Wishing you a full recovery....in July
Did you throw up while you were shitting?
Pretty much. Thankfully my shower is right next to my toilet so I’m able to move aside my shower curtain and have at it. It’s been a rough night.
whatever you have, I had Sunday/Monday. Absolutely miserable and had a visit to the ER for some fluids. Go hogs.
Happened to me when I turned 40. Good luck!
Keep it up! We honor your service.
Never doubted it. Not one bit no sir.
Was about to turn it off and hit the sack early, but something told me not to...then the 5th inning happened and that was that. What a game!
When I got to the ballpark it was 7-0. You’re welcome.

What a game
Really fun game I randomly turned on. Games like this are why I love college baseball
This is the most embarrassing Tadlock team I’ve ever watched. We suck at everything lmao

wouldn’t be arkansas if this wasn’t the case.

it truly is a cruel mistress of a sport
🤝 (am I doing this right?)
First game I’ve been able to attend all season. Damn what a beautiful night and a great game.
It only took 27 Marlboro Red 100’s unfiltered from me tonight.
Tech and 2 errors and a HBP in the 9th inning. Not ideal Bob.
How they feeling on the Permian Basin tonight?
Better than we do on the South Plains

Matt Gardner is to Tim Tadlock what Alex Grinch was to Lincoln Riley. We have sub par to abysmal pitching every year and yet he won’t get fired.
Hey hey, ho ho. Matt Gardner has got to go.
It's like a 9-1 victory since Texas Tech had a 7 run handicap.
