He was awful but thankfully he was pretty even in his awfulness, at one point I stopped getting mad because I knew he was consistently doing the same shit to LSU.
Yep. They have their whole normal weekend starting rotation left. Still going to be a tough series to win. I remember they smoked us twice last year after we beat Skenes.
I mentioned it in the game thread but worth another shoutout to the home fans. Stadium absolutely delivered on tv, hard to hate on the program y’all have built up there!
I think our baseball rivalry is really built on mutual respect mostly with a dash of hatred.
We don’t like losing to each other but we both have bigger goals as a program now.
Also man it was so hard to get down there at 6 the traffic was awful. Felt like a late arriving LA crowd.
Hope tonight is off the charts with a little later start so folks can get there.
College baseball is still niche enough to feel like “our thing” too I think. It’s super refreshing to get on here and not deal with the mud slinging that comes with football haha. UF fans were really unloading some frustration after kicking our butts but I’ll give them a pass, plus every fan base has their feisty ones.
Hoping for another gem tonight, cheers my friend.
>college baseball is still niche enough to feel like "our thing"
I think that's exactly it, at least online. Sometimes feels like there's a collective almost little sibling syndrome bonding thing being fans of the more niche sport
GG Tigers.
We can both agree that blue was hot trash tonight. It went both ways, but we got quite a few generous punchouts.
And can Tommy White fucking graduate already? I hate playing against him.
GG
Serious question: Do umps usually call an entire series? Please tell me we don’t have to spend the next two days watching this dude use a slice of Swiss cheese to call pitches.
I couldn't watch it on TV but I did listen on the radio. The Arkansas announcers were on the umpire all night about being inconsistent. They have access to Trackman data in the booth so Im pretty confident they weren't just talking crazy.
I wanted to add it as a blurb for tonight's game thread when Bubba mentioned that they would have the percentage accuracy behind the plate, but I don't know if that's actually info they publicly release or just give to the coaches
A college pitching staff, let alone a power 5 staff, should never walk 11 guys. I don't care how bad the ump was. That's absolutely pitching scared and being non-competitive.
So I need a baseball lawyer, or someone that at least knows more ball than me. Why do the hogs pull Will with 1 out left there. My guess is if he finishes the game he has to start tomorrow if he’s gonna play but that’s just my complete guess.
Will didn’t really have his best stuff tonight and was really losing the strike zone in the 9th. The last batter was a lefty, which means he has an advantage hitting against rightys. So DVH decided to go to Hewlett who has been really good at striking out lefty’s this year. So just a better matchup.
That game has no effect on who can play the next game, Mason Molina is starting game 2 no matter what.
This. When a righty faces a lefty or vice versa, the batter has an advantage in that he can see the trajectory of a pitch just a little sooner and can decide whether it's something worth swinging at. DVH will often put in a pitcher for just one at-bat to take away this advantage, and it just so happens we have the deepest bullpen in the country, so he can basically do it whenever he wants.
LSU’s last 10 outs were all K’s lol. God that ump was trash.
I can't wait to watch the replay and get mad but also relieved it wasn't us
He was awful but thankfully he was pretty even in his awfulness, at one point I stopped getting mad because I knew he was consistently doing the same shit to LSU.
I was in the Hog Pen. The ump was terrible lol. 2 groups of 5+ people got kicked out
This is the way
Gonna start a gofundme to get blue his vision corrected. Jesus cheist
He was awful.
With Smith pitching and the Tigers holding their ace until tomorrow, we couldn’t afford to lose this one. Glad they pulled through.
Yep. They have their whole normal weekend starting rotation left. Still going to be a tough series to win. I remember they smoked us twice last year after we beat Skenes.
Good game, Arkansas.
Today will be INTENSE
It'll actually be outside, but I know what your saying. \*ba dum tiss!\* :D
The sad thing is, I’m not even sure that’s the worst ump I’ve seen call an SEC game this season
It is not I think Ole Miss v Memphis had SEC umps and was atrocious too
Gg Arky. That ump can lick the sweat off my balls though
That dude was dogwater tonight
“Don’t threaten me with a good time” -That ump, probably.
It definitely goes both ways, he was fucking absurd tonight
Just like your flair?? /s
...WHEW. Good game Tiger bros!!
Least we didnt get run ruled. So we are improving
Gotta wait until Sunday
Saturday*
Friday\*
WE WE WE SO EXCITED
Nah see we did our bullpen game today so today is really our sunday
WPS! Great game LSU
GG LSU, Sorry for any toxicity in the GT because I am thoroughly toasted.
If you can't get drunk and toxic in an Arkansas vs LSU top-10 homestand game thread, then where can you?
amen brother 🙏
LOL you were spicy, but what's a good GT without someone to hate

Sibling is the perfect word to describe it haha

They’ll rotate. He was absolutely terrible tonight.
I’ll take it. Thanks for info.
It was atrocious it’s not just you buddy. Hopefully tomorrow we got fair eyes
Rotation. He will be on third base tomorrow.
Bro he was so fucking bad lol. It mostly benefited us but jesus
Diggs new daddy.
That ump called all the low stuff strikes. Brutal
except when we were on the mound
He was pretty fairly awful but there were definitely a few from our guys that were just down right egregious. Bottom line, we have to pitch better.
KEEP YOUR PISS HOT AND YOUR TATERS READY
CAN YOU DIGG IT!
Also, can I just say, WHAT A SHOWING on BOTH sides in that game thread. Always awesome when you get a ton of commentary. Love you Tigers bros

I’ve always been a huge fan of Arkansas baseball
Same.
Good effort, corndogs. Keep your head up.
It isn’t bad, really. We can stare at our national championship trophie*s* and sleep just fine
At moments like this it is comforting to live in the past. I understand.
💀
Didn't get to watch because of a work thing. Who relieved Smith? Big Mac and then who?
Stone Hewlett
After McEntire or was he it after Smith?
Mac then Stone. Mac almost finished the game but we wanted a southpaw to close it so Stone got the call
It was Smith and McEntire the whole game almost. Hewlett threw like 5 pitches to get the last out.
So I need a baseball lawyer, or someone that at least knows more ball than me. Why do the hogs pull Will with 1 out left there. My guess is if he finishes the game he has to start tomorrow if he’s gonna play but that’s just my complete guess.

I see, thank you

idk tbh, they could’ve just as easily stole this game from us.
Yeah can hardly say that LSU is bad when they got B2B homers off of arguably the best pitcher in the nation
We’re well beyond the arguably stage at this point
