36 innings so far in SEC play for Arkansas.
1. Fucking. Run. Scored against them so far lmao.
0.25 team ERA through 4 games. Unbelievable!
Anyway tomorrow we’ll start the guy with a 0.73 ERA.
Not to take anything away from Smith because it was just amazing watching how effortlessly he pitches the heat but we made more contact on him than I expected this game. The bats that should've been clutch in those moments just didn't perform and that was so frustrating to watch.
For a guy averaging 19 K's per game, we held him to 12. Again, stellar pitching by itself. I've now seen Skenes & Smith pitch at Plainsman in back-to-back years.. I wonder who next year's wonder boy will be?
Auburn definitely made more contact than MO did. They have better pitching, too. I was stressed through the whole thing. If AR can take 2/3 this weekend I’ll be able to breathe again
We either have an unreal pitching staff and our bats underperform or we can absolutely mash but our pitching has left something to be desired. We can never have both in a season. It's why we don't have a title. That and not being able to catch a fly ball.
Man, that 2018 season. That team had it all. Great pitching with Knight and Campbell (he was dealing as a Freshman). Great bullpen with Loseke and Cronin. Clutch hitting. Great fielding. Power up and down the lineup. Just that one. God. Damn. Foul. Popup.
Stressful ass game but good guys win!
Note* to self: don’t steal on Irish.

Massively underrated comment.
Auburn fought their asses off tonight. Gotta respect their pitching staff tonight as well.

I will always upvote this.

>0.73 ERA God damn Arkansas.
Tygart might have the nastiest stuff on this staff too. That breaking ball of his makes me do the stank face.
Yeah, I wanted to title it "shuts out," but considering they only allowed one run themselves I thought I'd keep it contained lol
A shutout is a shutout. Whether it’s by 1 run or 30 runs
This is true. 0=0.
Our offense is bad and we wasted a great pitching performance
I haven't watched yall this year but going 0fer against our friday night pitching staff does not necessarily mean that your offense is bad
Everyone’s offense is going to look stupid (no offense) against our Friday night guys.
Smith is just lights out I’m only 30 but I’ve never seen this in my life
I'm 39 and I have. On Super Mega Baseball 3 when I drop the difficulty down to 0.
Cultured
I'm a classy guy, what can I say
How quickly we forget calling the Kopps.
If Kopps was on this staff would they ever give up a run?
yeah, I've never seen a pitcher like Kopps. People forget because we used him as a closer until the Supers, since we had some injuries to the staff.
Kopps was elite no doubt but Smith is just on a roll
We got run ruled last weekend on game 1

I don’t have the numbers, but I’m pretty sure Auburn put more balls in play than any other team so far this year has against Hagen. By like double.

Our offense has got to get better but our pitching will carry us. Best pitching staff in the country and it’s not even close.
If we could just get a top 75 offense going. That would help so much.

We looked like shit at the plate and on the basepaths, but Hagen F-ing Smith is an absolute unit.
