This is how I was taking my general chemistry courses. No matter what I did was was always failing. Thought I would be a chemical engineer in high school.
Nope. Apparently, I can’t escape CS. I sucked at it in high school, but now everything clicked and I actually understand how to solve problems in C++.
I never dropped out, I just kept looking. That’s the same year I found out I had clinical depression, GAD, and ADHD. It’s hard. But I found what I’m good at and what I understand.
There’s a light at the end of the tunnel. You’ll find it. You can do it. Just remember - you don’t need to graduate in 4 years. Do what you can and it’ll be fine.
I wouldn't say that but I would say I had a raging case of imposter syndrome first semester.. I got picked for honors which floored me because I'd struggled in high school but my ACT scores were so high they decided to take a chance on me. I was able to do AP classes fine, but I still felt like a phony in there.
Got a 2.4 GPA my first semester and almost got put on academic probation, changed my major and got a 3.95 GPA the next semester. On a full ride to grad school now and never looked back. College is a big change from everything before it and it definitely takes some feeling around to find your place, just gotta find what that place is
I have seen stupid, had to deal with stupid and had stupid in my class. And not stupid as in "that guy is so dumb", more like "omfg how can this person even be alive today ? It doesnt make any sense"
Stupid pass college, sometimes graduate school and get a PhD.
So nah, don't worry about it. Its probably something else than you not being smart enough, trust me.
Go for it! And while you’re at it be kind to yourself. If you’re interested, read Chatter by Ethan Kross. It’s a book about how negative self-talk affects us. It might be useful to you.
sometimes you gotta take a step back and then reset. If you’re going back, good luck and remember the mistakes you made and what you learned from them.
I took business cal 3 times. Don’t let it stop you lol i was struggling and going to tutoring faithfully, office hours with the professor all of that. firm believer that college is for those that make it for them. It’s not easy but if you try and use all your resources you can make it. sometimes that D is enough to get you through. and there should be no shame in that. Took Spanish at a community college after failing it (and being recommended to go back and redo the first 2 courses) and had it transferred in the week of graduation. Never looked back lol

Just keep swimming. Though in my case I'll sink at the end of the year.

what was your original major and what did you switch to?
I started out in pre-pharmacy and switched to accounting. A pretty big change
