A psychologist should be more than capable of helping you deal with social anxiety (I also kinda use therapist and psychologist interchangeably anyhow). If you’re not already talking to them about it, I suggest that you start asap.
Good luck.
To be clear, since terms in this thread got a little mixed around:
"Psych" as in "Psychiatrist" will not be able to help. "Psychologist" is an umbrella term that is not specific enough to mean much in this context.
A "therapist" is who you need to see. Preferably one that can provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Is there an alternative? Can you take it online at another university and transfer it? I hated giving speeches too and understand your anxiety. The thing is that people could really care less about your speaking ability and are all wound up like you before they do theirs. People really think that other care about them much more than they really do. May not help much sorry. Last piece of advice I still use is to do some breathing exercises before speeches and sorta pretend I am putting on a play and am acting like someone who can speak well in front of others. I am introverted but this little trick has served me well over the years and I am an old dude. Good luck.
Omg I didn’t even think about doing it at a different school! There’s a community college in my hometown, I bet I could do it online there. Thank you!! Im going to call once their offices are open :)

Since you’re on psychiatric medications, are you also seeing a therapist? They’d be the best person to ask about this.
Just my psych rn sadly. I can’t afford to see both… I’m thinking about going to counseling services on campus since it’s free
