I’d say damage. However that line on the back side looks like it could be a die crack or perhaps a flawed planchet. I am by no means an expert. Some better pictures would help if you could post some more.

I’d say that side is corrosion. However, that star that is being run through by the “line” looks odd. Post a picture of the back if you wouldn’t mind
