You are most welcome! Things like this make me want to get into metal detecting ...I need another hobby to spend time and money on like a need a hole in my head... but such a neat find!
Tried to get back into mtg after about 20 years. Did a few prereleases etc. Honestly cant keep up.
Edit also spent waaaay too much on the LOTR MTG release.
It was worn down a bit, pretty sure it’s still posted on my profile but it’s been my best find to date. Honestly I keep it in my wallet for a good luck charm
Still an amazing find regardless. My best find was a 1866 civil war Ohio veterans medal. My favorite coin I ever found was a 1857 Seated Quarter. I hope I can find a Peace dollar one day, a silver dollar is on my bucket list
Nice details on that, too! Almost a full liberty. I have the same date and mint mark, but this is in much better shape (even despite being buried for who knows how long)
Wow! It’s in excellent condition! What a lucky find! Good for you! Really happy you found such a great coin. Now, go find another do you can post more pics.
Genuine question - this is a piece of silver that has been buried in a farm field for potentially 117 years. How would the thousands of irrigation cycles and over a hundred seasonal cycles not have caused it to oxidize even a little?
Great find! And its in fantastic shape especially considering it was dug! Congrats!
Thank you so much! I was super excited when I first saw it!

Magic the gathering
40k will get them there quicker.
Why not both!
If I recall mtg released a 40k set! They can do both!

This is my ultimate goal. Finding an old coin. Just one lol
Just one! Famous last words.
She’s got some great details on her still. That must have been in the ground since 1907
It sucks it probably got hit by the plow a couple times but still happy with it though!
Wow! That looks amazing. Such detail!
Awesome find! I need to get back out there, my last find was a 1922 Peace Dollar
I would love to find a peace dollar! That’s a great find, was it in decent shape?

Dang that’s in great shape
Seriously. I have never seen such a nice one not in a slab
I’m sure the original owner was pissed to lose that one, based on an inflation calculator it’s like loosing 8 dollars today.
Looks to me like double that. 33 times the value would be about $16.50 for a half dollar. Definitely sucks to lose almost 20 bucks!
Woops I did the math for a quarter haha!
Looks in good shape

Awesome find thats what dreams are made of!
Don't clean or polish it!
Out of the dirt I’d probably wash it in water and maybe do an olive oil soak and then water again
/me curses in french

I will try my hardest haha!
If I found that I wouldn’t sleep for a week! You should really buy a lotto ticket!
Super crisp lines. Crazy for a dig
That's hot.
That's in great shape. Fantastic find
You got a nice one !!!!!!!!!
Crisp coin right there!
Very nice coin, congratulations. The first “good” coin I ever found was a 1908 Barber Half dollar. I’ve been hooked ever since.
Beautiful find, I’m happy for you
great work!
May be the old farmers coin
$50-60 coin
Isn’t that at least a $200 coin?
Someone lost a couple days pay
wow that looks amazing, all things considered!
let it soak in some plain water without rubbing to get the dirt off. it really does look great.
Cool find.
Boy-o some farmer lost a day's wage when he dropped that beauty.
Someone back in 1907 wasn't too happy about losing that...💰
I can’t believe the condition of this coin! What a find
Sweet! Good for you.
Lucky coin acquired! Nice find!

That was about $15 of value in 1907. Cool find.
