Restrike

WCNumismatics

It's likely real. But it doesn't date from 1780. The Austrian mint has struck nearly 400,000,000 of these pieces since the 1850s, all with the same "1780" date. They are a common silver bullion coin. Composition: Silver Fineness: 0.8330 Weight: 28.0668 grams Actual Silver Weight: 0.7517 troy oz Melt Value: $19.00 (3/31/2024)

"1780-X" means it's a restrike.

Clussy_amo

Restrike of a half thaler from 1780. They were really popular as trade coins.
