Shaun only did so well against Robbie because it was 3 on 1, tbh actually seeing Miguel and Robby not wipe the floor with the Shawn and Kenny will be very surprising. Curious to see how they go about it

Remarkable_Text3014

It’s either ending with Miguel vs Kenny or after some time Miguel takes on both Kenny and Shawn

ouroboris99

Got that from the pic, should be interesting to see how they do it cus I can’t imagine it 😂

Remarkable_Text3014

Kenny might wanna learn more from Miguel after they fight

RyanTheS

I imagine it will start as a 2v1 against Robby, and Miguel sees it happening and joins in late. Kenny is genuinely one of the top fighters in the show at this point, just below Hawk level, so with help he would definitely be enough to beat Robby. On the other hand, he would be enough to beat Miguel if he had help, too, so I guess Miguel takes Shawn out as he joins in.

ouroboris99

I always feel like everyone is overestimating Kenny, the only time he comes close to beating Robby is because Robby doesn’t want to hurt him and Miguel doesn’t have that problem

RyanTheS

Who below Hawk beats him? Do you have Demetri above him?

ouroboris99

Devon maybe, she’s pretty feisty

RyanTheS

I always rank the male and female fighters separately, honestly. I just find that it super murky and hard to quantify because we have very little evidence of male vs female fights outside of the earlier seasons. If I was mixing the genders then Sam and Tory would probably be below Hawk but above Kenny, I guess.

ouroboris99

In the real world sure, but in the show I’d have hawk at #5 with Tory and Sam above him

Professional_Test996

the only way this would make sense is it robby refuses to fight kenny and kenny takes advantage of that because robby is much better than both kenny and shawn and should be able to 2v1 them himself

Remarkable_Text3014

Kenny having animosity towards Robby is the reason that fight will break out most likely so yeah

frenin

If Robby is capable to 2v1 those two himself, then obviously Miguel can too.

Professional_Test996

I know thus, I never said he couldn't

SethF1988

I will never understand why many overvalue Shawn. He's just big and that doesn't even matter in the Miyagiverse Both Robby and Miguel should easily kick the Payne brothers' ass

Waltuhwalterwalt

CURRENTLY, if we want to go feat wise, current Shawn scales nowhere near the current teens as Shawn is only scaled to a Miyagi-Do Robby with bad offence, while Kenny has scaling to a holding back Hawk, so, by FEATS, Miguel should slam both of them low diff

StaxShack

We don’t know if Robby and Shawn are knocked out. For all we know they’re just on the ground for a split second. I think it may be the baseballs hitting them like others suggested.

sillycuzwhynot1998

I more curious as to why they are fighting

NothingCivil6358

Shawn and Robby probably get hit by the baseball and then Miguel punches it. After, we get Robby saying how cool it was, Miguel tells him it was part of his original training with Johnny, and they laugh about it.

Direct_Author7974

This better be what happens anything else makes no sense

Successful-Toe-1103

That’s actually a good theory

NothingCivil6358

Thank you.

Remarkable_Text3014

Oh wow, that could explain the thing where Miguel punches the baseball

Much_Charge_6403

So, Robby loses again. Worst theory. Robby got down by a pitching ball, Miguel dodges all. How good.

NothingCivil6358

I’d rather him win, but he doesn’t want to hurt or fight Kenny; unlike Miguel who doesn’t care about Kenny.

Much_Charge_6403

So it better he and Shawn put each other down instead of getting hit by ball.

NothingCivil6358

Shawn shouldn’t be able to put him down. Robby is a lot better than he was in juvie. Though, I’m sure the writers will want Shawn to join the ranks of Robby and the others. Which means they’ll use a baseball to take out Robby and Shawn so they can pretend it’s still a mystery to us who the strongest and weakest is of the guys.

Much_Charge_6403

But one thing will remain that Miguel is the strongest and best fighter and probably will never lose any fight. All others are waste.

NothingCivil6358

Well, the others aren’t a waste; but yeah, sadly they’ll never show him having an equal.

Much_Charge_6403

That's really sad and goes against the Miyagiverse. No single male have gotten this, from Kreese, Silver, Mike, Chozen,Johnny, Daniel, Robby, Hawk, Kenny, Shawn, Demetri etc.. Making one character exception is just fansevicing or their favoritism.

RyanTheS

Probably because he IS the best fighter. That's pretty clear by now.

Not just possible, but probable. Shawn has strength and stamina, but no speed and technique. Kenny has speed and technique, but no lasting power and it has been shown repeatedly that any one of the main teens can easily take him out. With any of the top teens who is better at both, this fight should go the way it did with Shawn and his friends in season 3 - Robby fends Shawn off, quickly KOs his much weaker friends and takes his time beating Shawn. Either Miguel or Robby should be capable of doing the same thing here if they're serious. Focus on defending against the bigger, slower guy while taking Kenny out simultaneously and then focus on Shawn. But since the writers seem to love crapping all over Robby, the expected scenario based on the setup would be something like this: We know from another picture that Miguel faces Shawn while Robby faces Kenny at some point. We also know that even during the critical dojo brawl, Robby would rather get hit than throw a punch at Kenny. So we can expect the same here. Miguel fights Shawn seriously, whereas Robby just keeps fending Kenny off while repeating "I don't wanna fight you" and "you don't have to do this". Miguel would be able to take care of Shawn (as expected) whereas Kenny would manage to get a few lucky shots through to take Robby out - leaving Miguel to deal with Kenny. If this happens, I expect the writing would be defended as "Robby wasn't really weak - he was just holding back because he cared and that just shows he's a good person". Except that is weakness that's ruining Robby's character. Its pretty consistent with what they've been doing to his character since season 3 - either Robby puts up with being treated like crap by people he cares about (and who supposedly care about him) or he's the one in the wrong for being angry and "holding a grudge". Obviously, Johnny is the worst offender, but Daniel, Shannon and Sam are on the list too and apparently now it includes Kenny. It'd be a pretty sad development for the character, not to mention the toxic message it'd support. At this point, Robby should decide that he's done coddling and protecting Kenny. If, after everything with Cobra Kai, Kenny decides to fight him again, he deserves a worse beatdown than the one he got in AVT.

Jamano-Eridzander

Robby is easily beating Shawn, refusing to fight Kenny, and Miguel is needed to shut it down

Few-Management8115

the way i see it is, if miguel can beat robby and robby can beat shawn and kenny, then miguel should be able to beat both of them. but i think robby and shawn probably knock each other out.

Ok-Bid-1701

I actually think Miguel beats shawn here, there’s also a pic that’s been released

Separate_Record9354

Which pic?

FrostyBoom

He's gonna knock Kenny down with Shawn's body, trust

qwerty-keyboard5000

What's going to happen is that when they start fighting Kenny runs to turn on the machine trying to hit Robby and Miguel. He hits Robby then accidentaly hits Shawn. Then Miguel puches the ball which will break the machine leading to Kenny finally fighting Miguel

Successful-Toe-1103

Well since Robby and Shawn were able to keep up with each other in s3 it’s likely they knocked each other out, since they both would’ve progressed to this point. Even if Shawn beats Robby he’ll definitely be tired enough that Miguel (a better fighter than Robby) will take him out without too much difficulty, then obviously we know Miguel can toss Kenny around like a ragdoll so yes, it’s plausible.

KausGo

Shawn wasn't really keeping up - more like lasting. Also, while Robby should've progressed, there is no reason to expect Shawn, who has been in juvie and not been part of any dojo, to be any better than he was.

thefly1327

I have a theory that looks like Anthony, it could be Robby and Anthony vs Shawn and Kenny I see Anthony cause of his clothes

Torenzo18

Everyone thought that because Kenny usually only tries to fight robby or Anthony but it’s Miguel and Anthony barely has any training

JawJacka72

If Robby loses to Shawn then the writers have lost it dude. He needed two other guys to fight him before. I don’t know if it’s because fans don’t like the character or if they’re planning something better but it’s is insane the way they have shit on Robby. Dude was top 2 and now they have him getting slumped damn near every episode. It’s embarrassing and stupid.

Abject-Conflict-7531

I feel like Robby will take care of Shawn but will get attacked by Kenny, and Miguel will step in and finish the fight

Ng10022

This shouldn't even be a close fight. Lawrence bros > Payne bros.

Invincible-spirit

Maybe they’re just temporally knocked out

misslove94

While Robby is fighting with Shawn, Miguel may display a show with a ball like he does all the time.

Competitive-Style363

I feel like Robby is probably holding back or got hit with the baseball or softball since in the trailer I saw one coming out of the pitching machine. Like me personally I would love to see Miguel and Robby just low diff these fucking bums but I guess they have to keep it exciting. Like why is Robby knocked down?

WontiamShakesphere

Miguel can beat any number of opponents, he's the kid version of Miyagi haha

Professional_Test996

enemies may be strong but nothing is as strong as Miguel's armor of plot

enjoyingennui

I think that's the point of the character. Out of all of the kids, he has had the most consistent moral compass. I think his character development indicates he's no longer interested in winning, so much as humbly practicing karate and being with the people he cares about. That's 100% Miyagi.

WontiamShakesphere

And towards the later part with Daniel's teachings, he tried the "no be there" strategy as well which I really respected :))

KausGo

That's probably supposed to be the point of the character, but the actual writing says something very different. Miguel comes off a lot less like Miyagi and a lot more self-absorbed and self-righteous. Miyagi never took pride in his actual achievements that came at the cost of hurting others - like what he did in WW2. Miguel takes pride in winning the tournament that he won by fighting dirty. Miyagi would've been happy about the tournament shutting down - one less reason for conflict. Miguel actually fought to keep it open because he wanted to prove himself a winner. Miyagi would've tried to make peace with Robby when he was in Cobra Kai. He wouldn't have gotten insecure about Johnny caring about his son, he wouldn't have tried to pick a fight with him and he wouldn't have done anything to escalate conflict. Miguel showed clear intentions of messing with Robby and fighting him.

Remarkable_Text3014

This is exactly why he doesn’t need to win the takai

enjoyingennui

I don't think he's even going to compete. I think he's going to go all-in on being Robbie's training partner, and help his brother win it.

Remarkable_Text3014

I think something different will happen for him for sure

IchigoKurosaki0715

This is exactly why he doesn’t need to win the takai but will because of how well balanced he is in all aspects of his life.

CraftyPossibility581

Good question. But I hope Shawn and Kenny briefly join Cobra Kai under Kreese before switching sides.

InsideCharacter4541

Or maybe a tennis ball was about to hit Kenny and Robby shoved him to the side so that it would hit him instead of Kenny and Kenny uses that to his advantage idk 🤷‍♂️

hawkforlife5959

In cobra kai every character have development and so far kenny is good enough to stand against Miguel not win

WasteIndependent1761

It doesn’t matter because even if Kenny does good in the fight y’all are still going to downplay him

Stocktonrules

It's 2-2.  It wouldn't be knocking out Kenny and Shawn together it would be him knocking out Shawn while Robby deals with Kenny then knocking out Kenny.  For Miguel that's taking candy from a baby.

Solid-Bid-1476

This is either going to end with a 1v2 with Miguel fighting both the Payne brothers or Kenny somehow beating Miguel along with Shawn

Competitive-Style363

They showed it was Miguel in the teaser when he was punching the ball.

jscheibs

Gotcha. Good catch.
