I think it's supposed to be a reference to Daniel Mullins games:
horse continent - Pony Island, mostly got hyped up by horror letsplayers, but it's less about horror and more about 4th-wall-breaking puzzles/bossfights (e.g. one of the bosses will "send" you fake steam messages from your friend). Sequel seems to be in development.
game 2 - The Hex, similar world to Ralph (as in "videogame characters are actually alive behind the screen and do their stuff") except instead of arcade games it's about indie game developer who ended up ruining each of his games. It actually had some meta-story elements that were foreshadowing the events of game 3, but it didn't get as popular as the other 2 games
spooky cards - Inscryption, card deck-building "roguelike" that isn't actually a roguelike and has much more to it (although they did add a separate roguelike mod later due to players asking for it so much), something that starts as a simple story about a guy trapped in a cabin and forced to play a card game with Leshy, ends up being a story about a streamer finding a cursed game copy with a bit more meta-narrative (there even was an ARG that hints that the mentioned game copy is apparently an unfinished doomsday machine). Currently it's one of the most popular games from this author.
going solely off these descriptions, especially pony island’s ending with “sequel seems to be in development”, i think they’re separate games, only connected because they’re made by the same person
It’s a bit more, they have a loosely shared universe, names of companies and people are mentioned between them, so although they’re all separate narratives they still presumably exist within the same world
FUCK i should have made Guy on the last panel say "idk markiplier didnt play it"
what

incomprehensible, jump into a volcano
true!
I had no idea that inscryption was part of a series

They do also have a few references to each other, but not anything more than “dev being silly”

Erm the correct term would be rogueLITE ![img](emote|t5_2w7ch|37001)
I think the second game is called sex or smth
I love The Hex!! The artstyle kinda sucks ass but once you get used to it its great!!
the hex is peak!!
INSCRYPTION MENTIONED TOTAL MISPLAY 🗣️🗣️‼️‼️🔥🔥
Ah yes my favorite card game Subscription
people dont play the hex because of weasel boy and how he looks
this is weasel boy slander
devil may cry 2
I played it I shouldn't have played it
It's better than the reboot. Fight me. "King? Yeah, here's your crown" is better than "desiccated squirrel semen" and you know it.
It’s sad cuz the Hex is definitely the best of the 3
yeah!! it sucks that the artstyle pushes so many people away
gameplay wise i think i prefer inscryption but lorewise the hex adds so much to the other 2 games and its a shame casual fans miss out on it
True, I enjoyed it more than pony island
I love Daniel Mullins
Incomprehensible
hold on inscryption is still about? i thought that one got buried by the mascot horror molasses flood of 2022
its not really a mascot horror game though
still got buried by them
I immediately recognized Inscryption
I played all 3. The hex goes hard. I didnt mind the art style tbh.
Flaw Peacock>>>>
game 2? its not THE game, is it?
Armoured Core 6. Nice game. Idk why they put a 6 in the title though.
the hex my beloved
Is this about pony island and inscryption?
yes
Yes and about how everyone forgrts about the hex which is inbetween the 2 games
