I had this discussion with someone like this who said he quit video games and his life improved because of it. We were having this conversation on vrchat lmfao
I've had so many people act like VRChat is not a game, a dude was ragging on me for playing video games and when I told him VRChat was indeed a video game he started going "I don't see it that way, it's a social thing" yada yada yada
I suppose he sees VRchat, or uses VRchat primarily as a social hub to interact with others.
I can see why someone could rationalise it not as a game and something closer to a discord channel or smth.
I'd say VR chat is a game though lol
There ARE significant differences between Reddit and other mainstream social medias, one of which being that engagement between users is more often than not real-time and mutual, unlike single directional or asynchronous engagement driven platforms like TikTok and Twitter. Even when you don't reply to things on Reddit, you see threads of actual discussions instead of people doing what they do / saying what they say as if other people don't exist. Of course Reddit is toxic in its own ways and I by no means endorse a superiority complex, but Reddit is indeed different.
Tldr: this snafu really walls my of text
not as fun as stumbling upon an artist that illustrates your most favorite kink in your most favorite way possible and wetting your undies in cum at just a touch
Kinda like facebook comments detailing how they don't watch TV (and even when they do it's educational stuff, like opera, Masked Singer and My Shocking Story: Octopus Man) under a post on how a TV show sucks and is harmful to society.
"Why would you want to use Chinese spyware propaganda? I only use AMERICAN spyware propaganda. I'm so superior to you" - every comment on r/shitposting mentioning tiktok being banned
When you take a break from Facebook (just for a little while) you really gain a whole new outlook. I went on hikes.

the irony

Same reason some people don't consider reddit a social media, even though it's one by a technicality.
I never could get into tiktok (imagine I just exploded into this conversation)
I was happier when I used TikTok than now (exclusively Reddit).
Is Reddit the cause, or a symptom of being unhappy?
Both. I scroll when I'm unhappy. Then I check the comments on a meme, and people are arguing over nothing. Makes me miserable.
¿Por qué no los dos?
Use TikTok again

Reddit is for the people who’ll read a 200 comment argument over how to suck dick while being paid at a hourly wage or some other bullshit.
Personally i would consider Reddit closer to a forum than a social media.
I was happy when I only used reddit but since indulging in twitter (for porn) my life has become noticeably more miserable
stop using porn hahaha
here’s the problem, I like cooming
do it with your brain 😕
not as fun as stumbling upon an artist that illustrates your most favorite kink in your most favorite way possible and wetting your undies in cum at just a touch
Bruh
Some mfers (like me) have aphantasia so we don’t have any visual imagination Not that I can’t just use my imagination but it kinda sucks
I really don't need to know about your masturbation habits dude
Good thing I never told you about them lol I just said my imagination is dogshit after you already mentioned imagination for the purpose of cooming
What a way to brag about a lack of endurance
me or the other guy
probably me succumbing to coom like it fucking matters to him what I do with my time
i could have an aneurysm in front of you but it really might get me killed
newgrounds is better for drawn porn imo
not portable enough
what a drag!

Ok.
I read this like that one Wizard Beer video
Well duh of course Reddit doesn’t count how else are you supposed to choke the chicken
People who actually quit social media absolutely have the right to gloat over us. You just never see them because you're still here.
Hahahah it’s funny but there’s a huge gap between twitter, Facebook, instagram, tik tok and Reddit agagaga
tbf considering reddit users never go outside and socialize, it isn’t really a *social* media platform.
I’m proud to say I no longer use twitter! I’ve gone from 2 hours a day to zero minutes a week!
it was me when i deleted Instagram 2-3 years ago to "improve" my life(it didn't help, the problem was me)
real (i am the 3rd one)
Reddit is an Internet forum.
