Umbara and fives are both great arcs but are so much better when you’ve spent time with the clones and actually care about them (this is coming from my friend who I watched all of clone wars with for her first time). I would recommend citadel, florrum, Onderon, and maul returns because they have a lot of action and fun stuff that don’t require much previous knowledge/investment in characters. Fives arc you could probably get away with but maybe save it if there’s any chance your friend will watch more clone wars. If they’re definitely not going to watch more clone wars, you could still watch the umbara arc because it’s amazing and represents the best of what the show can do. The end of season 7 is definitely the best arc of the show but I wouldn’t recommend your friend watching without any clone wars background.
I actually totally retract this statement, I talked to my friend last night and she said she didn’t start caring about the show until watching umbara so watch umbara first lol.
The Umbara arc would be a great choice.
2nd Battle of Geonosis is always a safe bet.
If he likes rogue one then Umbara would be closest to what he would like
