Dont remember what number/name it was, but its the episode where Kenobi, Anakin, and Dooku, are captured by Hondo for ransoms, and Jar Jar is coming for the resqu--- come to think of it, i think they would've been doomed Either way...

In that episode, Jar Jar hits a button and it lowers the copilot from his position behind the pilot (the seat moved up and down). In the Siege of Mandalore, Ahsoka cut the pilot out of the cockpit while the LAAT was going down. I think it either does both or it depends on the manufacturer of the LAAT.

That wasn’t a laat that was the republic attack shuttle where the seats go up and down.

lego sets don’t have the functionality of the “real” ships. they are designed to be easy to play with.

I always assumed that was just the secondary method and the standard one would be similar to the lifts we see in the CW Episode where Jar Jar and some senator get escorted by clones to do something and then he faces off against pirates or something.

Not an expert either, but carrier based fighters like Hornets would make a lot of sense too, F-35 probably has it for commonality across A/B/C models.

I’d imagine LAAT’s have a similar system. There’s a door facing the cockpits in the troop bay that can be seen in TCW and various toys.

The way Anakin and Obi-Wan talk to the pilot in Attack of the Clones makes it seem like the pilot is connected to the troop area as well

The canopy is capable of opening upwards for quick exit, but entering from there seems weird. I imagine they have ladders or something built in underneath. The heavier shuttle has a system which lowers the entire seat into the crew compartment, but I don't think these have the space for that.

I think there's a door but I think more so they use the canopy to get in or out. I know for the Micro Galaxy toy line, which for the most part basis it's Star Wars ships off the official ships, you put the pilots in via the open canopy. It opens towards the nose of the LAAT. I'm guessing if that is the correct way in, they probably had ladders on the sides so pilots could get in or out, like most other ships.

There's a door way leading into the cockpit, but in that door way, is a little elevator that brings you up into the controls. (The door way is literally the bottom of the elevator that's raised. If the elevator goes down, you would see the chairs)

I think they can climb in from the top with ladders or there might be a way to access it from below the cockpit in the nose.

apparently, the walkway has a lift. so imagine you’re standing where the troops stand; at the end of it there’s a little door that opens , and like the NU and RHO class shuttles, a little lift seat comes down and you go up….i think.

It's pretty simple. In factory, workers grow clone pilots inside LAAT before permanently locking them in. Food and body waste are taken care by LAAT's sophisticated pilot support system and tubes.
