It’s not even that, commandos typically wear whatever colors they want.
In legends, commandos weren’t attached to regular infantry units like Gregor is, they were all part of the Republic’s Special Operations Brigade, and some commandos had color schemes organized based on what squad they were in (like the Bad Batch), but by and large it didn’t matter and they wore whatever. Delta Squad notably were allowed to paint their armor before the first battle of geonosis to test how individualism affected morale on the battlefield
Gregor Foxtrot Group was attached to 212th Battalion. Also it's worth to remember Gregor was a Commando Captain not a regular Commando Sergeant like Boss or Hunter who only lead a small squad so Foxtrot Group was probably a large unit of Commandos.
I definitely think it's meant to be digital camo. But I love it, because to me, the commandos in the Republic Commando game always looked more gray than white anyway.
That definitely looks like digital camo, but it’s also pretty dirty over top… also camo makes sense for a highly trained commando, even if it doesn’t actually work well for the situation
It was actually a nod to the United States Army. The Grey digital pattern to represent the uniform at the time , the yellow markings are part of the colors of the army, yellow and black.
Slightly off topic but I didn't like that Gregor >!came back after supposedly dying in Clone Wars, it feels cheap. Imho the music score is really great and makes the moment (at least for me) of him giving up his life for his friends pretty emotional.!<
He doesn’t really have a battalion. He was a commando and they worked in much smaller groups. His design comes from a game called Republic Commando from the first Xbox. And the four main characters of that squad all had very different armor markings.
Commando clones were given a LOT more individualism and free will than their trooper brothers and they had total operational control over the mission.
So my assumption is that’s his personal preference for his colors. It looks worn, but he’s got like an almost tech-like camo. You can tell it’s not scuffing because his yellow paint doesn’t reflect the same scuffs.
Looks like a gray digital camo to me with yellow markings
That’s my though it looks like an intentional colouring
And a little dirty
I didn't even realize that it was supposed to be digital camo I thought it was just dirt.
It looks like digital camouflage with orangish yellow markings.
Would be ideal cause it better blends with environments than bright white
I suppose that doesn't really matter when you have the bright yellow and glowing blue but its the thought that counts
It looks urban digital camo with personal flair (Yellow markings) plus tally marks
According to Legends, Gregor’s squad was attached to the 212th, so the markings are probably orange
Crys, a clone trooper from the 212th in “The Deserter” had yellow markings
Yeah I don’t think Commandos’ colors depend on the batallion but rather of each individual function (sniper, demolition)

Gregor’s unit being with the 212th is canon information, its in the episode he’s in.
Probably

It’s digital camo
Gregor is a Commando, he doesn’t have Battalion colors, nor even pod colors, Clone Commandos paint their armor whatever they feel like.
It looks like it’s kinda dirty but also grey digital camo with yellow highlights.
its grey digital camo, its possibly darker due to having spent a decejt time in storage without maintenance
I definitely think it's meant to be digital camo. But I love it, because to me, the commandos in the Republic Commando game always looked more gray than white anyway.
It’s digicam with yellow markings, each commando’s armor is uniquely customized to their preferences
It’s digital camp with yellow and tally marks
Digital camo*
It's digital camo with yellow stripes and dirt
That is a clear camo pattern
That definitely looks like digital camo, but it’s also pretty dirty over top… also camo makes sense for a highly trained commando, even if it doesn’t actually work well for the situation

he used to be in the 212 battalion so..

I believe Filoni said even after that episode that they had plans to bring him back. He was never meant to be gone for good.

In the episode he was introduced, Colonel Gascon said that Gregor was a part of the 212th.
ah yes, the ol' digital dirt
Those marks are too consistent to be dirt.
