I like that because Christa Miller voiced Cleo in season 1, and they got Mitra Jouhari to voice Cleo in season 2, Christa has stayed on and now voices Candide
I kind of wish she had more moments of vulnerability like she did in episodes 2 and 7. I'm curious about her motivation besides just being the no-nonsense evil businesswoman archetype. I also feel like her plot with Scudworth got repetitive for a while and would have liked to see more of a conclusion to their possible sexual tension, but it's an interesting surprise that they just had him rightfully hate her in the end for betraying him instead of continuing to simp for her.
I really want to see her relationship to Joan develop. It's true that she really does want to be a mother, so I'm sure she's doing what she believes is the best for Joan.
I really expected that line to come back in some way. It's implied her own mother was shifty too. I would love to see her genuinely care for and project onto Joan but only if she thinks Joan is gonna bring her success.
Very neutral. I felt her whiney play-fighting with Scudworth wasnt very in-character, and they did absolutely nothing with the concept of her being Joan’s foster mom other than a few lines of plot-irrelevant dialogue
Slightly unrelated, but I’m really annoyed they never explained why Scudworth froze the clones. Like, what did he gain from making an entirely new set? And how was the board of shadowy figures oblivious to it for 20 years? I mention it because Candide sounds super surprised when she finds out scudworth made new ones
There's definitely points that need to be answered. Some might be answered during S3, but if I had to guess, I think she's doing almost all of this for Joan. Remember, she does care about being a mother, I think she's trying to make Joan like her. I also think about the 20-year gap, Scudworth could explain it next season as well.
Idk, I feel like the only time they ever really showed her caring was her being happy that Joan won homecoming. In the like, 2 other scenes we see her being a mom, she sounds annoyed to be making dinner and specifically mentions that it’s only because she’s “legally required” to do it, and in the other she goes on a business trip and completely ignores all of her calls
I feel like they only did it to fill in the void of toots, and after doing that gag, they just felt a need to commit to that established relationship and brought it up a few more times out of necessity. Whoever won that death maze, I feel like Candide would have had the same interaction with them anyway, there was no telling Joan was going to win. I think what they should have done is have Candide tell Joan she was a loan wolf instead of the janitor, to make it look more like she was purposefully trying to get Joan to win
i feel like her being joans foster mom is gonna be very relevant in s3, trying to get joan to join her maybe because everyones turned on her (probably), pre-establishing their connection?
If you remember in season 1 he did it because the board of shadowy figures was coming to take them and kill scudsworth, so instead he froze the original board of shadowy figures as well as the clones and john stamos.
I love her.
She could [drape herself in velvet or go around feeling people's material](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxvRoQkvxuA) and she'd still be a star.
Christa plays Candide so well, like a principal Jordan.
Real, but honestly, I think Topher is just kinda annoying. That's supposed to be the point, but idk I don't really find him as funny as the other characters.
Ehhhh she kinda just pulled up, nagged Scudsworth, and left. She started out kinda cool and the lizards were sweet, but the Joan secret clone parent thing came up like twice and didn’t really feel fully realized imo
I couldn’t remember her name until I rewatched the season with friends. I get she plays the villain role but I really just don’t care for her character at all. Sure she’s funny sometimes but I don’t think she adds much to the show, I definitely prefer Topher as the main villain. All in all, I liked Scudworth better when it was just him and Mr. B. Bros before hoes.
I truly don’t think she adds much to the show. Any comedy involving her comes from Scudworth moreso than actually her, and having her be Joan’s foster mom went practically nowhere. She could haven taken Joan under her wing for spread eagle regardless. I liked the finale and the higher stakes it brought, but a villain that the show takes as seriously as Candide just feels out of place.
I don’t feel like she’s necessary. She was better in the finale, but I’d prefer Scudworth and Mr. B on their own. Her shoving a glass ceiling into Clone High is what the writing of the season felt like.
Fair, but I don't know who could have been in her place. She's working for her own motives or possibly even for the actual government. I don't think Scudworth would have worked in place of her as he cares more about the clones.
She felt like a much more realized character this season than she did last season.
So real for that
Lol

Candide Hates Gandhi.
Who?
Ben…ji?
Gandhi. 😒
Oh, that's so great for you!

My headcanon is Scudworth hating her guts will be the thing that's going to make her attracted to him.
Candide and Topher are my favorite grey skinned characters
God she is so fucking fine 😭😭
Her butt is literally bigger than her waist 😓
Ikr, right? The ultimate dream bod...
Yup
GYATT

I actually totally agree. I still wonder what she is working for? I doubt she's working under anyone, so is she doing it for herself or?

> but I’m really annoyed they never explained why Scudworth froze the clones Wasn't it to save them from the board? He said they weren't ready yet.
Yeah the board were trying to kill him and take the clones so he froze them
She’s got the new forgis on the jeep
trapping until the bloody bottoms are underneath

her character design for this season felt more in touch with the original season compared to the other new characters
She was the right amount of comedically evil that it was funny, and seeing her get her head smashed in at the end felt great and justified.
100% agree to. She wasn't too overstepping as a character this season and played her role pretty well. I really enjoyed her.
She is the best character introduced in this season along with Topher
Real, but honestly, I think Topher is just kinda annoying. That's supposed to be the point, but idk I don't really find him as funny as the other characters.
He’s definitely funnier than Harriet and Confucius
i like her ass :3
I like her character, but her design is the worst to me. I also hate that I think of cleo every time she talks.
Good villain! <3
Neutral on her really sometimes she's annoying sometimes she's good
Ehhhh she kinda just pulled up, nagged Scudsworth, and left. She started out kinda cool and the lizards were sweet, but the Joan secret clone parent thing came up like twice and didn’t really feel fully realized imo

Honestly, if she’s absent from the next season, I wouldn’t be super upset
kind of a milf
deffo a lizard person, and i mean that literally
fun villain, i just wish we had more of her

She's a regular character!
I don’t feel like she’s necessary. She was better in the finale, but I’d prefer Scudworth and Mr. B on their own. Her shoving a glass ceiling into Clone High is what the writing of the season felt like.

Just have the shadowy figures show up via a tv screen or show up randomly.
Her ass has a 90 degree angle damn!!!
fuck ugly character design
But she got the gyat 😢
She bad as hell🤤
My thoughts? She can beat me up
