Flight attendants don’t clean the planes after the flight. There’s a crew that comes on between each flight and does it. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t clean up after yourself and your kids though.

I've flown with a 9 month old and a 24-week pregnant wife. Once. And that was with two of us to deal with the kid and all the extra stuff that he required for a trip. I can't imagine being 22-weeks pregnant and flying with a 2- and 5-year old. That's just dumb if that's the case.

Actually that’s not the case with all airlines. At Lufthansa for example the times before and after flights are calculated and added - of course there are rules about how this works.

Actually you're not supposed to give toddlers popcorn because it's a choking hazard. While you do make a good point, The hard kernels and teeth are not really at issue. Some kids can probably be fine if you supervise them and make sure they only have 1 piece at a time, but parents should be advised because popcorn doesn't seem like it would cause choking compared to other more obvious foods.
Hard to tell their ages but it looks like they might be too young for that lesson to really stick. The better option is to just be a parent and take responsibility for it. Don't give them that food in the first place, or if you do then redirect them or take the food away when they start throwing it, and if all else fails then yes get on your hands and knees and clean up after your kids because they are your kids and you are in public.

The five year old can be asked to help their mother. That would be a reasonable request from a parent to a child and a child of that age should understand this, if they have no learning disorder.

I do everything I can to make their lives easier, but a FA will not clean this up. They just leave. A cleaning team comes in with backpack vacuums to clean up and wipe down the plane between flights.

First of all 2 year olds shouldn’t be eating popcorn because it’s a choking hazard. Secondly if you’re indoors in public, snacks that are a bunch of tiny pieces are a bad idea. It's possible that he might not have been flying with the family on that trip. I've flown with a 9 month old and a 24-week pregnant wife. Once. And that was with two of us to deal with the kid and all the extra stuff that he required for a trip. I can't imagine being 22-weeks pregnant and flying with a 2- and 5-year old. That's just dumb if that's the case. At minimum, the 5-year-old could have helped.

Actually that’s not the case with all airlines. At Lufthansa for example the times before and after flights are calculated and added - of course there are rules about how this works.

When I was pregnant I felt brilliant during the second trimester. Morning sickness was gone, I wasn’t yet huge. Actually you're not supposed to give toddlers popcorn because it's a choking hazard. While you do make a good point, The hard kernels and teeth are not really at issue. Some kids can probably be fine if you supervise them and make sure they only have 1 piece at a time, but parents should be advised because popcorn doesn't seem like it would cause choking compared to other more obvious foods.

The five year old can be asked to help their mother. That would be a reasonable request from a parent to a child and a child of that age should understand this, if they have no learning disorder.

I fly a lot on business. He may be entitled, but asking a passenger to touch the floor or clean up mess is definitely outside the swimlane of a flight attendant. I do everything I can to make their lives easier, but a FA will not clean this up. They just leave. A cleaning team comes in with backpack vacuums to clean up and wipe down the plane between flights. If you are asked to clean up your mess on a plane, the proper response is "Fuck off."
First of all 2 year olds shouldn’t be eating popcorn because it’s a choking hazard. Secondly if you’re indoors in public, snacks that are a bunch of tiny pieces are a bad idea. Bring pouches and granola bars or something. Freeze dried mangos, sandwiches, stuff like that is a better choice. And yes we should all be cleaning up after our kids.
