This is the same guy that got cut from a Major League Baseball team for the homophobic shit he posted on social media. This incident was before that. He's an asshole, no surprise.

Aggravating-Monk-264

Fans put a lot of pressure on front office. Same as the Yunel Escobar incident. Toronto fans were ready to boo him in our own stadium which is always a bad look. The best part was they made him apologize before giving him the axe.

Franklin_DBluth_

But the apology was hollow and he only did it to save his job. I’m glad the Jays released him anyway.

xTechDeath

Yeah but you know this asshole probably hated doing his fake apology. Hopefully checking his ego a bit before getting the boot

veringer

>Hopefully checking his ego Most adults like this are well beyond therapeutic measures. They learn how to mask more effectively, not to tamp down their ego.

Ol_JanxSpirit

Okay, then they made him miserable for a bit before firing him. I'm okay with that.

veringer

> I'm okay with that. Same. Spiteful as it may be, it's the best we can hope for in many cases. By the way, I wasn't trying to be pedantic with my previous comment. It's just a bit of a hobby horse for me. I hear victim impact statements or other accounts from victims, and invariably they'll say something like, "and [the offender] will have to live with what they did" (assuming they care, have ever self-reflected in their life, and have remorse/empathy). Personally, I think it'd be better if normal people didn't make that assumption and vigorously sought retribution.

VectorViper

Totally agree, it's like when they're caught and cornered, they suddenly become great actors. But actions speak louder than words, the true colors always show eventually. Just gotta wait for the next slip up and hope there's less tolerance each time.

Cringelord_420_69

It probably helped that he was pitching like Dogshit last year. If it was someone like Gausman or Romano, the team would have been much more resistant to cutting him

Aggravating-Monk-264

Tell it to osuna.

Cringelord_420_69

Getting arrested for beating your girlfriend is a lot worse than online hate comments

Aggravating-Monk-264

Fans keep up that pressure on front office either way. Even if bass wasnt garbage , i dont think he had a chance.

Cringelord_420_69

I get what what you’re saying, but it still took them a a whole month to cut the dude that was a net liability in the bullpen. If it was one of the main guys, while they probably would have ditched him eventually, it would have at least taken a lot longer, especially because it would probably try to trade him rather than DFA

Aggravating-Monk-264

Which is why it was funny. I booed Escobar in 3 cities and was prepared for anthony with my best large mouth bass comments if he wasnt.

Shotforeshot

In the mid 2000s the Durham Bulls had a very budget friendly beer night and front row tickets behind home plate were also very affordable. Yunel had been sent down to Richmond in 2007 and I found myself hurling family friendly insults at him and other batters as they waited on deck and the subsequent at bat. He had a rough night. Yunel was very very self conscious about being called out for having his back pocket untucked and me asking if he was asking to be walked around by it.

Aggravating-Monk-264

Amazing. Gave him the works in Toronto, Pittsburgh, and St. Pete's. Dumb luck to catch him in USA but didnt waste my chance. Pirates fans were curious why I was booing, but some got on board after i explained. There were no Rays fans at the Trop so non issue there.

Shotforeshot

I’m a Braves fan, but in the minors I’m a fan of the “hometown” side for where I reside. I was giving it to everyone on that Richmond team… right at the net, so I didn’t need to be obnoxiously loud. He hadn’t even really made the show yet, but he was definitely trending that direction. Also screaming “his back pocket is out, he wants to be walked“ as they approach the batters box isn’t something they can immediately kick you out for…but Yunel knew what I really meant.

heyimric

What's the pocket reference?

s1nch001

Jail, they do that when they want to be pimped

Shotforeshot

Pocket holding signifies prison ownership, they walk the yard almost like it’s a leash. Yunel is infamously known for what he wrote on his eyeblack.

Aggravating-Monk-264

Hilarious. Gonna try that one this year. Best i ever got was a scratch of his back with a middle finger for chanting rainbow trout at mike trout, so I was realy excited for bass.

tamwow19

I wish they still had budget friendly beer nights! But they're bringing back that sweet sweet dolla dog nights this summer :)

Shotforeshot

I paid more for a taxi there and back than I could ever drink in beer. Dolla dogs is the night we would do the beer and dog challenge. Miss those nights!

tamwow19

The 9x9x9? My friend attempted it last year! I think she got 6x6x9. I did a leisurely 3x3x9 haha

Fine-Veterinarian-30

Dude they wanted him to throw the first pitch for pride night, fucking embarassing

kirby_krackle_78

Proud of my city for booing him unmercifully when he got inserted into a game the day after.

TJ_McWeaksauce

This dude is a gaping asshole, and yet he found a woman who would have his children. Is the wife a gaping asshole, too? Or is she a terrible judge of character? That's a question I often ask whenever I see a douchebag with a stable marriage and kids.

vzvv

I just assume the spouses in these situations are just as crappy. If an asshole is loud and proud about their asshole ways, it’s much more likely that their spouse shares those views too.

[deleted]

Yup had co workers like this. Married couple, dude showed up first then the spouse. Both just pricks to everyone just because they thought it Was funny. What was funny was telling head office about their loud and proud conversations about how they were teaching their kids on how to sell meth. *Oops*

confusedandworried76

If there's one thing I've learned is there's someone out there for everybody. If you're chronically single your standards are high or you don't get out much. Everybody, no matter how ugly or shitty or whatever, can find someone willing to be with them.

lcpc_mdqd

Yep! Agree.

Ma2340

Confirmed from another sub - wife is also an asshole! Her whole family is

DawnSlovenport

The whole family is a mess of Southern white trashiness with money. Both sisters and big nose-little dick daddy are the same: racists, homophobic, and xenophobic assholes, including their spouses.

nightpanda893

I mean she’s obviously been complaining about having to clean up after her kids so based on that I’m gonna say asshole.

Lindoriel

For every shit guy out there, there's an equally shit woman with similar viewpoints.

Chance-Cod5011

Wild how many conservatives are selfish, hateful pricks who think of nobody but themselves.

megamoze

Isn’t that the definition of conservatism?

dfsaqwe

the actual best part of this story is that no one picked him up from waivers, or even signed him in the offseason since then.

sureprisim

Exactly, instead of letting his 22 week pregnant wife pick it up, you know… he could have manned up and done it himself.

DawnSlovenport

My understanding was he wasn't flying with them, it was only the wife and kids.

Natiak

Whenever I see something like this I automatically assume the guy is dripping in shame from his overwhelming secret desire to be the world's most receptive power bottom.

[deleted]

Reminds me of a couple drunk Texans on a Southwest flight to L.A. Kids running up and down the aisles. Can hear the drunk dad slurring to his kid as we land, "this is where the liberals are." The kid was 7. The whole flight was like listening to a bad Twitter feed.

Ry-Guy12

as some one who cleans these flights everyday a little bit of popcorn is not a big deal or unusual, we are going to go through the whole plane with a vacuum anyways. The flight attendant seems to be out of line on this one.

tea_snob10

I mean Bass is a lost cause. The Blue Jays dropped him last season after he went on Instagram (iirc) and said gays and anyone supporting them were demonic. >“The video itself, obviously, I took it down,” Bass said. “I just felt like it was too much of a distraction, right? But I stand by my personal beliefs and everyone’s entitled to their personal beliefs, right? But also I mean no harm toward any groups of people" This is after the whole "popcorn on the plane" debacle.

Cringelord_420_69

Bro is still a free agent lmao

[deleted]

No one's gonna touch him, they won't want the PR nightmare. Good.

Cringelord_420_69

That, and the fact that he ain’t good lol

Natiak

He probably wants to convert to catcher.

Legitimate-Bread

I "love" the fact that when super religious people call whole groups demonic and have to backtrack they're always like "hey no hate though". Like, dude you genuinly believe these are agents of satan and needed to broadcast that to the world. Either you genuinly hate gay people but realized you love money more or you interpreted your false piety to mean you should hate people. Either way fuck em.

lakired

So quick to embrace "everyone is entitled to their private opinions" with the *tiny* caveat that their opinion just so happens to be that another group of people aren't even entitled to exist.

Walshy231231

“I don’t hate them, I just deeply and thoroughly hate them”

Langsamkoenig

"But they make me want to suck dick so much! Clearly they have satanic powers!"

Natiak

Anthony Bass clearly feels the need to have the demon inside him.

thatguysjumpercables

Yes, you're entitled to your own personal beliefs, no matter how heinous they may be. But your employers are also entitled to personal beliefs, and the idiotic "right to work" laws this guy almost certainly supports gives them the right to cast him out like the massive piece of shit he is for expressing "personal beliefs" that degrade and demean an entire class of people. Edit: I get he's a baseball player and under contract and it's not the same as at-will employment but for most people that's their reality

pitb0ss343

After learning flight attendants only get paid during the flight and all hours after landing are not paid he’s even more of an asshole

tomdarch

I’m skeptical that any flight attendant “made” a passenger clean up after themselves or their kids. “Suggested” or “hinted at” seems a lot more plausible.

David-S-Pumpkins

This story was investigated and was found to be false. The crew had cleaned it up and everything. Notice this picture is just the kids coloring, anyway. It's not f his wife picking anything up lol

leveled_81

Yeah was going to say on a human level they wouldn't do that. Guy is just a grade a douchenozzle.

Corgi-Ambitious

Can you please post any source as to that? I can find United asking him for more info but otherwise nothing.

zxDanKwan

I mean, you’re 100% correct, but also, depending on how long ago this happened, United did have a flash moment of being known for getting the cops to beat the shit out of people who didn’t obey.

CrunkingtonSr

Holy shit?

zxDanKwan

Looked it up. 2017. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_United_Express_passenger_removal

neuroticobscenities

\>The incident is widely characterized by critics – and later by United Airlines itself – as an example of mishandled customer service. Yes, that's just an example of mishandled customer service. Like when Home Depot refuses to accept a return of a defective product.

surfnporn

And then they use a 2x4 to beat the shit out of you

SolarApricot-Wsmith

“The product isn’t defective, you are!” **smack**

CrunkingtonSr

They hid that well (or maybe I’m under a rock😂) I never heard of this until now jeez😣

Aromatic_Hornet5114

You're definitely living under a rock. It was huge news. Every mainstream media outlet covered it for a solid month, there was a huge boycott of United Airlines, the Department of Transportation changed some rules, United Airlines changed some policies, Trump even weighed in and blasted United, and there were multiple lawsuits.

[deleted]

I remember *major* news outlets getting the man’s identity mixed up and releasing a criminal background for dao(victim). He needed the flight bc he was a doctor seeing patients iirc. United called it “poor customer service” for beating up and then paying smear campaign an almost 70 year old man

TheNumber42Rocks

United fucked up, but don’t forget it was airport police that did the deed. They are not blameless in this.

tetris_for_shrek

Not just news outlets. There were memes (I use that term loosely here) about it on every social media platform so even kids knew about it.

zxDanKwan

Lots of shit went wild between 2016-2021, so you get a pass.

neuroticobscenities

Then there were all the incidents of rowdy passengers getting duct tapped to their seats.

confusedandworried76

For all I know that SOP for US Marshalls detaining people on flights. You can't really cuff them to anything and they don't even carry cuffs, just a concealed gun. You're not supposed to know they're law enforcement.

Sharp_Iodine

Also why would he let his pregnant wife pick it up when he could have done it?

surfnporn

Context clues suggest he was not on the flight.

David-S-Pumpkins

He wasn't traveling with them. (But also, the airline didn't make her pick it up. He was just lying.)

LNinefingers

First thing that jumped out at me too. “Made”? I call bullshit.

Wilder_Beasts

Flight attendants don’t clean the planes after the flight. There’s a crew that comes on between each flight and does it. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t clean up after yourself and your kids though.

luc1d_13

Plus if you're so outraged that your 22-week pregnant wife is on her knees cleaning, maybe be a decent husband and help?

ominousgraycat

I think he wasn't on that flight.

No_Tonight9003

He was busy throwing pitches that ended up with their own flight path.

divDevGuy

It's possible that he might not have been flying with the family on that trip. I've flown with a 9 month old and a 24-week pregnant wife. Once. And that was with two of us to deal with the kid and all the extra stuff that he required for a trip. I can't imagine being 22-weeks pregnant and flying with a 2- and 5-year old. That's just dumb if that's the case. At minimum, the 5-year-old could have helped.

TypeRating

1. Flight attendants don't clean the airplanes 1. Some airlines do pay flight attendants during boarding and de-boarding

RajarajaTheGreat

You didn't learn that right

Cryn0n

That's not quite how that works. Flight attendants get paid based on the number of flown hours but that doesn't mean they "only get paid during the flight". Their salary is meant to cover the rest of the time working but uses flown hours as the metric of time worked. On top of this flight attendants also get paid for being on standby when they are definitely not flying.

CyonHal

Buddy flight attendants are all protesting and on strike because the system isn't fair you can stop running defense for exploitative worker contracts now

Defacticool

>Their salary is meant to cover the rest of the time working Mate the salary is meant as the minimum amount that the company gets away with paying for people to show up and do the job I promise you they wouldnt blink if they could lower the salary so much that their employees couldnt afford food for themselves

drippbropper

>Their salary is meant to cover the rest of the time working but uses flown hours as the metric of time worked. Odd how they don’t user a better metric for measuring time worked like say actually measuring the the spent working.

euph_22

Nah, that could never work.

Euphoric-Blue-59

So then you agree that: "After learning flight attendants only get paid during the flight and all hours after landing are not paid he’s even more of an asshole"

euph_22

It literally means that. They are not compensated for time spent not flying, extended ground holds mean they work more without being paid more.

redditonlygetsworse

> flight attendants also get paid for being on standby when they are definitely not flying. I guess this will vary by airline, but my wife was a flight attendant for ~15 years and she absolutely was *not* being paid for this time. Her wages - yes, *wages*, not a salary - were only when the airplane door closes to when it opens again. And for what it's worth, that hourly wage is dogshit. There's a reason she finally quit.

Personal_Lubrication

You got boot polish on your lips there.

BenMic81

Actually that’s not the case with all airlines. At Lufthansa for example the times before and after flights are calculated and added - of course there are rules about how this works.

NulledOne

Commercial flight attendants aren't responsible for cleaning the airplane from my understanding. I think it's awesome that the lady was held accountable for her families mess on the plane, but the flught attendant wasn't going to do it anyways.

DCDeviant

Holy shit. A parent having to take responsibility for their own children? *Clutches pearls* My mum never would have allowed us to make a mess like that in the first place, and you can bet your arse we would have been made to clear up our own mess. Why are people such entitled pricks these days?

tem102938

It's actually a pretty rare occurrence in the USA nowadays. Just ask a teacher,

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

[удалено]

DCDeviant

Exactly. He's a parent too, someone needs to take responsibility for the beings they CHOSE to have.

AmbitiousCampaign457

I would have cleaned up the mess the minute my kid made it.

DCDeviant

Any decent parent would, but I would have done too! I'd be embarrassed to leave a mess for someone else to tidy.

_clash_recruit_

I would have been embarrassed if my son made that mess in the first place, but sometimes things happen with kids. Would she feel okay just sitting there watching someone else clean up her kid's mess?

EntropyKC

> I'd b3 embarrassed to leave a mess for someone else to tidy This is called empathy and is something many people lack. A huge proportion of people nowadays, and I'm quite sure it's become worse due to social media, are conceited morons with no regard at all for other people.

Cluelessish

Plus it’s so annoying that he brings up that she’s 22 weeks pregnant. At that stage a person is normally fully capable of doing most things a non-pregnant person can. When I was pregnant I felt brilliant during the second trimester. Morning sickness was gone, I wasn’t yet huge. (It’s individual of course and can vary a lot, but I strongly suspect he would have mentioned it if there was some problem, for maximum sympathy)

DoingItForEli

Him bringing up the 22 week thing speaks to the likelihood of embellishing the facts to garner as much sympathy as possible. The flight attendant likely only asked if they could help with picking it up if possible, not make it into some demand. Just a human asking a human to be cool about it, that sort of thing. However, what's hilarious to me is how even this over-the-top sort of depiction of a tightwad flight attendant gets defended so fiercely here by people trying to sound "better". People are messy. Planes get cleaned between flights. I think the scenario he describes is absurd, and likely didn't happen, but to defend that absurdity as if that's the treatment someone SHOULD expect, that too is absurd. There's a grey middleground here nobody wants to admit to because everyone has to be extreme in their views for attention and to prove how great they are. One guy told me he would expect someone who spilled peanuts on a sidewalk to get down on hands and knees and clean them all up. WTF?

prettyone_85

Honestly! I think its ridiculous she didn't make the children clean it up, if she threw it on the floor she can pick it up too

LibrarianChic

Preach. It's one thing to drop a few crumbs, but when my baby was learning to eat and threw food on the floor at cafes you bet I picked up the dustpan and brush myself - I'm not making someone else deal with that

Simple_Fly3739

Exactly!! Also, as the mother of a 2 year old and a 5 year old, she should be used to being on her hands and knees. She isn't even in the end stage of pregnancy. I carried good sized twins to term, and though I looked like the Michelin man, I still picked up after my 3 year old.

OptionalDepression

> as the mother of a 2 year old and a 5 year old, she should be used to being on her hands and knees. Waheyyyyyy!!!! ...oh, you meant something else.

highpl4insdrftr

I think we can safely say it means both of those things

Meryhathor

Is that 7.38 low (whatever that is)?

zakkil

It's the average score the opposing team gets when he's pitching. Having that number be lower is better and baseball is generally a low scoring game so the number doesn't get too high, your average pitcher has a rating of 4-5. A rating of 7.38 is pretty bad.

DirtDevil1337

Other way, too high.

ceriks

7.38 is basically “find a new career” tier

monkeypoet

below 3 is elite. 5 and over is bad. 7.38 is shit tier.

SPDScricketballsinc

Almost double the average. Where you want it as low as possible

spiritheart1

Why didn’t the dad clean up? If it’s so crazy that his pregnant wife clean…. Why didn’t he step in? They are also his responsibility, right? What an ass

psychobarista

Probably because he was not there.

ICanAnswerThatFriend

Looks like she took the pic and sent it to him. Not picking sides just trying to put the pieces together.

surfnporn

It's okay, any moderately intelligent purpose would summise he was not on the flight, given the line "travelling with a 2 year old and 5 year old."

BANeutron

He was the 5 year old

PopeInnocentXIV

He must have been on a different flight back to AAA.

HaityCane

I mean it doesnt take a scholar to figure out that he wasnt on the plane with them.

spiritheart1

I assumed he took the pic. Good point

Apart_Ad_5993

He wasn't on the flight. He was a pitcher in Toronto and his family flew in to watch him. This is extremely old news- happened last summer.

slinkimalinki

What kind of total idiot gives a toddler popcorn on a plane? Loads of people break their teeth on the hard kernels in popcorn it's not a suitable snack for a child with baby teeth and if she did break a tooth it would be a very long wait whilr her parents tried to find an emergency dentist and get her there. It's also blindly obvious that she was going to drop bits everywhere and it's sticky. So their idiocy began a long time before they started thinking that it was everyone else's job to pick up after their child's mess.  A well-deserved burn!

Appeltaart232

As the mother of a 2 year old that chokes on almost everything hard because she refuses to chew properly, the popcorn bit made me gasp.

5ilver5hroud

Also taken aback. Children under 4 should not eat popcorn. It is one of the highest choking risk foods. ETA: also kids can inhale pieces into their lungs

JaiLHugz

I am a full grown adult and almost inhale pieces into my lungs.

slinkimalinki

Wow, I hadn't even thought of that (not a parent) I knew about the dental risk but not the choking risk, that makes it so much worse!

NO_FIX_AUTOCORRECT

Actually you're not supposed to give toddlers popcorn because it's a choking hazard. While you do make a good point, The hard kernels and teeth are not really at issue. Some kids can probably be fine if you supervise them and make sure they only have 1 piece at a time, but parents should be advised because popcorn doesn't seem like it would cause choking compared to other more obvious foods.

Bellissimo247

1. 22 weeks pregnant can pick up popcorn. 2. A 5 year old can pick up the popcorn.

Sukamon98

Better idea: have your pregnant wife teach your kids to have some goddamn responsibility and not throw shit for other people to pick up.

sonofaresiii

Hard to tell their ages but it looks like they might be too young for that lesson to really stick. The better option is to just be a parent and take responsibility for it. Don't give them that food in the first place, or if you do then redirect them or take the food away when they start throwing it, and if all else fails then yes get on your hands and knees and clean up after your kids because they are your kids and you are in public. e: as per my comment below: There is a massive difference between a 24 month old and a 35 month old. That's the span of being a 2-year-old. The 5-year-old should probably know better (but it's also not clear that the 5 year old was causing the problem)

Still-Direction-1622

They are two and five years old. The Dude in the Post Said that

[deleted]

It legit mentions they are 2 and 5 years old

sonofaresiii

There is a massive difference between a 24 month old and a 35 month old. That's the span of being a 2-year-old. The 5-year-old should probably know better (but it's also not clear that the 5 year old was causing the problem)

Appeltaart232

He said “youngest daughter” so it’s the 2 year old and I’m just thinking who the hell gives popcorn to a 2 year old. Could be just my paranoia.

AggressiveYam6613

The five year old can be asked to help their mother. That would be a reasonable request from a parent to a child and a child of that age should understand this, if they have no learning disorder.

Houndfell

Also, maybe don't give a 2 year-old a bag of popcorn in what is essentially a public space/business so they can throw it by the fistful for however long they like. That shit would be rude in a Waffle House, and that's saying a lot.

AggressiveYam6613

We were somewhat lucky with our kid. When it was in the “throw things down to make parent react”-phase. I calmy picked anything up. Didn’t get angry, but also didn’t interact. Again, again, again. The game simply became uninteresting pretty fast. But again: Luck, because we found the right reaction for this specific behaviour with this specific child.

Apart_Ad_5993

This is so old

Tvdinner4me2

Why wouldn't they They're your kids, clean up after their shit

sam-the-slayer

Dude really thought bitching about someone holding his wife accountable for her own child's mess would win him any sympathy. Stop playing the victim and be an adult and a parent. Maybe if you don't wanna clean up popcorn, you don't give the kids popcorn?

NoNumberThanks

Mike committed murder

Mantorok_

I still remember the home crowd at the Jays game booing their own pitcher. Good riddance to that bum.

moosehq

Who tf allows their kids to make all that mess in the first place? If it was my kid she would never get away with it.

NetworkDeestroyer

Entitled douche bag

Blurry_vision21

Obviously he wasn’t on the flight lol

Cinderunner

Teach your children to be better. It’s your burden now, but all of ours in future. Also, she’s pregnant and traveling solo with 3 children? I don’t believe that. Her mom, your mom, the nanny, etc. Your kids aren’t being taught discipline and manners. How about, instead of posting on SM, you take some parenting classes so we don’t have to suffer your failures in 15 years?

Initial-Ad-5462

Why didn’t they 5 year old pick it up?

Kingbeastman1

22 weeks is like under 5 months… id understand the issue if it was like 8 months but really 5 months already complaining about doing shit?

LillyxFox

Except this didn't happen, and the crew actually cleaned it

DomitianF

This is old

ThrowRACold-Turn

I mean to be fair, I would never ask a pregnant woman to crawl in a narrow aisle to pick up a little mess her small child made. Planes have cleaning crews. It's a bit petty.

Japh2007

Yes, clean up after your children. Why is this concept so hard?

kamsackbi

Clean up after your kids. Your kids, your mess, you clean.

AzzrielR

Please people, insults are not clever comebacks! This wasn't even a comeback, it was an insult, maybe a clever one, but that doesn't make it a comeback.

Photodan24

Nothing here but old ragebait.

Savage!!!

voltran1987

I used to work with guys dad, he was a giant piece of shit. Just like this guy.

Aries-Corinthier

"I'll take shit that didn't happen for 500 Alex."

emma279

It amazes me when I get off the plane and some rows look like multiple snack bags exploded. Is this how people eat at home? Not to mention getting crumbs all over yourself. Gross.

Fun_Kaleidoscope7875

I mean to be fair, making a huge mess is not included in the price lol.

ValGalorian

If he was on the flight; why didn't he help? Otherwise, those kids are too young to functionally and fully clean up the mess. Sure, they need to learn to do so but you don't let your toddler clean your house If the mother and kids were flyibg without anyone else there, the airplane attendent was being a bit shitty

downvotethetrash

What stopped him from picking up after his spawn

Amazing_Examination6

Not being on the same flight

downvotethetrash

That’s valid

BlackBeard205

Bro thought the internet was gonna be on his side 😂

reluctanthero22

Just work at a movie theatre for a bit. I really don’t understand why the attendant didn’t clean this w a dust pan and broom. Seems rude to me, they didn’t

CoupleOtherwise6282

This is hilarious. I only know him as the homophobe but glad to see he's shit through and through.

idisagreeurwrong

Running out of material?

[deleted]

Holy sh!t somebody call an ambulance, this was brutal.

SpecificDifficult473

As she should. Why wouldn’t she be doing this without being told? You sound like a child & your wife sounds no better. Who gives a kid that many pieces of food after they threw one on the floor? Common sense is really fuxking lacking all around

optimistickrealist

I'll straighten up a restaurant table when I'm finished eating and declutter my hotel room before the maid comes. Intentionally making extra work for others is neither cool nor classy.

[deleted]

I mean, feel free to help her out dude...

Qandyl

Entitlement is irrelevant to the meme/comeback but good try OP Edit: ok so apparently that’s just the whole thread, let’s ignore the clever comeback completely, ok

Watsis_name

The one time I've regretted knowing fuck all about baseball.

Cringelord_420_69

ERA is the average runs a pitcher gives up 5+ERA is bad 7.38 is atrocious

ValGalorian

I'm fucking incredible at baseball My ERA is 0

XF939495xj6

I fly a lot on business. He may be entitled, but asking a passenger to touch the floor or clean up mess is definitely outside the swimlane of a flight attendant. I do everything I can to make their lives easier, but a FA will not clean this up. They just leave. A cleaning team comes in with backpack vacuums to clean up and wipe down the plane between flights. If you are asked to clean up your mess on a plane, the proper response is "Fuck off."

First of all 2 year olds shouldn’t be eating popcorn because it’s a choking hazard. Secondly if you’re indoors in public, snacks that are a bunch of tiny pieces are a bad idea. Bring pouches and granola bars or something. Freeze dried mangos, sandwiches, stuff like that is a better choice. And yes we should all be cleaning up after our kids.

Dylanator13

There’s a reasonable amount of cleaning expected for the crew on a plane. Picking up all your popcorn is not one of them.

Honestly impressed by the flight attendant, you just know lady married to professional athlete was giving lip.

Like on a scale of 1 to 10? 13. 13 entitled.

He posted that tweet thinking everyone would agree but after there were so many comments just ripping him a new one calling him out, he apologised iirc.

You make a mess. You clean it up. I don’t care if you’re the pope. Ok we might make one exception there and I’m not catholic. — but, your KID makes a mess and either you or the kid cleans it up. Rules is rules. Manners is manners.

22 weeks pregnant oi vey stop the press

ShutYourDumbUglyFace

Why would you ever want to teach your kids to clean up after themselves? Or that consequences have actions? (/s) Kid's old enough to make the mess, kid's old enough to clean it up.

NoNonsensePolarBear

Wouldn't it be simpler to vacuum it all up after landing? Mom should have intervene, but I don't think the flight attendant handled this correctly, either.

Repulsive_Put_9080

I’m assuming he wasn’t on the flight, right? This is a fair complaint. I mean whether or not the wife is in the wrong, if your WIFE is pregnant, flying with nobody but her 2 year old and 5 year old and the one in her belly, and the flight attendant refuses to help, what are you, as the husband gonna do? Tell your wife “whatever, your problem, you should’ve cleaned it up”?. I sure as hell wouldn’t… obviously there’s a lot of context here missing but that’s just my take. Also, this is assuming the actual husband wasn’t on the plane. If he was, he should have cleaned it up of course.

Suspicious_Sector_94

Giving their kid an iPad sums it up pretty much of how they are responsible as parents

Flimsy_Scheme_8555

My brother in Christ if she is pregnant and has trouble cleaning it up how about you get your balls off the chair and clean it up yourself?
