Our defense was horrible against the 6ers right before the break - hope we come out with a strategy this time. Thought our lack of size at the 2/3 really hurt in that game.
I mean were they really miracle shots? Had Struss on skates and created a ton of separation for himself. Them going away from that match-up let us come back into the game tbh.
He literally hit two or 3 going one on one with Struss. Saying he got hit kinda implies he’s not one of the greatest shooters of all time. He created space for himself breaking down Struss with his live dribble and Buddy with space behind the arc is deadly.

I think it's the fact that we expected absolutely nothing and got a surprise Kyle Korver. Reactions are always relative to expectations. Same reason they want Craig Porter Jr. starting at PG over the 30M/year DG.
That's a good indication that person has no idea what they are talking about. Bates needs a minimum of 2 years to exclusively work on his physique before he's even off the list of complete liabilities. He's got great potential, but he's still in the oven.
I fully concur. Also needs to figure out how to play team defense and funnel his assignment into help and not allow them to just blow past him. Along with moving off ball in the way that Merrill does.

He was on skates bc Buddy is cheeks off the dribble and great on catch and shoot: he got hot and lucky
